AMOS 9 5 And the Lord GOD of hosts is he that toucheth the land, and it shall melt, and all that dwell therein shall mourn: and it shall rise up wholly like a flood; and shall be drowned, AS by the flood of Egypt. 7 Are ye not AS children of the Ethiopians unto me, O children of Israel? saith the LORD. JONAH 1 14 Wherefore they cried unto the LORD, and said, We beseech thee, O LORD, we beseech thee, let us not perish for this man's life, and lay not upon us innocent blood: for thou, O LORD, hast done AS it pleased thee. MICAH 2 8 Even of late my people is risen up AS an enemy: ye pull off the robe with the garment from them that pass by securely AS men averse from war. 12 I will surely assemble, O Jacob, all of thee; I will surely gather the remnant of Israel; I will put them together AS the sheep of Bozrah, AS the flock in the midst of their fold: they shall make great noise by reason of the multitude of men. MICAH 3 3 Who also eat the flesh of my people, and flay their skin from off them; and they break their bones, and chop them in pieces, AS for the pot, and AS flesh within the caldron. 4 Then shall they cry unto the LORD, but he will not hear them: he will even hide his face from them at that time, AS they have behaved themselves ill in their doings. 12 Therefore shall Zion for your sake be plowed AS a field, and Jerusalem shall become heaps, and the mountain of the house AS the high places of the forest. MICAH 4 9 Now why dost thou cry out aloud? is there no king in thee? is thy counsellor perished? for pangs have taken thee AS a woman in travail. 12 But they know not the thoughts of the LORD, neither understand they his counsel: for he shall gather them AS the sheaves into the floor. MICAH 5 7 And the remnant of Jacob shall be in the midst of many people AS a dew from the LORD, AS the showers upon the grass, that tarrieth not for man, nor waiteth for the sons of men. 8 And the remnant of Jacob shall be among the Gentiles in the midst of many people AS a lion among the beasts of the forest, AS a young lion among the flocks of sheep: who, if he go through, both treadeth down, and teareth in pieces, and none can deliver. 15 And I will execute vengeance in anger and fury upon the heathen, such AS they have not heard. MICAH 7 1 Woe is me! for I am AS when they have gathered the summer fruits, AS the grapegleanings of the vintage: there is no cluster to eat: my soul desired the firstripe fruit. 4 The best of them is AS a brier: the most upright is sharper than a thorn hedge: the day of thy watchmen and thy visitation cometh; now shall be their perplexity. 10 Then she that is mine enemy shall see it, and shame shall cover her which said unto me, Where is the LORD thy God? mine eyes shall behold her: now shall she be trodden down AS the mire of the streets. 14 Feed thy people with thy rod, the flock of thine heritage, which dwell solitarily in the wood, in the midst of Carmel: let them feed in Bashan and Gilead, AS in the days of old. NAHUM 1 10 For while they be folden together AS thorns, and while they are drunken AS drunkards, they shall be devoured AS stubble fully dry. HABAKKUK 1 8 Their horses also are swifter than the leopards, and are more fierce than the evening wolves: and their horsemen shall spread themselves, and their horsemen shall come from far; they shall fly AS the eagle that hasteth to eat. 9 They shall come all for violence: their faces shall sup up AS the east wind, and they shall gather the captivity AS the sand. 14 And makest men AS the fishes of the sea, AS the creeping things, that have no ruler over them? HABAKKUK 2 5 Yea also, because he transgresseth by wine, he is a proud man, neither keepeth at home, who enlargeth his desire AS hell, and is AS death, and cannot be satisfied, but gathereth unto him all nations, and heapeth unto him all people: 14 For the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the LORD, AS the waters cover the sea. HABAKKUK 3 4 And his brightness was AS the light; he had horns coming out of his hand: and there was the hiding of his power. 14 Thou didst strike through with his staves the head of his villages: they came out AS a whirlwind to scatter me: their rejoicing was AS to devour the poor secretly. ZEPHANIAH 1 8 And it shall come to pass in the day of the LORD's sacrifice, that I will punish the princes, and the king's children, and all such AS are clothed with strange apparel. 17 And I will bring distress upon men, that they shall walk like blind men, because they have sinned against the LORD: and their blood shall be poured out AS dust, and their flesh AS the dung. ZEPHANIAH 2 2 Before the decree bring forth, before the day pass AS the chaff, before the fierce anger of the LORD come upon you, before the day of the LORD's anger come upon you. 9 Therefore AS I live, saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, Surely Moab shall be AS Sodom, and the children of Ammon AS Gomorrah, even the breeding of nettles, and saltpits, and a perpetual desolation: the residue of my people shall spoil them, and the remnant of my people shall possess them. HAGGAI 1 12 Then Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, and Joshua the son of Josedech, the high priest, with all the remnant of the people, obeyed the voice of the LORD their God, and the words of Haggai the prophet, AS the LORD their God had sent him, and the people did fear before the LORD. HAGGAI 2 3 Who is left among you that saw this house in her first glory? and how do ye see it now? is it not in your eyes in comparison of it AS nothing? 19 Is the seed yet in the barn? yea, AS yet the vine, and the fig tree, and the pomegranate, and the olive tree, hath not brought forth: from this day will I bless you. 23 In that day, saith the LORD of hosts, will I take thee, O Zerubbabel, my servant, the son of Shealtiel, saith the LORD, and will make thee AS a signet: for I have chosen thee, saith the LORD of hosts. ZECHARIAH 1 4 Be ye not AS your fathers, unto whom the former prophets have cried, saying, Thus saith the LORD of hosts; Turn ye now from your evil ways, and from your evil doings: but they did not hear, nor hearken unto me, saith the LORD. 6 But my words and my statutes, which I commanded my servants the prophets, did they not take hold of your fathers? and they returned and said, Like AS the LORD of hosts thought to do unto us, according to our ways, and according to our doings, so hath he dealt with us. --MORE-- |
