ISAIAH 61 10 I will greatly rejoice in the LORD, my soul shall be joyful in my God; for he hath clothed me with the garments of salvation, he hath covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decketh himself with ornaments, and as a bride ADORNETH herself with her jewels. JEREMIAH 1 8 Be not AFRAID of their faces: for I am with thee to deliver thee, saith the LORD. JEREMIAH 2 12 Be astonished, O ye heavens, at this, and be horribly AFRAID, be ye very desolate, saith the LORD. JEREMIAH 3 2 Lift up thine eyes unto the high PLACES, and see where thou hast not been lien with. In the ways hast thou sat for them, as the Arabian in the wilderness; and thou hast polluted the land with thy whoredoms and with thy wickedness. 21 A voice was heard upon the high PLACES, weeping and supplications of the children of Israel: for they have perverted their way, and they have forgotten the LORD their God. JEREMIAH 4 11 At that time shall it be said to this people and to Jerusalem, A dry wind of the high PLACES in the wilderness toward the daughter of my people, not to fan, nor to cleanse, 12 Even a full wind from those PLACES shall come unto me: now also will I give sentence against them. JEREMIAH 5 1 Run ye to and fro through the streets of Jerusalem, and see now, and know, and seek in the broad PLACES thereof, if ye can find a man, if there be any that executeth judgment, that seeketh the truth; and I will pardon it. JEREMIAH 7 29 Cut off thine hair, O Jerusalem, and cast it away, and take up a lamentation on high PLACES; for the LORD hath rejected and forsaken the generation of his wrath. 31 And they have built the high PLACES of Tophet, which is in the valley of the son of Hinnom, to burn their sons and their daughters in the fire; which I commanded them not, neither came it into my heart. JEREMIAH 8 3 And death shall be chosen rather than life by all the residue of them that remain of this evil family, which remain in all the PLACES whither I have driven them, saith the LORD of hosts. JEREMIAH 10 5 They are upright as the palm tree, but speak not: they must needs be borne, because they cannot go. Be not AFRAID of them; for they cannot do evil, neither also is it in them to do good. JEREMIAH 12 12 The spoilers are come upon all high PLACES through the wilderness: for the sword of the LORD shall devour from the one end of the land even to the other end of the land: no flesh shall have peace. JEREMIAH 13 17 But if ye will not hear it, my soul shall weep in secret PLACES for your pride; and mine eye shall weep sore, and run down with tears, because the LORD's flock is carried away captive. JEREMIAH 14 6 And the wild asses did stand in the high PLACES, they snuffed up the wind like dragons; their eyes did fail, because there was no grass. JEREMIAH 17 3 O my mountain in the field, I will give thy substance and all thy treasures to the spoil, and thy high PLACES for sin, throughout all thy borders. 6 For he shall be like the heath in the desert, and shall not see when good cometh; but shall inhabit the parched PLACES in the wilderness, in a salt land and not inhabited. 26 And they shall come from the cities of Judah, and from the PLACES about Jerusalem, and from the land of Benjamin, and from the plain, and from the mountains, and from the south, bringing burnt offerings, and sacrifices, and meat offerings, and incense, and bringing sacrifices of praise, unto the house of the LORD. JEREMIAH 19 5 They have built also the high PLACES of Baal, to burn their sons with fire for burnt offerings unto Baal, which I commanded not, nor spake it, neither came it into my mind: JEREMIAH 23 10 For the land is full of adulterers; for because of swearing the land mourneth; the pleasant PLACES of the wilderness are dried up, and their course is evil, and their force is not right. 24 Can any hide himself in secret PLACES that I shall not see him? saith the LORD. Do not I fill heaven and earth? saith the LORD. JEREMIAH 24 9 And I will deliver them to be removed into all the kingdoms of the earth for their hurt, to be a reproach and a proverb, a taunt and a curse, in all PLACES whither I shall drive them. JEREMIAH 26 18 Micah the Morasthite prophesied in the days of Hezekiah king of Judah, and spake to all the people of Judah, saying, Thus saith the LORD of hosts; Zion shall be plowed like a field, and Jerusalem shall become heaps, and the mountain of the house as the high PLACES of a forest. 