NEHEMIAH 13 19 And it came to pass, that when the GATES of Jerusalem began to be dark before the sabbath, I commanded that the GATES should be shut, and charged that they should not be opened till after the sabbath: and some of my servants set I at the GATES, that there should no burden be brought in on the sabbath day. 22 And I commanded the Levites that they should cleanse themselves, and that they should come and keep the GATES, to sanctify the sabbath day. But Mordecai bowed not, nor did him reverence. 3 Then the king's servants, which were in the king's GATE, said unto Mordecai, Why transgressest thou the king's commandment? ESTHER 6 10 Then the king said to Haman, Make haste, and take the apparel and the horse, as thou hast said, and do even so to Mordecai the Jew, that sitteth at the king's GATE: let nothing fail of all that thou hast spoken. 12 And Mordecai came again to the king's GATE. But Haman hasted to his house mourning, and having his head covered. JOB 5 4 His children are far from safety, and they are crushed in the GATE, neither is there any to deliver them.
