1 SAMUEL 3 4 That the LORD called Samuel: and he answered, Here AM I. 5 And he ran unto Eli, and said, Here AM I; for thou calledst me. And he said, I called not; lie down again. And he went and lay down. 6 And the LORD called yet again, Samuel. And Samuel arose and went to Eli, and said, Here AM I; for thou didst call me. And he answered, I called not, my son; lie down again. 8 And the LORD called Samuel again the third time. And he arose and went to Eli, and said, Here AM I; for thou didst call me. And Eli perceived that the LORD had called the child. 16 Then Eli called Samuel, and said, Samuel, my son. And he answered, Here AM I. 1 SAMUEL 4 16 And the man said unto Eli, I AM he that came out of the army, and I fled to day out of the army. And he said, What is there done, my son? 1 SAMUEL 9 19 And Samuel answered Saul, and said, I AM the seer: go up before me unto the high place; for ye shall eat with me to day, and to morrow I will let thee go, and will tell thee all that is in thine heart. 21 And Saul answered and said, AM not I a Benjamite, of the smallest of the tribes of Israel? and my family the least of all the families of the tribe of Benjamin? wherefore then speakest thou so to me? 1 SAMUEL 12 2 And now, behold, the king walketh before you: and I AM old and grayheaded; and, behold, my sons are with you: and I have walked before you from my childhood unto this day. 3 Behold, here I AM: witness against me before the LORD, and before his anointed: whose ox have I taken? or whose ass have I taken? or whom have I defrauded? whom have I oppressed? or of whose hand have I received any bribe to blind mine eyes therewith? and I will restore it you. 1 SAMUEL 14 7 And his armourbearer said unto him, Do all that is in thine heart: turn thee; behold, I AM with thee according to thy heart. 1 SAMUEL 16 2 And Samuel said, How can I go? if Saul hear it, he will kill me. And the LORD said, Take an heifer with thee, and say, I AM come to sacrifice to the LORD. 5 And he said, Peaceably: I AM come to sacrifice unto the LORD: sanctify yourselves, and come with me to the sacrifice. And he sanctified Jesse and his sons, and called them to the sacrifice. 1 SAMUEL 17 8 And he stood and cried unto the armies of Israel, and said unto them, Why are ye come out to set your battle in array? AM not I a Philistine, and ye servants to Saul? choose you a man for you, and let him come down to me. 43 And the Philistine said unto David, AM I a dog, that thou comest to me with staves? And the Philistine cursed David by his gods. 58 And Saul said to him, Whose son art thou, thou young man? And David answered, I AM the son of thy servant Jesse the Bethlehemite. 1 SAMUEL 18 18 And David said unto Saul, Who AM I? and what is my life, or my father's family in Israel, that I should be son in law to the king? 23 And Saul's servants spake those words in the ears of David. And David said, Seemeth it to you a light thing to be a king's son in law, seeing that I AM a poor man, and lightly esteemed? 1 SAMUEL 22 12 And Saul said, Hear now, thou son of Ahitub. And he answered, Here I AM, my lord. 1 SAMUEL 28 15 And Samuel said to Saul, Why hast thou disquieted me, to bring me up? And Saul answered, I AM sore distressed; for the Philistines make war against me, and God is departed from me, and answereth me no more, neither by prophets, nor by dreams: therefore I have called thee, that thou mayest make known unto me what I shall do. 1 SAMUEL 30 13 And David said unto him, To whom belongest thou? and whence art thou? And he said, I AM a young man of Egypt, servant to an Amalekite; and my master left me, because three days agone I fell sick. 2 SAMUEL 1 3 And David said unto him, From whence comest thou? And he said unto him, Out of the camp of Israel AM I escaped. 7 And when he looked behind him, he saw me, and called unto me. And I answered, Here AM I. 8 And he said unto me, Who art thou? And I answered him, I AM an Amalekite. 13 And David said unto the young man that told him, Whence art thou? And he answered, I AM the son of a stranger, an Amalekite. 26 I AM distressed for thee, my brother Jonathan: very pleasant hast thou been unto me: thy love to me was wonderful, passing the love of women. 