2 KINGS 19 2 And he sent Eliakim, which was over the household, and Shebna the scribe, and the elders of the PRIESTS, covered with sackcloth, to Isaiah the prophet the son of Amoz. 6 And Isaiah said unto them, Thus shall ye say to your master, Thus saith the LORD, Be not AFRAID of the words which thou hast heard, with which the servants of the king of Assyria have blasphemed me. 2 KINGS 23 2 And the king went up into the house of the LORD, and all the men of Judah and all the inhabitants of Jerusalem with him, and the PRIESTS, and the prophets, and all the people, both small and great: and he read in their ears all the words of the book of the covenant which was found in the house of the LORD. 4 And the king commanded Hilkiah the high priest, and the PRIESTS of the second order, and the keepers of the door, to bring forth out of the temple of the LORD all the vessels that were made for Baal, and for the grove, and for all the host of heaven: and he burned them without Jerusalem in the fields of Kidron, and carried the ashes of them unto Bethel. 5 And he put down the idolatrous PRIESTS, whom the kings of Judah had ordained to burn incense in the high places in the cities of Judah, and in the places round about Jerusalem; them also that burned incense unto Baal, to the sun, and to the moon, and to the planets, and to all the host of heaven. 8 And he brought all the PRIESTS out of the cities of Judah, and defiled the high places where the PRIESTS had burned incense, from Geba to Beersheba, and brake down the high places of the gates that were in the entering in of the gate of Joshua the governor of the city, which were on a man's left hand at the gate of the city. 9 Nevertheless the PRIESTS of the high places came not up to the altar of the LORD in Jerusalem, but they did eat of the unleavened bread among their brethren. 20 And he slew all the PRIESTS of the high places that were there upon the altars, and burned men's bones upon them, and returned to Jerusalem. 2 KINGS 25 26 And all the people, both small and great, and the captains of the armies, arose, and came to Egypt: for they were AFRAID of the Chaldees. 1 CHRONICLES 9 2 Now the first inhabitants that dwelt in their possessions in their cities were, the Israelites, the PRIESTS, Levites, and the Nethinims. 10 And of the PRIESTS; Jedaiah, and Jehoiarib, and Jachin, 30 And some of the sons of the PRIESTS made the ointment of the spices. 1 CHRONICLES 10 4 Then said Saul to his armourbearer, Draw thy sword, and thrust me through therewith; lest these uncircumcised come and abuse me. But his armourbearer would not; for he was sore AFRAID. So Saul took a sword, and fell upon it. 1 CHRONICLES 13 2 And David said unto all the congregation of Israel, If it seem good unto you, and that it be of the LORD our God, let us send abroad unto our brethren every where, that are left in all the land of Israel, and with them also to the PRIESTS and Levites which are in their cities and suburbs, that they may gather themselves unto us: 12 And David was AFRAID of God that day, saying, How shall I bring the ark of God home to me? 1 CHRONICLES 15 11 And David called for Zadok and Abiathar the PRIESTS, and for the Levites, for Uriel, Asaiah, and Joel, Shemaiah, and Eliel, and Amminadab, 14 So the PRIESTS and the Levites sanctified themselves to bring up the ark of the LORD God of Israel. 24 And Shebaniah, and Jehoshaphat, and Nethaneel, and Amasai, and Zechariah, and Benaiah, and Eliezer, the PRIESTS, did blow with the trumpets before the ark of God: and Obededom and Jehiah were doorkeepers for the ark. 1 CHRONICLES 16 6 Benaiah also and Jahaziel the PRIESTS with trumpets continually before the ark of the covenant of God. 39 And Zadok the priest, and his brethren the PRIESTS, before the tabernacle of the LORD in the high place that was at Gibeon, 1 CHRONICLES 18 16 And Zadok the son of Ahitub, and Abimelech the son of Abiathar, were the PRIESTS; and Shavsha was scribe; 1 CHRONICLES 21 30 But David could not go before it to enquire of God: for he was AFRAID because of the sword of the angel of the LORD. 1 CHRONICLES 23 2 And he gathered together all the princes of Israel, with the PRIESTS and the Levites. 1 CHRONICLES 24 6 And Shemaiah the son of Nethaneel the scribe, one of the Levites, wrote them before the king, and the princes, and Zadok the priest, and Ahimelech the son of Abiathar, and before the chief of the fathers of the PRIESTS and Levites: one principal household being taken for Eleazar, and one taken for Ithamar. 31 These likewise cast lots over against their brethren the sons of Aaron in the presence of David the king, and Zadok, and Ahimelech, and the chief of the fathers of the PRIESTS and Levites, even the principal fathers over against their younger brethren. 1 CHRONICLES 28 13 Also for the courses of the PRIESTS and the Levites, and for all the work of the service of the house of the LORD, and for all the vessels of service in the house of the LORD. 21 And, behold, the courses of the PRIESTS and the Levites, even they shall be with thee for all the service of the house of God: and there shall be with thee for all manner of workmanship every willing skilful man, for any manner of service: also the princes and all the people will be wholly at thy commandment. 