RUTH 3 8 And it came to pass at midnight, that the man was AFRAID, and turned himself: and, behold, a woman lay at his feet. RUTH 4 5 Then said Boaz, What day thou buyest the field of the hand of Naomi, thou must buy it also of Ruth the Moabitess, the wife of the dead, to raise up the NAME of the dead upon his inheritance. 10 Moreover Ruth the Moabitess, the wife of Mahlon, have I purchased to be my wife, to raise up the NAME of the dead upon his inheritance, that the NAME of the dead be not cut off from among his brethren, and from the gate of his place: ye are witnesses this day. 14 And the women said unto Naomi, Blessed be the LORD, which hath not left thee this day without a kinsman, that his NAME may be famous in Israel. 17 And the women her neighbours gave it a NAME, saying, There is a son born to Naomi; and they called his NAME Obed: he is the father of Jesse, the father of David. 1 SAMUEL 1 1 Now there was a certain man of Ramathaimzophim, of mount Ephraim, and his NAME was Elkanah, the son of Jeroham, the son of Elihu, the son of Tohu, the son of Zuph, an Ephrathite: 2 And he had two wives; the NAME of the one was Hannah, and the NAME of the other Peninnah: and Peninnah had children, but Hannah had no children. 20 Wherefore it came to pass, when the time was come about after Hannah had conceived, that she bare a son, and called his NAME Samuel, saying, Because I have asked him of the LORD. 1 SAMUEL 4 7 And the Philistines were AFRAID, for they said, God is come into the camp. And they said, Woe unto us! for there hath not been such a thing heretofore. 1 SAMUEL 7 7 And when the Philistines heard that the children of Israel were gathered together to Mizpeh, the lords of the Philistines went up against Israel. And when the children of Israel heard it, they were AFRAID of the Philistines. 12 Then Samuel took a stone, and set it between Mizpeh and Shen, and called the NAME of it Ebenezer, saying, Hitherto hath the LORD helped us. 1 SAMUEL 8 2 Now the NAME of his firstborn was Joel; and the NAME of his second, Abiah: they were judges in Beersheba. 1 SAMUEL 9 1 Now there was a man of Benjamin, whose NAME was Kish, the son of Abiel, the son of Zeror, the son of Bechorath, the son of Aphiah, a Benjamite, a mighty man of power. 2 And he had a son, whose NAME was Saul, a choice young man, and a goodly: and there was not among the children of Israel a goodlier person than he: from his shoulders and upward he was higher than any of the people. 1 SAMUEL 14 4 And between the passages, by which Jonathan sought to go over unto the Philistines' garrison, there was a sharp rock on the one side, and a sharp rock on the other side: and the NAME of the one was Bozez, and the NAME of the other Seneh. 49 Now the sons of Saul were Jonathan, and Ishui, and Melchishua: and the names of his two daughters were these; the NAME of the firstborn Merab, and the NAME of the younger Michal: 50 And the NAME of Saul's wife was Ahinoam, the daughter of Ahimaaz: and the NAME of the captain of his host was Abner, the son of Ner, Saul's uncle. 1 SAMUEL 16 3 And call Jesse to the sacrifice, and I will shew thee what thou shalt do: and thou shalt anoint unto me him whom I NAME unto thee. 1 SAMUEL 17 11 When Saul and all Israel heard those words of the Philistine, they were dismayed, and greatly AFRAID. 12 Now David was the son of that Ephrathite of Bethlehemjudah, whose NAME was Jesse; and he had eight sons: and the man went among men for an old man in the days of Saul. 23 And as he talked with them, behold, there came up the champion, the Philistine of Gath, Goliath by NAME, out of the armies of the Philistines, and spake according to the same words: and David heard them. 24 And all the men of Israel, when they saw the man, fled from him, and were sore AFRAID. 45 Then said David to the Philistine, Thou comest to me with a sword, and with a spear, and with a shield: but I come to thee in the NAME of the LORD of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom thou hast defied. 1 SAMUEL 18 12 And Saul was AFRAID of David, because the LORD was with him, and was departed from Saul. 15 Wherefore when Saul saw that he behaved himself very wisely, he was AFRAID of him. 29 And Saul was yet the more AFRAID of David; and Saul became David's enemy continually. 