21 And when Jehoiakim the king, with all his mighty men, and all the princes, heard his words, the king sought to put him to death: but when Urijah heard it, he was AFRAID, and fled, and went into Egypt; JEREMIAH 29 14 And I will be found of you, saith the LORD: and I will turn away your captivity, and I will gather you from all the nations, and from all the PLACES whither I have driven you, saith the LORD; and I will bring you again into the place whence I caused you to be carried away captive. JEREMIAH 30 10 Therefore fear thou not, O my servant Jacob, saith the LORD; neither be dismayed, O Israel: for, lo, I will save thee from afar, and thy seed from the land of their captivity; and Jacob shall return, and shall be in rest, and be quiet, and none shall make him AFRAID. JEREMIAH 32 35 And they built the high PLACES of Baal, which are in the valley of the son of Hinnom, to cause their sons and their daughters to pass through the fire unto Molech; which I commanded them not, neither came it into my mind, that they should do this abomination, to cause Judah to sin. 44 Men shall buy fields for money, and subscribe evidences, and seal them, and take witnesses in the land of Benjamin, and in the PLACES about Jerusalem, and in the cities of Judah, and in the cities of the mountains, and in the cities of the valley, and in the cities of the south: for I will cause their captivity to return, saith the LORD. JEREMIAH 33 13 In the cities of the mountains, in the cities of the vale, and in the cities of the south, and in the land of Benjamin, and in the PLACES about Jerusalem, and in the cities of Judah, shall the flocks pass again under the hands of him that telleth them, saith the LORD. JEREMIAH 36 16 Now it came to pass, when they had heard all the words, they were AFRAID both one and other, and said unto Baruch, We will surely tell the king of all these words. 24 Yet they were not AFRAID, nor rent their garments, neither the king, nor any of his servants that heard all these words. JEREMIAH 38 19 And Zedekiah the king said unto Jeremiah, I am AFRAID of the Jews that are fallen to the Chaldeans, lest they deliver me into their hand, and they mock me. JEREMIAH 39 17 But I will deliver thee in that day, saith the LORD: and thou shalt not be given into the hand of the men of whom thou art AFRAID. JEREMIAH 40 12 Even all the Jews returned out of all PLACES whither they were driven, and came to the land of Judah, to Gedaliah, unto Mizpah, and gathered wine and summer fruits very much. JEREMIAH 41 18 Because of the Chaldeans: for they were AFRAID of them, because Ishmael the son of Nethaniah had slain Gedaliah the son of Ahikam, whom the king of Babylon made governor in the land. JEREMIAH 42 11 Be not AFRAID of the king of Babylon, of whom ye are AFRAID; be not AFRAID of him, saith the LORD: for I am with you to save you, and to deliver you from his hand. 16 Then it shall come to pass, that the sword, which ye feared, shall overtake you there in the land of Egypt, and the famine, whereof ye were AFRAID, shall follow close after you there in Egypt; and there ye shall die. JEREMIAH 45 5 And seekest thou great things for thyself? seek them not: for, behold, I will bring evil upon all flesh, saith the LORD: but thy life will I give unto thee for a prey in all PLACES whither thou goest. JEREMIAH 46 27 But fear not thou, O my servant Jacob, and be not dismayed, O Israel: for, behold, I will save thee from afar off, and thy seed from the land of their captivity; and Jacob shall return, and be in rest and at ease, and none shall make him AFRAID. JEREMIAH 48 35 Moreover I will cause to cease in Moab, saith the LORD, him that offereth in the high PLACES, and him that burneth incense to his gods. JEREMIAH 49 10 But I have made Esau bare, I have uncovered his secret PLACES, and he shall not be able to hide himself: his seed is spoiled, and his brethren, and his neighbours, and he is not. LAMENTATIONS 2 6 And he hath violently taken away his tabernacle, as if it were of a garden: he hath destroyed his PLACES of the assembly: the LORD hath caused the solemn feasts and sabbaths to be forgotten in Zion, and hath despised in the indignation of his anger the king and the priest. LAMENTATIONS 3 6 He hath set me in dark PLACES, as they that be dead of old. 10 He was unto me as a bear lying in wait, and as a lion in secret PLACES. EZEKIEL 2 6 And thou, son of man, be not AFRAID of them, neither be AFRAID of their words, though briers and thorns be with thee, and thou dost dwell among scorpions: be not AFRAID of their words, nor be dismayed at their looks, though they be a rebellious house. EZEKIEL 6 3 And say, Ye mountains of Israel, hear the word of the Lord GOD; Thus saith the Lord GOD to the mountains, and to the hills, to the rivers, and to the valleys; Behold, I, even I, will bring a sword upon you, and I will destroy your high PLACES. 6 In all your dwellingplaces the cities shall be laid waste, and the high PLACES shall be desolate; that your altars may be laid waste and made desolate, and your idols may be broken and cease, and your images may be cut down, and your works may be abolished. EZEKIEL 7 24 Wherefore I will bring the worst of the heathen, and they shall possess their houses: I will also make the pomp of the strong to cease; and their holy PLACES shall be defiled. EZEKIEL 16 16 And of thy garments thou didst take, and deckedst thy high PLACES with divers colours, and playedst the harlot thereupon: the like things shall not come, neither shall it be so. 39 And I will also give thee into their hand, and they shall throw down thine eminent place, and shall break down thy high PLACES: they shall strip thee also of thy clothes, and shall take thy fair jewels, and leave thee naked and bare. --MORE-- |
