2 TIMOTHY 4 3 FOR the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; 6 FOR I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand. 8 Henceforth there is laid up FOR me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing. 10 FOR Demas hath forsaken me, having loved this present world, and is departed unto Thessalonica; Crescens to Galatia, Titus unto Dalmatia. 11 Only Luke is with me. Take Mark, and bring him with thee: FOR he is profitable to me FOR the ministry. 15 Of whom be thou ware also; FOR he hath greatly withstood our words. 18 And the Lord shall deliver me from every evil work, and will preserve me unto his heavenly kingdom: to whom be glory FOR ever and ever. Amen. TITUS 1 5 FOR this cause left I thee in Crete, that thou shouldest set in order the things that are wanting, and ordain elders in every city, as I had appointed thee: 7 FOR a bishop must be blameless, as the steward of God; not selfwilled, not soon angry, not given to wine, no striker, not given to filthy lucre; 10 FOR there are many unruly and vain talkers and deceivers, specially they of the circumcision: 11 Whose mouths must be stopped, who subvert whole houses, teaching things which they ought not, FOR filthy lucre's sake. TITUS 2 11 FOR the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, 13 Looking FOR that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ; 14 Who gave himself FOR us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works. TITUS 3 3 FOR we ourselves also were sometimes foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving divers lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, and hating one another. 9 But avoid foolish questions, and genealogies, and contentions, and strivings about the law; FOR they are unprofitable and vain. 12 When I shall send Artemas unto thee, or Tychicus, be diligent to come unto me to Nicopolis: FOR I have determined there to winter. 14 And let our's also learn to maintain good works FOR necessary uses, that they be not unfruitful. PHILEMON 1 7 FOR we have great joy and consolation in thy love, because the bowels of the saints are refreshed by thee, brother. 9 Yet FOR love's sake I rather beseech thee, being such an one as Paul the aged, and now also a prisoner of Jesus Christ. 10 I beseech thee FOR my son Onesimus, whom I have begotten in my bonds: 15 FOR perhaps he therefore departed FOR a season, that thou shouldest receive him FOR ever; 22 But withal prepare me also a lodging: FOR I trust that through your prayers I shall be given unto you. HEBREWS 1 5 FOR unto which of the angels said he at any time, Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee? And again, I will be to him a Father, and he shall be to me a Son? 8 But unto the Son he saith, Thy throne, O God, is FOR ever and ever: a sceptre of righteousness is the sceptre of thy kingdom. 14 Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister FOR them who shall be heirs of salvation? HEBREWS 2 2 FOR if the word spoken by angels was stedfast, and every transgression and disobedience received a just recompence of reward; 5 FOR unto the angels hath he not put in subjection the world to come, whereof we speak. 8 Thou hast put all things in subjection under his feet. FOR in that he put all in subjection under him, he left nothing that is not put under him. But now we see not yet all things put under him. 9 But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels FOR the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honour; that he by the grace of God should taste death FOR every man. 10 FOR it became him, FOR whom are all things, and by whom are all things, in bringing many sons unto glory, to make the captain of their salvation perfect through sufferings. 11 FOR both he that sanctifieth and they who are sanctified are all of one: FOR which cause he is not ashamed to call them brethren, 16 FOR verily he took not on him the nature of angels; but he took on him the seed of Abraham. 17 Wherefore in all things it behoved him to be made like unto his brethren, that he might be a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God, to make reconciliation FOR the sins of the people. 18 FOR in that he himself hath suffered being tempted, he is able to succour them that are tempted. HEBREWS 3 3 FOR this man was counted worthy of more glory than Moses, inasmuch as he who hath builded the house hath more honour than the house. 4 FOR every house is builded by some man; but he that built all things is God. 5 And Moses verily was faithful in all his house, as a servant, FOR a testimony of those things which were to be spoken after; 14 FOR we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence stedfast unto the end; 16 FOR some, when they had heard, did provoke: howbeit not all that came out of Egypt by Moses. HEBREWS 4 2 FOR unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it. 3 FOR we which have believed do enter into rest, as he said, As I have sworn in my wrath, if they shall enter into my rest: although the works were finished from the foundation of the world. 4 FOR he spake in a certain place of the seventh day on this wise, And God did rest the seventh day from all his works. 8 FOR if Jesus had given them rest, then would he not afterward have spoken of another day. 10 FOR he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his. 12 FOR the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. 15 FOR we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. HEBREWS 5 1 FOR every high priest taken from among men is ordained FOR men in things pertaining to God, that he may offer both gifts and sacrifices FOR sins: 2 Who can have compassion on the ignorant, and on them that are out of the way; FOR that he himself also is compassed with infirmity. 3 And by reason hereof he ought, as FOR the people, so also FOR himself, to offer FOR sins. 6 As he saith also in another place, Thou art a priest FOR ever after the order of Melchisedec. 12 FOR when FOR the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again which be the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat. 13 FOR every one that useth milk is unskilful in the word of righteousness: FOR he is a babe. --MORE-- |
