DEUTERONOMY 20 1 When thou goest out to battle against thine enemies, and seest horses, and chariots, and a people more than thou, be not AFRAID of them: for the LORD thy God is with thee, which brought thee up out of the land of Egypt. DEUTERONOMY 21 5 And the PRIESTS the sons of Levi shall come near; for them the LORD thy God hath chosen to minister unto him, and to bless in the name of the LORD; and by their word shall every controversy and every stroke be tried: DEUTERONOMY 24 8 Take heed in the plague of leprosy, that thou observe diligently, and do according to all that the PRIESTS the Levites shall teach you: as I commanded them, so ye shall observe to do. DEUTERONOMY 27 9 And Moses and the PRIESTS the Levites spake unto all Israel, saying, Take heed, and hearken, O Israel; this day thou art become the people of the LORD thy God. DEUTERONOMY 28 10 And all people of the earth shall see that thou art called by the name of the LORD; and they shall be AFRAID of thee. 60 Moreover he will bring upon thee all the diseases of Egypt, which thou wast AFRAID of; and they shall cleave unto thee. DEUTERONOMY 31 6 Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be AFRAID of them: for the LORD thy God, he it is that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee. 9 And Moses wrote this law, and delivered it unto the PRIESTS the sons of Levi, which bare the ark of the covenant of the LORD, and unto all the elders of Israel. JOSHUA 1 9 Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not AFRAID, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest. JOSHUA 3 3 And they commanded the people, saying, When ye see the ark of the covenant of the LORD your God, and the PRIESTS the Levites bearing it, then ye shall remove from your place, and go after it. 6 And Joshua spake unto the PRIESTS, saying, Take up the ark of the covenant, and pass over before the people. And they took up the ark of the covenant, and went before the people. 8 And thou shalt command the PRIESTS that bear the ark of the covenant, saying, When ye are come to the brink of the water of Jordan, ye shall stand still in Jordan. 13 And it shall come to pass, as soon as the soles of the feet of the PRIESTS that bear the ark of the LORD, the LORD of all the earth, shall rest in the waters of Jordan, that the waters of Jordan shall be cut off from the waters that come down from above; and they shall stand upon an heap. 14 And it came to pass, when the people removed from their tents, to pass over Jordan, and the PRIESTS bearing the ark of the covenant before the people; 15 And as they that bare the ark were come unto Jordan, and the feet of the PRIESTS that bare the ark were dipped in the brim of the water, (for Jordan overfloweth all his banks all the time of harvest,) 17 And the PRIESTS that bare the ark of the covenant of the LORD stood firm on dry ground in the midst of Jordan, and all the Israelites passed over on dry ground, until all the people were passed clean over Jordan. JOSHUA 4 3 And command ye them, saying, Take you hence out of the midst of Jordan, out of the place where the PRIESTS' feet stood firm, twelve stones, and ye shall carry them over with you, and leave them in the lodging place, where ye shall lodge this night. 9 And Joshua set up twelve stones in the midst of Jordan, in the place where the feet of the PRIESTS which bare the ark of the covenant stood: and they are there unto this day. 10 For the PRIESTS which bare the ark stood in the midst of Jordan, until everything was finished that the LORD commanded Joshua to speak unto the people, according to all that Moses commanded Joshua: and the people hasted and passed over. 11 And it came to pass, when all the people were clean passed over, that the ark of the LORD passed over, and the PRIESTS, in the presence of the people. 16 Command the PRIESTS that bear the ark of the testimony, that they come up out of Jordan. 17 Joshua therefore commanded the PRIESTS, saying, Come ye up out of Jordan. 18 And it came to pass, when the PRIESTS that bare the ark of the covenant of the LORD were come up out of the midst of Jordan, and the soles of the PRIESTS' feet were lifted up unto the dry land, that the waters of Jordan returned unto their place, and flowed over all his banks, as they did before. JOSHUA 6 4 And seven PRIESTS shall bear before the ark seven trumpets of rams' horns: and the seventh day ye shall compass the city seven times, and the PRIESTS shall blow with the trumpets. 