1 SAMUEL 6 2 And the Philistines called for the PRIESTS and the diviners, saying, What shall we do to the ark of the LORD? tell us wherewith we shall send it to his place. 1 SAMUEL 7 7 And when the Philistines heard that the children of Israel were gathered together to Mizpeh, the lords of the Philistines went up against Israel. And when the children of Israel heard it, they were AFRAID of the Philistines. 1 SAMUEL 17 11 When Saul and all Israel heard those words of the Philistine, they were dismayed, and greatly AFRAID. 24 And all the men of Israel, when they saw the man, fled from him, and were sore AFRAID. 1 SAMUEL 18 12 And Saul was AFRAID of David, because the LORD was with him, and was departed from Saul. 15 Wherefore when Saul saw that he behaved himself very wisely, he was AFRAID of him. 29 And Saul was yet the more AFRAID of David; and Saul became David's enemy continually. 1 SAMUEL 21 1 Then came David to Nob to Ahimelech the priest: and Ahimelech was AFRAID at the meeting of David, and said unto him, Why art thou alone, and no man with thee? 12 And David laid up these words in his heart, and was sore AFRAID of Achish the king of Gath. 1 SAMUEL 22 11 Then the king sent to call Ahimelech the priest, the son of Ahitub, and all his father's house, the PRIESTS that were in Nob: and they came all of them to the king. 17 And the king said unto the footmen that stood about him, Turn, and slay the PRIESTS of the LORD: because their hand also is with David, and because they knew when he fled, and did not shew it to me. But the servants of the king would not put forth their hand to fall upon the PRIESTS of the LORD. 18 And the king said to Doeg, Turn thou, and fall upon the PRIESTS. And Doeg the Edomite turned, and he fell upon the PRIESTS, and slew on that day fourscore and five persons that did wear a linen ephod. 19 And Nob, the city of the PRIESTS, smote he with the edge of the sword, both men and women, children and sucklings, and oxen, and asses, and sheep, with the edge of the sword. 21 And Abiathar shewed David that Saul had slain the LORD's PRIESTS. 1 SAMUEL 23 3 And David's men said unto him, Behold, we be AFRAID here in Judah: how much more then if we come to Keilah against the armies of the Philistines? 1 SAMUEL 28 5 And when Saul saw the host of the Philistines, he was AFRAID, and his heart greatly trembled. 13 And the king said unto her, Be not AFRAID: for what sawest thou? And the woman said unto Saul, I saw gods ascending out of the earth. 20 Then Saul fell straightway all along on the earth, and was sore AFRAID, because of the words of Samuel: and there was no strength in him; for he had eaten no bread all the day, nor all the night. 1 SAMUEL 31 4 Then said Saul unto his armourbearer, Draw thy sword, and thrust me through therewith; lest these uncircumcised come and thrust me through, and abuse me. But his armourbearer would not; for he was sore AFRAID. Therefore Saul took a sword, and fell upon it. 2 SAMUEL 1 14 And David said unto him, How wast thou not AFRAID to stretch forth thine hand to destroy the LORD's anointed? 2 SAMUEL 6 9 And David was AFRAID of the LORD that day, and said, How shall the ark of the LORD come to me? 2 SAMUEL 8 17 And Zadok the son of Ahitub, and Ahimelech the son of Abiathar, were the PRIESTS; and Seraiah was the scribe; 2 SAMUEL 14 15 Now therefore that I am come to speak of this thing unto my lord the king, it is because the people have made me AFRAID: and thy handmaid said, I will now speak unto the king; it may be that the king will perform the request of his handmaid. 2 SAMUEL 15 35 And hast thou not there with thee Zadok and Abiathar the PRIESTS? therefore it shall be, that what thing soever thou shalt hear out of the king's house, thou shalt tell it to Zadok and Abiathar the PRIESTS. 2 SAMUEL 17 2 And I will come upon him while he is weary and weak handed, and will make him AFRAID: and all the people that are with him shall flee; and I will smite the king only: 15 Then said Hushai unto Zadok and to Abiathar the PRIESTS, Thus and thus did Ahithophel counsel Absalom and the elders of Israel; and thus and thus have I counselled. 2 SAMUEL 19 11 And king David sent to Zadok and to Abiathar the PRIESTS, saying, Speak unto the elders of Judah, saying, Why are ye the last to bring the king back to his house? seeing the speech of all Israel is come to the king, even to his house. 