2 SAMUEL 2 20 Then Abner looked behind him, and said, Art thou Asahel? And he answered, I AM. 2 SAMUEL 3 8 Then was Abner very wroth for the words of Ishbosheth, and said, AM I a dog's head, which against Judah do shew kindness this day unto the house of Saul thy father, to his brethren, and to his friends, and have not delivered thee into the hand of David, that thou chargest me to day with a fault concerning this woman? 39 And I AM this day weak, though anointed king; and these men the sons of Zeruiah be too hard for me: the LORD shall reward the doer of evil according to his wickedness. 2 SAMUEL 7 18 Then went king David in, and sat before the LORD, and he said, Who AM I, O Lord GOD? and what is my house, that thou hast brought me hitherto? 2 SAMUEL 9 8 And he bowed himself, and said, What is thy servant, that thou shouldest look upon such a dead dog as I AM? 2 SAMUEL 11 5 And the woman conceived, and sent and told David, and said, I AM with child. 2 SAMUEL 14 5 And the king said unto her, What aileth thee? And she answered, I AM indeed a widow woman, and mine husband is dead. 15 Now therefore that I AM come to speak of this thing unto my lord the king, it is because the people have made me afraid: and thy handmaid said, I will now speak unto the king; it may be that the king will perform the request of his handmaid. 32 And Absalom answered Joab, Behold, I sent unto thee, saying, Come hither, that I may send thee to the king, to say, Wherefore AM I come from Geshur? it had been good for me to have been there still: now therefore let me see the king's face; and if there be any iniquity in me, let him kill me. 2 SAMUEL 15 12 And Absalom sent for AHITHOPHEL the Gilonite, David's counsellor, from his city, even from Giloh, while he offered sacrifices. And the conspiracy was strong; for the people increased continually with Absalom. 26 But if he thus say, I have no delight in thee; behold, here AM I, let him do to me as seemeth good unto him. 31 And one told David, saying, AHITHOPHEL is among the conspirators with Absalom. And David said, O LORD, I pray thee, turn the counsel of AHITHOPHEL into foolishness. 34 But if thou return to the city, and say unto Absalom, I will be thy servant, O king; as I have been thy father's servant hitherto, so will I now also be thy servant: then mayest thou for me defeat the counsel of AHITHOPHEL. 2 SAMUEL 16 15 And Absalom, and all the people the men of Israel, came to Jerusalem, and AHITHOPHEL with him. 20 Then said Absalom to AHITHOPHEL, Give counsel among you what we shall do. 21 And AHITHOPHEL said unto Absalom, Go in unto thy father's concubines, which he hath left to keep the house; and all Israel shall hear that thou art abhorred of thy father: then shall the hands of all that are with thee be strong. 23 And the counsel of AHITHOPHEL, which he counselled in those days, was as if a man had enquired at the oracle of God: so was all the counsel of AHITHOPHEL both with David and with Absalom. 2 SAMUEL 17 1 Moreover AHITHOPHEL said unto Absalom, Let me now choose out twelve thousand men, and I will arise and pursue after David this night: 6 And when Hushai was come to Absalom, Absalom spake unto him, saying, AHITHOPHEL hath spoken after this manner: shall we do after his saying? if not; speak thou. 7 And Hushai said unto Absalom, The counsel that AHITHOPHEL hath given is not good at this time. 14 And Absalom and all the men of Israel said, The counsel of Hushai the Archite is better than the counsel of AHITHOPHEL. For the LORD had appointed to defeat the good counsel of AHITHOPHEL, to the intent that the LORD might bring evil upon Absalom. 15 Then said Hushai unto Zadok and to Abiathar the priests, Thus and thus did AHITHOPHEL counsel Absalom and the elders of Israel; and thus and thus have I counselled. 21 And it came to pass, after they were departed, that they came up out of the well, and went and told king David, and said unto David, Arise, and pass quickly over the water: for thus hath AHITHOPHEL counselled against you. 23 And when AHITHOPHEL saw that his counsel was not followed, he saddled his ass, and arose, and gat him home to his house, to his city, and put his household in order, and hanged himself, and died, and was buried in the sepulchre of his father. --MORE-- |
