HOSEA 14 2 Take with you words, and turn to the LORD: SAY unto him, Take away all iniquity, and receive us graciously: so will we render the calves of our lips. 3 Asshur shall not save us; we will not ride upon horses: neither will we SAY any more to the work of our hands, Ye are our gods: for in thee the fatherless findeth mercy. 8 Ephraim shall SAY, What have I to do any more with idols? I have heard him, and observed him: I am like a green fir tree. From me is thy fruit found. JOEL 2 17 Let the priests, the ministers of the LORD, weep between the porch and the altar, and let them SAY, Spare thy people, O LORD, and give not thine heritage to reproach, that the heathen should rule over them: wherefore should they SAY among the people, Where is their God? 19 Yea, the LORD will answer and SAY unto his people, Behold, I will send you corn, and wine, and oil, and ye shall be satisfied therewith: and I will no more make you a reproach among the heathen: 22 Be not AFRAID, ye beasts of the field: for the pastures of the wilderness do spring, for the tree beareth her fruit, the fig tree and the vine do yield their strength. AMOS 3 6 Shall a trumpet be blown in the city, and the people not be AFRAID? shall there be evil in a city, and the LORD hath not done it? 9 Publish in the palaces at Ashdod, and in the palaces in the land of Egypt, and SAY, Assemble yourselves upon the mountains of Samaria, and behold the great tumults in the midst thereof, and the oppressed in the midst thereof. AMOS 4 1 Hear this word, ye kine of Bashan, that are in the mountain of Samaria, which oppress the poor, which crush the needy, which SAY to their masters, Bring, and let us drink. AMOS 5 16 Therefore the LORD, the God of hosts, the LORD, saith thus; Wailing shall be in all streets; and they shall SAY in all the highways, Alas! alas! and they shall call the husbandman to mourning, and such as are skilful of lamentation to wailing. AMOS 6 10 And a man's uncle shall take him up, and he that burneth him, to bring out the bones out of the house, and shall SAY unto him that is by the sides of the house, Is there yet any with thee? and he shall SAY, No. Then shall he SAY, Hold thy tongue: for we may not make mention of the name of the LORD. 13 Ye which rejoice in a thing of nought, which SAY, Have we not taken to us horns by our own strength? JONAH 1 5 Then the mariners were AFRAID, and cried every man unto his god, and cast forth the wares that were in the ship into the sea, to lighten it of them. But Jonah was gone down into the sides of the ship; and he lay, and was fast asleep. 10 Then were the men exceedingly AFRAID, and said unto him. Why hast thou done this? For the men knew that he fled from the presence of the LORD, because he had told them. MICAH 2 4 In that day shall one take up a parable against you, and lament with a doleful lamentation, and SAY, We be utterly spoiled: he hath changed the portion of my people: how hath he removed it from me! turning away he hath divided our fields. 6 Prophesy ye not, SAY they to them that prophesy: they shall not prophesy to them, that they shall not take shame. MICAH 4 2 And many nations shall come, and SAY, Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, and to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for the law shall go forth of Zion, and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem. 4 But they shall sit every man under his vine and under his fig tree; and none shall make them AFRAID: for the mouth of the LORD of hosts hath spoken it. 11 Now also many nations are gathered against thee, that SAY, Let her be defiled, and let our eye look upon Zion. MICAH 7 17 They shall lick the dust like a serpent, they shall move out of their holes like worms of the earth: they shall be AFRAID of the LORD our God, and shall fear because of thee. NAHUM 2 11 Where is the dwelling of the lions, and the feedingplace of the young lions, where the lion, even the old lion, walked, and the lion's whelp, and none made them AFRAID? HABAKKUK 2 1 I will stand upon my watch, and set me upon the tower, and will watch to see what he will SAY unto me, and what I shall answer when I am reproved. 