ISAIAH 56 5 Even unto them will I give in mine house and within my walls a place and a NAME better than of sons and of daughters: I will give them an everlasting NAME, that shall not be cut off. 6 Also the sons of the stranger, that join themselves to the LORD, to serve him, and to love the NAME of the LORD, to be his servants, every one that keepeth the sabbath from polluting it, and taketh hold of my covenant; ISAIAH 57 11 And of whom hast thou been AFRAID or feared, that thou hast lied, and hast not remembered me, nor laid it to thy heart? have not I held my peace even of old, and thou fearest me not? 15 For thus saith the high and lofty One that inhabiteth eternity, whose NAME is Holy; I dwell in the high and holy place, with him also that is of a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite ones. ISAIAH 59 19 So shall they fear the NAME of the LORD from the west, and his glory from the rising of the sun. When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the LORD shall lift up a standard against him. ISAIAH 60 9 Surely the isles shall wait for me, and the ships of Tarshish first, to bring thy sons from far, their silver and their gold with them, unto the NAME of the LORD thy God, and to the Holy One of Israel, because he hath glorified thee. ISAIAH 61 10 I will greatly rejoice in the LORD, my soul shall be joyful in my God; for he hath clothed me with the garments of salvation, he hath covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decketh himself with ornaments, and as a bride ADORNETH herself with her jewels. ISAIAH 62 2 And the Gentiles shall see thy righteousness, and all kings thy glory: and thou shalt be called by a new NAME, which the mouth of the LORD shall NAME. ISAIAH 63 12 That led them by the right hand of Moses with his glorious arm, dividing the water before them, to make himself an everlasting NAME? 14 As a beast goeth down into the valley, the Spirit of the LORD caused him to rest: so didst thou lead thy people, to make thyself a glorious NAME. 16 Doubtless thou art our father, though Abraham be ignorant of us, and Israel acknowledge us not: thou, O LORD, art our father, our redeemer; thy NAME is from everlasting. 19 We are thine: thou never barest rule over them; they were not called by thy NAME. ISAIAH 64 2 As when the melting fire burneth, the fire causeth the waters to boil, to make thy NAME known to thine adversaries, that the nations may tremble at thy presence! 7 And there is none that calleth upon thy NAME, that stirreth up himself to take hold of thee: for thou hast hid thy face from us, and hast consumed us, because of our iniquities. ISAIAH 65 1 I am sought of them that asked not for me; I am found of them that sought me not: I said, Behold me, behold me, unto a nation that was not called by my NAME. 15 And ye shall leave your NAME for a curse unto my chosen: for the Lord GOD shall slay thee, and call his servants by another NAME: ISAIAH 66 5 Hear the word of the LORD, ye that tremble at his word; Your brethren that hated you, that cast you out for my NAME's sake, said, Let the LORD be glorified: but he shall appear to your joy, and they shall be ashamed. 22 For as the new heavens and the new earth, which I will make, shall remain before me, saith the LORD, so shall your seed and your NAME remain. JEREMIAH 1 8 Be not AFRAID of their faces: for I am with thee to deliver thee, saith the LORD. JEREMIAH 2 12 Be astonished, O ye heavens, at this, and be horribly AFRAID, be ye very desolate, saith the LORD. JEREMIAH 3 17 At that time they shall call Jerusalem the throne of the LORD; and all the nations shall be gathered unto it, to the NAME of the LORD, to Jerusalem: neither shall they walk any more after the imagination of their evil heart. JEREMIAH 7 10 And come and stand before me in this house, which is called by my NAME, and say, We are delivered to do all these abominations? 11 Is this house, which is called by my NAME, become a den of robbers in your eyes? Behold, even I have seen it, saith the LORD. 12 But go ye now unto my place which was in Shiloh, where I set my NAME at the first, and see what I did to it for the wickedness of my people Israel. 14 Therefore will I do unto this house, which is called by my NAME, wherein ye trust, and unto the place which I gave to you and to your fathers, as I have done to Shiloh. 30 For the children of Judah have done evil in my sight, saith the LORD: they have set their abominations in the house which is called by my NAME, to pollute it. JEREMIAH 10 5 They are upright as the palm tree, but speak not: they must needs be borne, because they cannot go. Be not AFRAID of them; for they cannot do evil, neither also is it in them to do good. 6 Forasmuch as there is none like unto thee, O LORD; thou art great, and thy NAME is great in might. 