6 And Joshua the son of Nun called the PRIESTS, and said unto them, Take up the ark of the covenant, and let seven PRIESTS bear seven trumpets of rams' horns before the ark of the LORD. 8 And it came to pass, when Joshua had spoken unto the people, that the seven PRIESTS bearing the seven trumpets of rams' horns passed on before the LORD, and blew with the trumpets: and the ark of the covenant of the LORD followed them. 9 And the armed men went before the PRIESTS that blew with the trumpets, and the rereward came after the ark, the PRIESTS going on, and blowing with the trumpets. 12 And Joshua rose early in the morning, and the PRIESTS took up the ark of the LORD. 13 And seven PRIESTS bearing seven trumpets of rams' horns before the ark of the LORD went on continually, and blew with the trumpets: and the armed men went before them; but the rereward came after the ark of the LORD, the PRIESTS going on, and blowing with the trumpets. 16 And it came to pass at the seventh time, when the PRIESTS blew with the trumpets, Joshua said unto the people, Shout; for the LORD hath given you the city. 20 So the people shouted when the PRIESTS blew with the trumpets: and it came to pass, when the people heard the sound of the trumpet, and the people shouted with a great shout, that the wall fell down flat, so that the people went up into the city, every man straight before him, and they took the city. JOSHUA 8 33 And all Israel, and their elders, and officers, and their judges, stood on this side the ark and on that side before the PRIESTS the Levites, which bare the ark of the covenant of the LORD, as well the stranger, as he that was born among them; half of them over against mount Gerizim, and half of them over against mount Ebal; as Moses the servant of the LORD had commanded before, that they should bless the people of Israel. JOSHUA 9 24 And they answered Joshua, and said, Because it was certainly told thy servants, how that the LORD thy God commanded his servant Moses to give you all the land, and to destroy all the inhabitants of the land from before you, therefore we were sore AFRAID of our lives because of you, and have done this thing. JOSHUA 11 6 And the LORD said unto Joshua, Be not AFRAID because of them: for to morrow about this time will I deliver them up all slain before Israel: thou shalt hough their horses, and burn their chariots with fire. JOSHUA 21 19 All the cities of the children of Aaron, the PRIESTS, were thirteen cities with their suburbs. JUDGES 7 3 Now therefore go to, proclaim in the ears of the people, saying, Whosoever is fearful and AFRAID, let him return and depart early from mount Gilead. And there returned of the people twenty and two thousand; and there remained ten thousand. JUDGES 18 30 And the children of Dan set up the graven image: and Jonathan, the son of Gershom, the son of Manasseh, he and his sons were PRIESTS to the tribe of Dan until the day of the captivity of the land. RUTH 3 8 And it came to pass at midnight, that the man was AFRAID, and turned himself: and, behold, a woman lay at his feet. 1 SAMUEL 1 3 And this man went up out of his city yearly to worship and to sacrifice unto the LORD of hosts in Shiloh. And the two sons of Eli, Hophni and Phinehas, the PRIESTS of the LORD, were there. 1 SAMUEL 4 7 And the Philistines were AFRAID, for they said, God is come into the camp. And they said, Woe unto us! for there hath not been such a thing heretofore. 1 SAMUEL 5 5 Therefore neither the PRIESTS of Dagon, nor any that come into Dagon's house, tread on the threshold of Dagon in Ashdod unto this day. 1 SAMUEL 6 2 And the Philistines called for the PRIESTS and the diviners, saying, What shall we do to the ark of the LORD? tell us wherewith we shall send it to his place. 1 SAMUEL 7 7 And when the Philistines heard that the children of Israel were gathered together to Mizpeh, the lords of the Philistines went up against Israel. And when the children of Israel heard it, they were AFRAID of the Philistines. 1 SAMUEL 17 11 When Saul and all Israel heard those words of the Philistine, they were dismayed, and greatly AFRAID. 24 And all the men of Israel, when they saw the man, fled from him, and were sore AFRAID. 1 SAMUEL 18 12 And Saul was AFRAID of David, because the LORD was with him, and was departed from Saul. 15 Wherefore when Saul saw that he behaved himself very wisely, he was AFRAID of him. 29 And Saul was yet the more AFRAID of David; and Saul became David's enemy continually. 1 SAMUEL 21 1 Then came David to Nob to Ahimelech the priest: and Ahimelech was AFRAID at the meeting of David, and said unto him, Why art thou alone, and no man with thee? 12 And David laid up these words in his heart, and was sore AFRAID of Achish the king of Gath. --MORE-- |