2 CHRONICLES 4 6 He made also ten lavers, and put five on the right hand, and five on the left, to wash in them: such things as they offered for the burnt offering they washed in them; but the sea was for the PRIESTS to wash in. 9 Furthermore he made the court of the PRIESTS, and the great court, and doors for the court, and overlaid the doors of them with brass. 2 CHRONICLES 5 5 And they brought up the ark, and the tabernacle of the congregation, and all the holy vessels that were in the tabernacle, these did the PRIESTS and the Levites bring up. 7 And the PRIESTS brought in the ark of the covenant of the LORD unto his place, to the oracle of the house, into the most holy place, even under the wings of the cherubims: 11 And it came to pass, when the PRIESTS were come out of the holy place: (for all the PRIESTS that were present were sanctified, and did not then wait by course: 12 Also the Levites which were the singers, all of them of Asaph, of Heman, of Jeduthun, with their sons and their brethren, being arrayed in white linen, having cymbals and psalteries and harps, stood at the east end of the altar, and with them an hundred and twenty PRIESTS sounding with trumpets:) 14 So that the PRIESTS could not stand to minister by reason of the cloud: for the glory of the LORD had filled the house of God. 2 CHRONICLES 6 41 Now therefore arise, O LORD God, into thy resting place, thou, and the ark of thy strength: let thy PRIESTS, O LORD God, be clothed with salvation, and let thy saints rejoice in goodness. 2 CHRONICLES 7 2 And the PRIESTS could not enter into the house of the LORD, because the glory of the LORD had filled the LORD's house. 6 And the PRIESTS waited on their offices: the Levites also with instruments of musick of the LORD, which David the king had made to praise the LORD, because his mercy endureth for ever, when David praised by their ministry; and the PRIESTS sounded trumpets before them, and all Israel stood. 2 CHRONICLES 8 14 And he appointed, according to the order of David his father, the courses of the PRIESTS to their service, and the Levites to their charges, to praise and minister before the PRIESTS, as the duty of every day required: the porters also by their courses at every gate: for so had David the man of God commanded. 15 And they departed not from the commandment of the king unto the PRIESTS and Levites concerning any matter, or concerning the treasures. 2 CHRONICLES 11 13 And the PRIESTS and the Levites that were in all Israel resorted to him out of all their coasts. 15 And he ordained him PRIESTS for the high places, and for the devils, and for the calves which he had made. 2 CHRONICLES 13 9 Have ye not cast out the PRIESTS of the LORD, the sons of Aaron, and the Levites, and have made you PRIESTS after the manner of the nations of other lands? so that whosoever cometh to consecrate himself with a young bullock and seven rams, the same may be a priest of them that are no gods. 10 But as for us, the LORD is our God, and we have not forsaken him; and the PRIESTS, which minister unto the LORD, are the sons of Aaron, and the Levites wait upon their business: 12 And, behold, God himself is with us for our captain, and his PRIESTS with sounding trumpets to cry alarm against you. O children of Israel, fight ye not against the LORD God of your fathers; for ye shall not prosper. 14 And when Judah looked back, behold, the battle was before and behind: and they cried unto the LORD, and the PRIESTS sounded with the trumpets. 2 CHRONICLES 17 8 And with them he sent Levites, even Shemaiah, and Nethaniah, and Zebadiah, and Asahel, and Shemiramoth, and Jehonathan, and Adonijah, and Tobijah, and Tobadonijah, Levites; and with them Elishama and Jehoram, PRIESTS. 2 CHRONICLES 19 8 Moreover in Jerusalem did Jehoshaphat set of the Levites, and of the PRIESTS, and of the chief of the fathers of Israel, for the judgment of the LORD, and for controversies, when they returned to Jerusalem. 2 CHRONICLES 20 15 And he said, Hearken ye, all Judah, and ye inhabitants of Jerusalem, and thou king Jehoshaphat, Thus saith the LORD unto you, Be not AFRAID nor dismayed by reason of this great multitude; for the battle is not yours, but God's. 2 CHRONICLES 23 4 This is the thing that ye shall do; A third part of you entering on the sabbath, of the PRIESTS and of the Levites, shall be porters of the doors; 6 But let none come into the house of the LORD, save the PRIESTS, and they that minister of the Levites; they shall go in, for they are holy: but all the people shall keep the watch of the LORD. 18 Also Jehoiada appointed the offices of the house of the LORD by the hand of the PRIESTS the Levites, whom David had distributed in the house of the LORD, to offer the burnt offerings of the LORD, as it is written in the law of Moses, with rejoicing and with singing, as it was ordained by David. --MORE-- |