30 Then the princes of the Philistines went forth: and it came to pass, after they went forth, that David behaved himself more wisely than all the servants of Saul; so that his NAME was much set by. 1 SAMUEL 20 42 And Jonathan said to David, Go in peace, forasmuch as we have sworn both of us in the NAME of the LORD, saying, The LORD be between me and thee, and between my seed and thy seed for ever. And he arose and departed: and Jonathan went into the city. 1 SAMUEL 21 1 Then came David to Nob to Ahimelech the priest: and Ahimelech was AFRAID at the meeting of David, and said unto him, Why art thou alone, and no man with thee? 7 Now a certain man of the servants of Saul was there that day, detained before the LORD; and his NAME was Doeg, an Edomite, the chiefest of the herdmen that belonged to Saul. 12 And David laid up these words in his heart, and was sore AFRAID of Achish the king of Gath. 1 SAMUEL 23 3 And David's men said unto him, Behold, we be AFRAID here in Judah: how much more then if we come to Keilah against the armies of the Philistines? 1 SAMUEL 24 21 Swear now therefore unto me by the LORD, that thou wilt not cut off my seed after me, and that thou wilt not destroy my NAME out of my father's house. 1 SAMUEL 25 3 Now the NAME of the man was Nabal; and the NAME of his wife Abigail: and she was a woman of good understanding, and of a beautiful countenance: but the man was churlish and evil in his doings; and he was of the house of Caleb. 5 And David sent out ten young men, and David said unto the young men, Get you up to Carmel, and go to Nabal, and greet him in my NAME: 9 And when David's young men came, they spake to Nabal according to all those words in the NAME of David, and ceased. 25 Let not my lord, I pray thee, regard this man of Belial, even Nabal: for as his NAME is, so is he; Nabal is his NAME, and folly is with him: but I thine handmaid saw not the young men of my lord, whom thou didst send. 1 SAMUEL 28 5 And when Saul saw the host of the Philistines, he was AFRAID, and his heart greatly trembled. 8 And Saul disguised himself, and put on other raiment, and he went, and two men with him, and they came to the woman by night: and he said, I pray thee, divine unto me by the familiar spirit, and bring me him up, whom I shall NAME unto thee. 13 And the king said unto her, Be not AFRAID: for what sawest thou? And the woman said unto Saul, I saw gods ascending out of the earth. 20 Then Saul fell straightway all along on the earth, and was sore AFRAID, because of the words of Samuel: and there was no strength in him; for he had eaten no bread all the day, nor all the night. 1 SAMUEL 31 4 Then said Saul unto his armourbearer, Draw thy sword, and thrust me through therewith; lest these uncircumcised come and thrust me through, and abuse me. But his armourbearer would not; for he was sore AFRAID. Therefore Saul took a sword, and fell upon it. 2 SAMUEL 1 14 And David said unto him, How wast thou not AFRAID to stretch forth thine hand to destroy the LORD's anointed? 2 SAMUEL 3 7 And Saul had a concubine, whose NAME was Rizpah, the daughter of Aiah: and Ishbosheth said to Abner, Wherefore hast thou gone in unto my father's concubine? 2 SAMUEL 4 2 And Saul's son had two men that were captains of bands: the NAME of the one was Baanah, and the NAME of the other Rechab, the sons of Rimmon a Beerothite, of the children of Benjamin: (for Beeroth also was reckoned to Benjamin. 4 And Jonathan, Saul's son, had a son that was lame of his feet. He was five years old when the tidings came of Saul and Jonathan out of Jezreel, and his nurse took him up, and fled: and it came to pass, as she made haste to flee, that he fell, and became lame. And his NAME was Mephibosheth. 2 SAMUEL 5 20 And David came to Baalperazim, and David smote them there, and said, The LORD hath broken forth upon mine enemies before me, as the breach of waters. Therefore he called the NAME of that place Baalperazim. 2 SAMUEL 6 2 And David arose, and went with all the people that were with him from Baale of Judah, to bring up from thence the ark of God, whose NAME is called by the NAME of the LORD of hosts that dwelleth between the cherubims. 8 And David was displeased, because the LORD had made a breach upon Uzzah: and he called the NAME of the place Perezuzzah to this day. 9 And David was AFRAID of the LORD that day, and said, How shall the ark of the LORD come to me? 18 And as soon as David had made an end of offering burnt offerings and peace offerings, he blessed the people in the NAME of the LORD of hosts. --MORE-- |