2 SAMUEL 20 25 And Sheva was scribe: and Zadok and Abiathar were the PRIESTS: 2 SAMUEL 22 5 When the waves of death compassed me, the floods of ungodly men made me AFRAID; 46 Strangers shall fade away, and they shall be AFRAID out of their close places. 1 KINGS 1 49 And all the guests that were with Adonijah were AFRAID, and rose up, and went every man his way. 1 KINGS 4 4 And Benaiah the son of Jehoiada was over the host: and Zadok and Abiathar were the PRIESTS: 1 KINGS 7 15 For he cast two pillars of brass, of eighteen cubits high APIECE: and a line of twelve cubits did compass either of them about. 1 KINGS 8 3 And all the elders of Israel came, and the PRIESTS took up the ark. 4 And they brought up the ark of the LORD, and the tabernacle of the congregation, and all the holy vessels that were in the tabernacle, even those did the PRIESTS and the Levites bring up. 6 And the PRIESTS brought in the ark of the covenant of the LORD unto his place, into the oracle of the house, to the most holy place, even under the wings of the cherubims. 10 And it came to pass, when the PRIESTS were come out of the holy place, that the cloud filled the house of the LORD, 11 So that the PRIESTS could not stand to minister because of the cloud: for the glory of the LORD had filled the house of the LORD. 1 KINGS 12 31 And he made an house of high places, and made PRIESTS of the lowest of the people, which were not of the sons of Levi. 32 And Jeroboam ordained a feast in the eighth month, on the fifteenth day of the month, like unto the feast that is in Judah, and he offered upon the altar. So did he in Bethel, sacrificing unto the calves that he had made: and he placed in Bethel the PRIESTS of the high places which he had made. 1 KINGS 13 2 And he cried against the altar in the word of the LORD, and said, O altar, altar, thus saith the LORD; Behold, a child shall be born unto the house of David, Josiah by name; and upon thee shall he offer the PRIESTS of the high places that burn incense upon thee, and men's bones shall be burnt upon thee. 33 After this thing Jeroboam returned not from his evil way, but made again of the lowest of the people PRIESTS of the high places: whosoever would, he consecrated him, and he became one of the PRIESTS of the high places. 2 KINGS 1 15 And the angel of the LORD said unto Elijah, Go down with him: be not AFRAID of him. And he arose, and went down with him unto the king. 2 KINGS 10 4 But they were exceedingly AFRAID, and said, Behold, two kings stood not before him: how then shall we stand? 11 So Jehu slew all that remained of the house of Ahab in Jezreel, and all his great men, and his kinsfolks, and his PRIESTS, until he left him none remaining. 19 Now therefore call unto me all the prophets of Baal, all his servants, and all his PRIESTS; let none be wanting: for I have a great sacrifice to do to Baal; whosoever shall be wanting, he shall not live. But Jehu did it in subtilty, to the intent that he might destroy the worshippers of Baal. 2 KINGS 12 4 And Jehoash said to the PRIESTS, All the money of the dedicated things that is brought into the house of the LORD, even the money of every one that passeth the account, the money that every man is set at, and all the money that cometh into any man's heart to bring into the house of the LORD, 5 Let the PRIESTS take it to them, every man of his acquaintance: and let them repair the breaches of the house, wheresoever any breach shall be found. 6 But it was so, that in the three and twentieth year of king Jehoash the PRIESTS had not repaired the breaches of the house. 7 Then king Jehoash called for Jehoiada the priest, and the other PRIESTS, and said unto them, Why repair ye not the breaches of the house? now therefore receive no more money of your acquaintance, but deliver it for the breaches of the house. 8 And the PRIESTS consented to receive no more money of the people, neither to repair the breaches of the house. 9 But Jehoiada the priest took a chest, and bored a hole in the lid of it, and set it beside the altar, on the right side as one cometh into the house of the LORD: and the PRIESTS that kept the door put therein all the money that was brought into the house of the LORD. 16 The trespass money and sin money was not brought into the house of the LORD: it was the PRIESTS'. --MORE-- |