16 The portion of Jacob is not like them: for he is the former of all things; and Israel is the rod of his inheritance: The LORD of hosts is his NAME. 25 Pour out thy fury upon the heathen that know thee not, and upon the families that call not on thy NAME: for they have eaten up Jacob, and devoured him, and consumed him, and have made his habitation desolate. JEREMIAH 11 16 The LORD called thy NAME, A green olive tree, fair, and of goodly fruit: with the noise of a great tumult he hath kindled fire upon it, and the branches of it are broken. 19 But I was like a lamb or an ox that is brought to the slaughter; and I knew not that they had devised devices against me, saying, Let us destroy the tree with the fruit thereof, and let us cut him off from the land of the living, that his NAME may be no more remembered. 21 Therefore thus saith the LORD of the men of Anathoth, that seek thy life, saying, Prophesy not in the NAME of the LORD, that thou die not by our hand: JEREMIAH 12 16 And it shall come to pass, if they will diligently learn the ways of my people, to swear by my NAME, The LORD liveth; as they taught my people to swear by Baal; then shall they be built in the midst of my people. JEREMIAH 13 11 For as the girdle cleaveth to the loins of a man, so have I caused to cleave unto me the whole house of Israel and the whole house of Judah, saith the LORD; that they might be unto me for a people, and for a NAME, and for a praise, and for a glory: but they would not hear. JEREMIAH 14 7 O LORD, though our iniquities testify against us, do thou it for thy NAME's sake: for our backslidings are many; we have sinned against thee. 9 Why shouldest thou be as a man astonied, as a mighty man that cannot save? yet thou, O LORD, art in the midst of us, and we are called by thy NAME; leave us not. 14 Then the LORD said unto me, The prophets prophesy lies in my NAME: I sent them not, neither have I commanded them, neither spake unto them: they prophesy unto you a false vision and divination, and a thing of nought, and the deceit of their heart. 15 Therefore thus saith the LORD concerning the prophets that prophesy in my NAME, and I sent them not, yet they say, Sword and famine shall not be in this land; By sword and famine shall those prophets be consumed. 21 Do not abhor us, for thy NAME's sake, do not disgrace the throne of thy glory: remember, break not thy covenant with us. JEREMIAH 15 16 Thy words were found, and I did eat them; and thy word was unto me the joy and rejoicing of mine heart: for I am called by thy NAME, O LORD God of hosts. JEREMIAH 16 21 Therefore, behold, I will this once cause them to know, I will cause them to know mine hand and my might; and they shall know that my NAME is The LORD. JEREMIAH 20 3 And it came to pass on the morrow, that Pashur brought forth Jeremiah out of the stocks. Then said Jeremiah unto him, The LORD hath not called thy NAME Pashur, but Magormissabib. 9 Then I said, I will not make mention of him, nor speak any more in his NAME. But his word was in mine heart as a burning fire shut up in my bones, and I was weary with forbearing, and I could not stay. JEREMIAH 23 6 In his days Judah shall be saved, and Israel shall dwell safely: and this is his NAME whereby he shall be called, THE LORD OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS. 25 I have heard what the prophets said, that prophesy lies in my NAME, saying, I have dreamed, I have dreamed. 27 Which think to cause my people to forget my NAME by their dreams which they tell every man to his neighbour, as their fathers have forgotten my NAME for Baal. JEREMIAH 25 29 For, lo, I begin to bring evil on the city which is called by my NAME, and should ye be utterly unpunished? Ye shall not be unpunished: for I will call for a sword upon all the inhabitants of the earth, saith the LORD of hosts. JEREMIAH 26 9 Why hast thou prophesied in the NAME of the LORD, saying, This house shall be like Shiloh, and this city shall be desolate without an inhabitant? And all the people were gathered against Jeremiah in the house of the LORD. 16 Then said the princes and all the people unto the priests and to the prophets; This man is not worthy to die: for he hath spoken to us in the NAME of the LORD our God. 20 And there was also a man that prophesied in the NAME of the LORD, Urijah the son of Shemaiah of Kirjathjearim, who prophesied against this city and against this land according to all the words of Jeremiah. 21 And when Jehoiakim the king, with all his mighty men, and all the princes, heard his words, the king sought to put him to death: but when Urijah heard it, he was AFRAID, and fled, and went into Egypt; --MORE-- |
