NUMBERS 35 6 And among the cities which ye shall give unto the Levites there shall be six cities for refuge, which ye shall appoint for the manslayer, that he may FLEE thither: and to them ye shall add forty and two cities. 11 Then ye shall appoint you cities to be cities of refuge for you; that the slayer may FLEE thither, which killeth any person at unawares. 15 These six cities shall be a refuge, both for the children of Israel, and for the stranger, and for the sojourner among them: that every one that killeth any person unawares may FLEE thither. DEUTERONOMY 2 12 The Horims also dwelt in Seir beforetime; but the children of Esau succeeded them, when they had destroyed them from before them, and dwelt in their stead; as Israel did unto the land of his possession, which the LORD GAVE unto them. DEUTERONOMY 3 12 And this land, which we possessed at that time, from Aroer, which is by the river Arnon, and half mount Gilead, and the cities thereof, GAVE I unto the Reubenites and to the Gadites. 13 And the rest of Gilead, and all Bashan, being the kingdom of Og, GAVE I unto the half tribe of Manasseh; all the region of Argob, with all Bashan, which was called the land of giants. 15 And I GAVE Gilead unto Machir. 16 And unto the Reubenites and unto the Gadites I GAVE from Gilead even unto the river Arnon half the valley, and the border even unto the river Jabbok, which is the border of the children of Ammon; DEUTERONOMY 4 42 That the slayer might FLEE thither, which should kill his neighbour unawares, and hated him not in times past; and that fleeing unto one of these cities he might live: DEUTERONOMY 9 11 And it came to pass at the end of forty days and forty nights, that the LORD GAVE me the two tables of stone, even the tables of the covenant. DEUTERONOMY 10 4 And he wrote on the tables, according to the first writing, the ten commandments, which the LORD spake unto you in the mount out of the midst of the fire in the day of the assembly: and the LORD GAVE them unto me. DEUTERONOMY 19 3 Thou shalt prepare thee a way, and divide the coasts of thy land, which the LORD thy God giveth thee to inherit, into three parts, that every slayer may FLEE thither. 4 And this is the case of the slayer, which shall FLEE thither, that he may live: Whoso killeth his neighbour ignorantly, whom he hated not in time past; 5 As when a man goeth into the wood with his neighbour to hew wood, and his hand fetcheth a stroke with the axe to cut down the tree, and the head slippeth from the helve, and lighteth upon his neighbour, that he die; he shall FLEE unto one of those cities, and live: DEUTERONOMY 22 16 And the damsel's father shall say unto the elders, I GAVE my daughter unto this man to wife, and he hateth her; DEUTERONOMY 28 7 The LORD shall cause thine enemies that rise up against thee to be smitten before thy face: they shall come out against thee one way, and FLEE before thee seven ways. 25 The LORD shall cause thee to be smitten before thine enemies: thou shalt go out one way against them, and FLEE seven ways before them: and shalt be removed into all the kingdoms of the earth. DEUTERONOMY 29 8 And we took their land, and GAVE it for an inheritance unto the Reubenites, and to the Gadites, and to the half tribe of Manasseh. DEUTERONOMY 31 23 And he GAVE Joshua the son of Nun a charge, and said, Be strong and of a good courage: for thou shalt bring the children of Israel into the land which I sware unto them: and I will be with thee. --MORE-- |
