JUDGES 6 8 That the LORD sent a prophet unto the children of Israel, which said unto them, Thus saith the LORD God of Israel, I brought you up from Egypt, and brought you FORTH out of the house of bondage; 18 Depart not hence, I pray thee, until I come unto thee, and bring FORTH my present, and set it before thee. And he said, I will tarry until thou come again. 21 Then the angel of the LORD put FORTH the end of the staff that was in his hand, and touched the flesh and the unleavened cakes; and there rose up fire out of the rock, and consumed the flesh and the unleavened cakes. Then the angel of the LORD departed out of his sight. 37 Behold, I will put a FLEECE of wool in the floor; and if the dew be on the FLEECE only, and it be dry upon all the earth beside, then shall I know that thou wilt save Israel by mine hand, as thou hast said. 38 And it was so: for he rose up early on the morrow, and thrust the FLEECE together, and wringed the dew out of the FLEECE, a bowl full of water. 39 And Gideon said unto God, Let not thine anger be hot against me, and I will speak but this once: let me prove, I pray thee, but this once with the FLEECE; let it now be dry only upon the FLEECE, and upon all the ground let there be dew. 40 And God did so that night: for it was dry upon the FLEECE only, and there was dew on all the ground. JUDGES 9 8 The trees went FORTH on a time to anoint a king over them; and they said unto the olive tree, Reign thou over us. 43 And he took the people, and divided them into three companies, and laid wait in the field, and looked, and, behold, the people were come FORTH out of the city; and he rose up against them, and smote them. JUDGES 11 31 Then it shall be, that whatsoever cometh FORTH of the doors of my house to meet me, when I return in peace from the children of Ammon, shall surely be the LORD's, and I will offer it up for a burnt offering. JUDGES 14 12 And Samson said unto them, I will now put FORTH a riddle unto you: if ye can certainly declare it me within the seven days of the feast, and find it out, then I will give you thirty sheets and thirty change of garments: 13 But if ye cannot declare it me, then shall ye give me thirty sheets and thirty change of garments. And they said unto him, Put FORTH thy riddle, that we may hear it. 14 And he said unto them, Out of the eater came FORTH meat, and out of the strong came FORTH sweetness. And they could not in three days expound the riddle. 16 And Samson's wife wept before him, and said, Thou dost but hate me, and lovest me not: thou hast put FORTH a riddle unto the children of my people, and hast not told it me. And he said unto her, Behold, I have not told it my father nor my mother, and shall I tell it thee? JUDGES 15 15 And he found a new jawbone of an ass, and put FORTH his hand, and took it, and slew a thousand men therewith. JUDGES 19 22 Now as they were making their hearts merry, behold, the men of the city, certain sons of Belial, beset the house round about, and beat at the door, and spake to the master of the house, the old man, saying, Bring FORTH the man that came into thine house, that we may know him. 25 But the men would not hearken to him: so the man took his concubine, and brought her FORTH unto them; and they knew her, and abused her all the night until the morning: and when the day began to spring, they let her go. JUDGES 20 21 And the children of Benjamin came FORTH out of Gibeah, and destroyed down to the ground of the Israelites that day twenty and two thousand men. 25 And Benjamin went FORTH against them out of Gibeah the second day, and destroyed down to the ground of the children of Israel again eighteen thousand men; all these drew the sword. 33 And all the men of Israel rose up out of their place, and put themselves in array at Baaltamar: and the liers in wait of Israel came FORTH out of their places, even out of the meadows of Gibeah. RUTH 1 7 Wherefore she went FORTH out of the place where she was, and her two daughters in law with her; and they went on the way to return unto the land of Judah. RUTH 2 18 And she took it up, and went into the city: and her mother in law saw what she had gleaned: and she brought FORTH, and gave to her that she had reserved after she was sufficed. 1 SAMUEL 11 7 And he took a yoke of oxen, and hewed them in pieces, and sent them throughout all the coasts of Israel by the hands of messengers, saying, Whosoever cometh not FORTH after Saul and after Samuel, so shall it be done unto his oxen. And the fear of the LORD fell on the people, and they came out with one consent. 1 SAMUEL 12 8 When Jacob was come into Egypt, and your fathers cried unto the LORD, then the LORD sent Moses and Aaron, which brought FORTH your fathers out of Egypt, and made them dwell in this place. 1 SAMUEL 14 11 And both of them discovered themselves unto the garrison of the Philistines: and the Philistines said, Behold, the Hebrews come FORTH out of the holes where they had hid themselves. 27 But Jonathan heard not when his father charged the people with the oath: wherefore he put FORTH the end of the rod that was in his hand, and dipped it in an honeycomb, and put his hand to his mouth; and his eyes were enlightened. 1 SAMUEL 17 20 And David rose up early in the morning, and left the sheep with a keeper, and took, and went, as Jesse had commanded him; and he came to the trench, as the host was going FORTH to the fight, and shouted for the battle. 