DEUTERONOMY 31 6 Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be AFRAID of them: for the LORD thy God, he it is that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee. JOSHUA 1 7 Only be thou strong and very courageous, that thou MAYEST observe to do according to all the law, which Moses my servant commanded thee: turn not from it to the right hand or to the left, that thou MAYEST prosper withersoever thou goest. 8 This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou MAYEST observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success. 9 Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not AFRAID, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest. JOSHUA 9 24 And they answered Joshua, and said, Because it was certainly told thy servants, how that the LORD thy God commanded his servant Moses to give you all the land, and to destroy all the inhabitants of the land from before you, therefore we were sore AFRAID of our lives because of you, and have done this thing. JOSHUA 11 6 And the LORD said unto Joshua, Be not AFRAID because of them: for to morrow about this time will I deliver them up all slain before Israel: thou shalt hough their horses, and burn their chariots with fire. JUDGES 7 3 Now therefore go to, proclaim in the ears of the people, saying, Whosoever is fearful and AFRAID, let him return and depart early from mount Gilead. And there returned of the people twenty and two thousand; and there remained ten thousand. JUDGES 9 33 And it shall be, that in the morning, as soon as the sun is up, thou shalt rise early, and set upon the city: and, behold, when he and the people that is with him come out against thee, then MAYEST thou do to them as thou shalt find occasion. JUDGES 11 8 And the elders of Gilead said unto Jephthah, Therefore we turn again to thee now, that thou MAYEST go with us, and fight against the children of Ammon, and be our head over all the inhabitants of Gilead. JUDGES 19 9 And when the man rose up to depart, he, and his concubine, and his servant, his father in law, the damsel's father, said unto him, Behold, now the day draweth toward evening, I pray you tarry all night: behold, the day groweth to an end, lodge here, that thine heart may be merry; and to morrow get you early on your way, that thou MAYEST go home. RUTH 3 8 And it came to pass at midnight, that the man was AFRAID, and turned himself: and, behold, a woman lay at his feet. 1 SAMUEL 4 7 And the Philistines were AFRAID, for they said, God is come into the camp. And they said, Woe unto us! for there hath not been such a thing heretofore. 1 SAMUEL 7 7 And when the Philistines heard that the children of Israel were gathered together to Mizpeh, the lords of the Philistines went up against Israel. And when the children of Israel heard it, they were AFRAID of the Philistines. 1 SAMUEL 17 11 When Saul and all Israel heard those words of the Philistine, they were dismayed, and greatly AFRAID. 24 And all the men of Israel, when they saw the man, fled from him, and were sore AFRAID. 1 SAMUEL 18 12 And Saul was AFRAID of David, because the LORD was with him, and was departed from Saul. 15 Wherefore when Saul saw that he behaved himself very wisely, he was AFRAID of him. 29 And Saul was yet the more AFRAID of David; and Saul became David's enemy continually. 1 SAMUEL 20 13 The LORD do so and much more to Jonathan: but if it please my father to do thee evil, then I will shew it thee, and send thee away, that thou MAYEST go in peace: and the LORD be with thee, as he hath been with my father. 1 SAMUEL 21 1 Then came David to Nob to Ahimelech the priest: and Ahimelech was AFRAID at the meeting of David, and said unto him, Why art thou alone, and no man with thee? 12 And David laid up these words in his heart, and was sore AFRAID of Achish the king of Gath. 1 SAMUEL 23 3 And David's men said unto him, Behold, we be AFRAID here in Judah: how much more then if we come to Keilah against the armies of the Philistines? 1 SAMUEL 24 4 And the men of David said unto him, Behold the day of which the LORD said unto thee, Behold, I will deliver thine enemy into thine hand, that thou MAYEST do to him as it shall seem good unto thee. Then David arose, and cut off the skirt of Saul's robe privily. 1 SAMUEL 28 5 And when Saul saw the host of the Philistines, he was AFRAID, and his heart greatly trembled. 13 And the king said unto her, Be not AFRAID: for what sawest thou? And the woman said unto Saul, I saw gods ascending out of the earth. 15 And Samuel said to Saul, Why hast thou disquieted me, to bring me up? And Saul answered, I am sore distressed; for the Philistines make war against me, and God is departed from me, and answereth me no more, neither by prophets, nor by dreams: therefore I have called thee, that thou MAYEST make known unto me what I shall do. 20 Then Saul fell straightway all along on the earth, and was sore AFRAID, because of the words of Samuel: and there was no strength in him; for he had eaten no bread all the day, nor all the night. 22 Now therefore, I pray thee, hearken thou also unto the voice of thine handmaid, and let me set a morsel of bread before thee; and eat, that thou MAYEST have strength, when thou goest on thy way. 1 SAMUEL 31 4 Then said Saul unto his armourbearer, Draw thy sword, and thrust me through therewith; lest these uncircumcised come and thrust me through, and abuse me. And David sent Abner away; and he went in peace. 2 SAMUEL 6 9 And David was AFRAID of the LORD that day, and said, How shall the ark of the LORD come to me? 2 SAMUEL 14 15 Now therefore that I am come to speak of this thing unto my lord the king, it is because the people have made me AFRAID: and thy handmaid said, I will now speak unto the king; it may be that the king will perform the request of his handmaid. 2 SAMUEL 15 34 But if thou return to the city, and say unto Absalom, I will be thy servant, O king; as I have been thy father's servant hitherto, so will I now also be thy servant: then MAYEST thou for me defeat the counsel of Ahithophel. 2 SAMUEL 17 2 And I will come upon him while he is weary and weak handed, and will make him AFRAID: and all the people that are with him shall flee; and I will smite the king only: 2 SAMUEL 22 5 When the waves of death compassed me, the floods of ungodly men made me AFRAID; 28 And the afflicted people thou wilt save: but thine eyes are upon the haughty, that thou MAYEST bring them down. 46 Strangers shall fade away, and they shall be AFRAID out of their close places. 1 KINGS 1 12 Now therefore come, let me, I pray thee, give thee counsel, that thou MAYEST save thine own life, and the life of thy son Solomon. 49 And all the guests that were with Adonijah were AFRAID, and rose up, and went every man his way. 1 KINGS 2 3 And keep the charge of the LORD thy God, to walk in his ways, to keep his statutes, and his commandments, and his judgments, and his testimonies, as it is written in the law of Moses, that thou MAYEST prosper in all that thou doest, and whithersoever thou turnest thyself: 31 And the king said unto him, Do as he hath said, and fall upon him, and bury him; that thou MAYEST take away the innocent blood, which Joab shed, from me, and from the house of my father. 1 KINGS 8 29 That thine eyes may be open toward this house night and day, even toward the place of which thou hast said, My name shall be there: that thou MAYEST hearken unto the prayer which thy servant shall make toward this place. 2 KINGS 1 15 And the angel of the LORD said unto Elijah, Go down with him: be not AFRAID of him.
