1 THESSALONIANS 5 2 FOR yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night. 3 FOR when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape. 7 FOR they that sleep sleep in the night; and they that be drunken are drunken in the night. 8 But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and FOR an helmet, the hope of salvation. 9 FOR God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ, 10 Who died FOR us, that, whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with him. 13 And to esteem them very highly in love FOR their work's sake. And be at peace among yourselves. 15 See that none render evil FOR evil unto any man; but ever follow that which is good, both among yourselves, and to all men. 18 In every thing give thanks: FOR this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you. 25 Brethren, pray FOR us. 2 THESSALONIANS 1 3 We are bound to thank God always FOR you, brethren, as it is meet, because that your faith groweth exceedingly, and the charity of every one of you all toward each other aboundeth; 4 So that we ourselves glory in you in the churches of God FOR your patience and faith in all your persecutions and tribulations that ye endure: 5 Which is a manifest token of the righteous judgment of God, that ye may be counted worthy of the kingdom of God, FOR which ye also suffer: 11 Wherefore also we pray always FOR you, that our God would count you worthy of this calling, and fulfil all the good pleasure of his goodness, and the work of faith with power: 2 THESSALONIANS 2 3 Let no man deceive you by any means: FOR that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; 7 FOR the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way. 11 And FOR this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: 13 But we are bound to give thanks alway to God FOR you, brethren beloved of the Lord, because God hath from the beginning chosen you to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth: 2 THESSALONIANS 3 1 Finally, brethren, pray FOR us, that the word of the Lord may have free course, and be glorified, even as it is with you: 2 And that we may be delivered from unreasonable and wicked men: FOR all men have not faith. 5 And the Lord direct your hearts into the love of God, and into the patient waiting FOR Christ. 7 FOR yourselves know how ye ought to follow us: FOR we behaved not ourselves disorderly among you; 8 Neither did we eat any man's bread FOR nought; but wrought with labour and travail night and day, that we might not be chargeable to any of you: 10 FOR even when we were with you, this we commanded you, that if any would not work, neither should he eat. 11 FOR we hear that there are some which walk among you disorderly, working not at all, but are busybodies. 1 TIMOTHY 1 9 Knowing this, that the law is not made FOR a righteous man, but FOR the lawless and disobedient, FOR the ungodly and FOR sinners, FOR unholy and profane, FOR murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, FOR manslayers, 10 FOR whoremongers, FOR them that defile themselves with mankind, FOR menstealers, FOR liars, FOR perjured persons, and if there be any other thing that is contrary to sound doctrine; 12 And I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who hath enabled me, FOR that he counted me faithful, putting me into the ministry; 16 Howbeit FOR this cause I obtained mercy, that in me first Jesus Christ might shew forth all longsuffering, FOR a pattern to them which should hereafter believe on him to life everlasting. 17 Now unto the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only wise God, be honour and glory FOR ever and ever. Amen. 1 TIMOTHY 2 1 I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made FOR all men; 2 FOR kings, and FOR all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty. 3 FOR this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour; 5 FOR there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; 6 Who gave himself a ransom FOR all, to be testified in due time. 13 FOR Adam was first formed, then Eve. 1 TIMOTHY 3 5 (FOR if a man know not how to rule his own house, how shall he take care of the church of God?) 13 FOR they that have used the office of a deacon well purchase to themselves a good degree, and great boldness in the faith which is in Christ Jesus. 1 TIMOTHY 4 4 FOR every creature of God is good, and nothing to be refused, if it be received with thanksgiving: 5 FOR it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer. 8 FOR bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come. 10 FOR therefore we both labour and suffer reproach, because we trust in the living God, who is the Saviour of all men, specially of those that believe. 16 Take heed unto thyself, and unto the doctrine; continue in them: FOR in doing this thou shalt both save thyself, and them that hear thee. 1 TIMOTHY 5 4 But if any widow have children or nephews, let them learn first to shew piety at home, and to requite their parents: FOR that is good and acceptable before God. 8 But if any provide not FOR his own, and specially FOR those of his own house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel. 10 Well reported of FOR good works; if she have brought up children, if she have lodged strangers, if she have washed the saints' feet, if she have relieved the afflicted, if she have diligently followed every good work. 11 But the younger widows refuse: FOR when they have begun to wax wanton against Christ, they will marry; 15 FOR some are already turned aside after Satan. 18 FOR the scripture saith, Thou shalt not muzzle the ox that treadeth out the corn. And, The labourer is worthy of his reward. 23 Drink no longer water, but use a little wine FOR thy stomach's sake and thine often infirmities. --MORE-- |
