1 CHRONICLES 21 30 But David could not go before it to enquire of God: for he was AFRAID because of the sword of the angel of the LORD. 1 CHRONICLES 22 8 But the word of the LORD came to me, saying, Thou HAST shed blood abundantly, and HAST made great wars: thou shalt not build an house unto my name, because thou HAST shed much blood upon the earth in my sight. 1 CHRONICLES 28 3 But God said unto me, Thou shalt not build an house for my name, because thou HAST been a man of war, and HAST shed blood. 20 And David said to Solomon his son, Be strong and of good courage, and do it: fear not, nor be dismayed: for the LORD God, even my God, will be with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee, until thou HAST finished all the work for the service of the house of the LORD. 1 CHRONICLES 29 17 I know also, my God, that thou triest the heart, and HAST pleasure in uprightness. As for me, in the uprightness of mine heart I have willingly offered all these things: and now have I seen with joy thy people, which are present here, to offer willingly unto thee. 2 CHRONICLES 1 8 And Solomon said unto God, Thou HAST shewed great mercy unto David my father, and HAST made me to reign in his stead. 9 Now, O LORD God, let thy promise unto David my father be established: for thou HAST made me king over a people like the dust of the earth in multitude. 11 And God said to Solomon, Because this was in thine heart, and thou HAST not asked riches, wealth, or honour, nor the life of thine enemies, neither yet HAST asked long life; but HAST asked wisdom and knowledge for thyself, that thou mayest judge my people, over whom I have made thee king: 2 CHRONICLES 6 15 Thou which HAST kept with thy servant David my father that which thou HAST promised him; and spakest with thy mouth, and HAST fulfilled it with thine hand, as it is this day. 16 Now therefore, O LORD God of Israel, keep with thy servant David my father that which thou HAST promised him, saying, There shall not fail thee a man in my sight to sit upon the throne of Israel; yet so that thy children take heed to their way to walk in my law, as thou HAST walked before me. 17 Now then, O LORD God of Israel, let thy word be verified, which thou HAST spoken unto thy servant David. 20 That thine eyes may be open upon this house day and night, upon the place whereof thou HAST said that thou wouldest put thy name there; to hearken unto the prayer which thy servant prayeth toward this place. 27 Then hear thou from heaven, and forgive the sin of thy servants, and of thy people Israel, when thou HAST taught them the good way, wherein they should walk; and send rain upon thy land, which thou HAST given unto thy people for an inheritance. 34 If thy people go out to war against their enemies by the way that thou shalt send them, and they pray unto thee toward this city which thou HAST chosen, and the house which I have built for thy name; 38 If they return to thee with all their heart and with all their soul in the land of their captivity, whither they have carried them captives, and pray toward their land, which thou gavest unto their fathers, and toward the city which thou HAST chosen, and toward the house which I have built for thy name: 2 CHRONICLES 16 7 And at that time Hanani the seer came to Asa king of Judah, and said unto him, Because thou HAST relied on the king of Syria, and not relied on the LORD thy God, therefore is the host of the king of Syria escaped out of thine hand. 9 For the eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to shew himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward him. Herein thou HAST done foolishly: therefore from henceforth thou shalt have wars. 2 CHRONICLES 19 3 Nevertheless there are good things found in thee, in that thou HAST taken away the groves out of the land, and HAST prepared thine heart to seek God. 2 CHRONICLES 20 11 Behold, I say, how they reward us, to come to cast us out of thy possession, which thou HAST given us to inherit. 15 And he said, Hearken ye, all Judah, and ye inhabitants of Jerusalem, and thou king Jehoshaphat, Thus saith the LORD unto you, Be not AFRAID nor dismayed by reason of this great multitude; for the battle is not yours, but God's. 37 Then Eliezer the son of Dodavah of Mareshah prophesied against Jehoshaphat, saying, Because thou HAST joined thyself with Ahaziah, the LORD hath broken thy works. And the ships were broken, that they were not able to go to Tarshish. 2 CHRONICLES 21 12 And there came a writing to him from Elijah the prophet, saying, Thus saith the LORD God of David thy father, Because thou HAST not walked in the ways of Jehoshaphat thy father, nor in the ways of Asa king of Judah, 13 But HAST walked in the way of the kings of Israel, and HAST made Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem to go a whoring, like to the whoredoms of the house of Ahab, and also HAST slain thy brethren of thy father's house, which were better than thyself: 2 CHRONICLES 24 6 And the king called for Jehoiada the chief, and said unto him, Why HAST thou not required of the Levites to bring in out of Judah and out of Jerusalem the collection, according to the commandment of Moses the servant of the LORD, and of the congregation of Israel, for the tabernacle of witness? 