6 Shall not all these take up a parable against him, and a taunting proverb against him, and SAY, Woe to him that increaseth that which is not his! how long? and to him that ladeth himself with thick clay! 17 For the violence of Lebanon shall cover thee, and the spoil of beasts, which made them AFRAID, because of men's blood, and for the violence of the land, of the city, and of all that dwell therein. HABAKKUK 3 2 O LORD, I have heard thy speech, and was AFRAID: O LORD, revive thy work in the midst of the years, in the midst of the years make known; in wrath remember mercy. ZEPHANIAH 1 12 And it shall come to pass at that time, that I will search Jerusalem with candles, and punish the men that are settled on their lees: that SAY in their heart, The LORD will not do good, neither will he do evil. ZEPHANIAH 3 13 The remnant of Israel shall not do iniquity, nor speak lies; neither shall a deceitful tongue be found in their mouth: for they shall feed and lie down, and none shall make them AFRAID. ZECHARIAH 1 3 Therefore SAY thou unto them, Thus saith the LORD of hosts; Turn ye unto me, saith the LORD of hosts, and I will turn unto you, saith the LORD of hosts. ZECHARIAH 12 5 And the governors of Judah shall SAY in their heart, The inhabitants of Jerusalem shall be my strength in the LORD of hosts their God. ZECHARIAH 13 3 And it shall come to pass, that when any shall yet prophesy, then his father and his mother that begat him shall SAY unto him, Thou shalt not live; for thou speakest lies in the name of the LORD: and his father and his mother that begat him shall thrust him through when he prophesieth. 5 But he shall SAY, I am no prophet, I am an husbandman; for man taught me to keep cattle from my youth. 6 And one shall SAY unto him, What are these wounds in thine hands? Then he shall answer, Those with which I was wounded in the house of my friends. 9 And I will bring the third part through the fire, and will refine them as silver is refined, and will try them as gold is tried: they shall call on my name, and I will hear them: I will SAY, It is my people: and they shall SAY, The LORD is my God. MALACHI 2 5 My covenant was with him of life and peace; and I gave them to him for the fear wherewith he feared me, and was AFRAID before my name. 14 Yet ye SAY, Wherefore? Because the LORD hath been witness between thee and the wife of thy youth, against whom thou hast dealt treacherously: yet is she thy companion, and the wife of thy covenant. 17 Ye have wearied the LORD with your words. Yet ye SAY, Wherein have we wearied him? When ye SAY, Every one that doeth evil is good in the sight of the LORD, and he delighteth in them; or, Where is the God of judgment? MATTHEW 2 22 But when he heard that Archelaus did reign in Judaea in the room of his father Herod, he was AFRAID to go thither: notwithstanding, being warned of God in a dream, he turned aside into the parts of Galilee: MATTHEW 3 9 And think not to SAY within yourselves, We have Abraham to our father: for I SAY unto you, that God is able of these stones to raise up children unto Abraham. MATTHEW 5 11 Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall SAY all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake. 18 For verily I SAY unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled. 20 For I SAY unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven. 22 But I SAY unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment: and whosoever shall SAY to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council: but whosoever shall SAY, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire. 26 Verily I SAY unto thee, Thou shalt by no means come out thence, till thou hast paid the uttermost farthing. 28 But I SAY unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart. 32 But I SAY unto you, That whosoever shall put away his wife, saving for the cause of fornication, causeth her to commit adultery: and whosoever shall marry her that is divorced committeth adultery. 34 But I SAY unto you, Swear not at all; neither by heaven; for it is God's throne: 39 But I SAY unto you, That ye resist not evil: but whosoever shall smite thee on thy right cheek, turn to him the other also. 44 But I SAY unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you; MATTHEW 6 2 Therefore when thou doest thine alms, do not sound a trumpet before thee, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may have glory of men. Verily I SAY unto you, They have their reward. 5 And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I SAY unto you, They have their reward. 16 Moreover when ye fast, be not, as the hypocrites, of a sad countenance: for they disfigure their faces, that they may appear unto men to fast. Verily I SAY unto you, They have their reward. 25 Therefore I SAY unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment? 29 And yet I SAY unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. --MORE-- |