55 And when Saul saw David go FORTH against the Philistine, he said unto Abner, the captain of the host, Abner, whose son is this youth? And Abner said, As thy soul liveth, O king, I cannot tell. 1 SAMUEL 18 30 Then the princes of the Philistines went FORTH: and it came to pass, after they went FORTH, that David behaved himself more wisely than all the servants of Saul; so that his name was much set by. 1 SAMUEL 22 3 And David went thence to Mizpeh of Moab: and he said unto the king of Moab, Let my father and my mother, I pray thee, come FORTH, and be with you, till I know what God will do for me. 17 And the king said unto the footmen that stood about him, Turn, and slay the priests of the LORD: because their hand also is with David, and because they knew when he fled, and did not shew it to me. But the servants of the king would not put FORTH their hand to fall upon the priests of the LORD. 1 SAMUEL 23 13 Then David and his men, which were about six hundred, arose and departed out of Keilah, and went whithersoever they could go. And it was told Saul that David was escaped from Keilah; and he forbare to go FORTH. 1 SAMUEL 24 6 And he said unto his men, The LORD forbid that I should do this thing unto my master, the LORD's anointed, to stretch FORTH mine hand against him, seeing he is the anointed of the LORD. 10 Behold, this day thine eyes have seen how that the LORD had delivered thee to day into mine hand in the cave: and some bade me kill thee: but mine eye spared thee; and I said, I will not put FORTH mine hand against my lord; for he is the LORD's anointed. 1 SAMUEL 26 9 And David said to Abishai, Destroy him not: for who can stretch FORTH his hand against the LORD's anointed, and be guiltless? 11 The LORD forbid that I should stretch FORTH mine hand against the LORD's anointed: but, I pray thee, take thou now the spear that is at his bolster, and the cruse of water, and let us go. 23 The LORD render to every man his righteousness and his faithfulness; for the LORD delivered thee into my hand to day, but I would not stretch FORTH mine hand against the LORD's anointed. 1 SAMUEL 30 21 And David came to the two hundred men, which were so faint that they could not follow David, whom they had made also to abide at the brook Besor: and they went FORTH to meet David, and to meet the people that were with him: and when David came near to the people, he saluted them. 2 SAMUEL 1 14 And David said unto him, How wast thou not afraid to stretch FORTH thine hand to destroy the LORD's anointed? 2 SAMUEL 3 3 And his second, Chileab, of Abigail the wife of Nabal the Carmelite; and the third, ABSALOM the son of Maacah the daughter of Talmai king of Geshur; 2 SAMUEL 5 20 And David came to Baalperazim, and David smote them there, and said, The LORD hath broken FORTH upon mine enemies before me, as the breach of waters. Therefore he called the name of that place Baalperazim. 2 SAMUEL 6 6 And when they came to Nachon's threshingfloor, Uzzah put FORTH his hand to the ark of God, and took hold of it; for the oxen shook it. 2 SAMUEL 11 1 And it came to pass, after the year was expired, at the time when kings go FORTH to battle, that David sent Joab, and his servants with him, and all Israel; and they destroyed the children of Ammon, and besieged Rabbah. But David tarried still at Jerusalem. 2 SAMUEL 12 30 And he took their king's crown from off his head, the weight whereof was a talent of gold with the precious stones: and it was set on David's head. And he brought FORTH the spoil of the city in great abundance. 31 And he brought FORTH the people that were therein, and put them under saws, and under harrows of iron, and under axes of iron, and made them pass through the brick-kiln: and thus did he unto all the cities of the children of Ammon. So David and all the people returned unto Jerusalem. 2 SAMUEL 13 1 And it came to pass after this, that ABSALOM the son of David had a fair sister, whose name was Tamar; and Amnon the son of David loved her. 4 And he said unto him, Why art thou, being the king's son, lean from day to day? wilt thou not tell me? And Amnon said unto him, I love Tamar, my brother ABSALOM's sister. 20 And ABSALOM her brother said unto her, Hath Amnon thy brother been with thee? but hold now thy peace, my sister: he is thy brother; regard not this thing. So Tamar remained desolate in her brother ABSALOM's house. 22 And ABSALOM spake unto his brother Amnon neither good nor bad: for ABSALOM hated Amnon, because he had forced his sister Tamar. 23 And it came to pass after two full years, that ABSALOM had sheepshearers in Baalhazor, which is beside Ephraim: and ABSALOM invited all the king's sons. 24 And ABSALOM came to the king, and said, Behold now, thy servant hath sheepshearers; let the king, I beseech thee, and his servants go with thy servant. 25 And the king said to ABSALOM, Nay, my son, let us not all now go, lest we be chargeable unto thee. And he pressed him: howbeit he would not go, but blessed him. 26 Then said ABSALOM, If not, I pray thee, let my brother Amnon go with us. And the king said unto him, Why should he go with thee? 27 But ABSALOM pressed him, that he let Amnon and all the king's sons go with him. 28 Now ABSALOM had commanded his servants, saying, Mark ye now when Amnon's heart is merry with wine, and when I say unto you, Smite Amnon; then kill him, fear not: have not I commanded you? be courageous, and be valiant. 29 And the servants of ABSALOM did unto Amnon as ABSALOM had commanded. Then all the king's sons arose, and every man gat him up upon his mule, and fled. 30 And it came to pass, while they were in the way, that tidings came to David, saying, ABSALOM hath slain all the king's sons, and there is not one of them left. 32 And Jonadab, the son of Shimeah David's brother, answered and said, Let not my lord suppose that they have slain all the young men the king's sons; for Amnon only is dead: for by the appointment of ABSALOM this hath been determined from the day that he forced his sister Tamar. 34 But ABSALOM fled. And the young man that kept the watch lifted up his eyes, and looked, and, behold, there came much people by the way of the hill side behind him. 37 But ABSALOM fled, and went to Talmai, the son of Ammihud, king of Geshur. And David mourned for his son every day. 38 So ABSALOM fled, and went to Geshur, and was there three years. 39 And the soul of king David longed to go FORTH unto ABSALOM: for he was comforted concerning Amnon, seeing he was dead. --MORE-- |