2 CHRONICLES 25 15 Wherefore the anger of the LORD was kindled against Amaziah, and he sent unto him a prophet, which said unto him, Why HAST thou sought after the gods of the people, which could not deliver their own people out of thine hand? 16 And it came to pass, as he talked with him, that the king said unto him, Art thou made of the king's counsel? forbear; why shouldest thou be smitten? Then the prophet forbare, and said, I know that God hath determined to destroy thee, because thou HAST done this, and HAST not hearkened unto my counsel. 19 Thou sayest, Lo, thou HAST smitten the Edomites; and thine heart lifteth thee up to boast: abide now at home; why shouldest thou meddle to thine hurt, that thou shouldest fall, even thou, and Judah with thee? 2 CHRONICLES 26 18 And they withstood Uzziah the king, and said unto him, It appertaineth not unto thee, Uzziah, to burn incense unto the LORD, but to the priests the sons of Aaron, that are consecrated to burn incense: go out of the sanctuary; for thou HAST trespassed; neither shall it be for thine honour from the LORD God. 2 CHRONICLES 32 7 Be strong and courageous, be not AFRAID nor dismayed for the king of Assyria, nor for all the multitude that is with him: for there be more with us than with him: 2 CHRONICLES 34 26 And as for the king of Judah, who sent you to enquire of the LORD, so shall ye say unto him, Thus saith the LORD God of Israel concerning the words which thou HAST heard; EZRA 9 11 Which thou HAST commanded by thy servants the prophets, saying, The land, unto which ye go to possess it, is an unclean land with the filthiness of the people of the lands, with their abominations, which have filled it from one end to another with their uncleanness. 13 And after all that is come upon us for our evil deeds, and for our great trespass, seeing that thou our God HAST punished us less than our iniquities deserve, and HAST given us such deliverance as this; EZRA 10 12 Then all the congregation answered and said with a loud voice, As thou HAST said, so must we do. NEHEMIAH 1 10 Now these are thy servants and thy people, whom thou HAST redeemed by thy great power, and by thy strong hand. NEHEMIAH 2 2 Wherefore the king said unto me, Why is thy countenance sad, seeing thou art not sick? this is nothing else but sorrow of heart. Then I was very sore AFRAID, NEHEMIAH 4 14 And I looked, and rose up, and said unto the nobles, and to the rulers, and to the rest of the people, Be not ye AFRAID of them: remember the LORD, which is great and terrible, and fight for your brethren, your sons, and your daughters, your wives, and your houses. NEHEMIAH 6 7 And thou HAST also appointed prophets to preach of thee at Jerusalem, saying, There is a king in Judah: and now shall it be reported to the king according to these words. Come now therefore, and let us take counsel together. 9 For they all made us AFRAID, saying, Their hands shall be weakened from the work, that it be not done. Now therefore, O God, strengthen my hands. 13 Therefore was he hired, that I should be AFRAID, and do so, and sin, and that they might have matter for an evil report, that they might reproach me. NEHEMIAH 9 6 Thou, even thou, art LORD alone; thou HAST made heaven, the heaven of heavens, with all their host, the earth, and all things that are therein, the seas, and all that is therein, and thou preservest them all; and the host of heaven worshippeth thee. 8 And foundest his heart faithful before thee, and madest a covenant with him to give the land of the Canaanites, the Hittites, the Amorites, and the Perizzites, and the Jebusites, and the Girgashites, to give it, I say, to his seed, and HAST performed thy words; for thou art righteous: 33 Howbeit thou art just in all that is brought upon us; for thou HAST done right, but we have done wickedly: 37 And it yieldeth much increase unto the kings whom thou HAST set over us because of our sins: also they have dominion over our bodies, and over our cattle, at their pleasure, and we are in great distress. ESTHER 6 10 Then the king said to Haman, Make haste, and take the apparel and the horse, as thou HAST said, and do even so to Mordecai the Jew, that sitteth at the king's gate: let nothing fail of all that thou HAST spoken. 13 And Haman told Zeresh his wife and all his friends every thing that had befallen him. Then said his wise men and Zeresh his wife unto him, If Mordecai be of the seed of the Jews, before whom thou HAST begun to fall, thou shalt not prevail against him, but shalt surely fall before him. ESTHER 7 6 And Esther said, The adversary and enemy is this wicked Haman. Then Haman was AFRAID before the king and the queen. JOB 1 8 And the LORD said unto Satan, HAST thou considered my servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, and escheweth evil? 10 HAST not thou made an hedge about him, and about his house, and about all that he hath on every side? thou HAST blessed the work of his hands, and his substance is increased in the land. JOB 2 3 And the LORD said unto Satan, HAST thou considered my servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, and escheweth evil? and still he holdeth fast his integrity, although thou movedst me against him, to destroy him without cause. JOB 3 25 For the thing which I greatly feared is come upon me, and that which I was AFRAID of is come unto me. --MORE-- |
