1 SAMUEL 7 7 And when the Philistines heard that the children of Israel were gathered together to Mizpeh, the lords of the Philistines went up against Israel. And when the children of Israel heard it, they were AFRAID of the Philistines. 1 SAMUEL 12 4 And they said, Thou HAST not defrauded us, nor oppressed us, neither HAST thou taken ought of any man's hand. 1 SAMUEL 13 11 And Samuel said, What HAST thou done? And Saul said, Because I saw that the people were scattered from me, and that thou camest not within the days appointed, and that the Philistines gathered themselves together at Michmash; 13 And Samuel said to Saul, Thou HAST done foolishly: thou HAST not kept the commandment of the LORD thy God, which he commanded thee: for now would the LORD have established thy kingdom upon Israel for ever. 14 But now thy kingdom shall not continue: the LORD hath sought him a man after his own heart, and the LORD hath commanded him to be captain over his people, because thou HAST not kept that which the LORD commanded thee. 1 SAMUEL 14 43 Then Saul said to Jonathan, Tell me what thou HAST done. And Jonathan told him, and said, I did but taste a little honey with the end of the rod that was in mine hand, and, lo, I must die. 1 SAMUEL 15 23 For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry. Because thou HAST rejected the word of the LORD, he hath also rejected thee from being king. 26 And Samuel said unto Saul, I will not return with thee: for thou HAST rejected the word of the LORD, and the LORD hath rejected thee from being king over Israel. 1 SAMUEL 17 11 When Saul and all Israel heard those words of the Philistine, they were dismayed, and greatly AFRAID. 24 And all the men of Israel, when they saw the man, fled from him, and were sore AFRAID. 28 And Eliab his eldest brother heard when he spake unto the men; and Eliab's anger was kindled against David, and he said, Why camest thou down hither? and with whom HAST thou left those few sheep in the wilderness? I know thy pride, and the naughtiness of thine heart; for thou art come down that thou mightest see the battle. 45 Then said David to the Philistine, Thou comest to me with a sword, and with a spear, and with a shield: but I come to thee in the name of the LORD of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom thou HAST defied. 1 SAMUEL 18 12 And Saul was AFRAID of David, because the LORD was with him, and was departed from Saul. 15 Wherefore when Saul saw that he behaved himself very wisely, he was AFRAID of him. 29 And Saul was yet the more AFRAID of David; and Saul became David's enemy continually. 1 SAMUEL 19 17 And Saul said unto Michal, Why HAST thou deceived me so, and sent away mine enemy, that he is escaped? And Michal answered Saul, He said unto me, Let me go; why should I kill thee? 1 SAMUEL 20 8 Therefore thou shalt deal kindly with thy servant; for thou HAST brought thy servant into a covenant of the LORD with thee: notwithstanding, if there be in me iniquity, slay me thyself; for why shouldest thou bring me to thy father? 19 And when thou HAST stayed three days, then thou shalt go down quickly, and come to the place where thou didst hide thyself when the business was in hand, and shalt remain by the stone Ezel. 30 Then Saul's anger was kindled against Jonathan, and he said unto him, Thou son of the perverse rebellious woman, do not I know that thou HAST chosen the son of Jesse to thine own confusion, and unto the confusion of thy mother's nakedness? 1 SAMUEL 21 1 Then came David to Nob to Ahimelech the priest: and Ahimelech was AFRAID at the meeting of David, and said unto him, Why art thou alone, and no man with thee? 12 And David laid up these words in his heart, and was sore AFRAID of Achish the king of Gath. 1 SAMUEL 22 13 And Saul said unto him, Why have ye conspired against me, thou and the son of Jesse, in that thou HAST given him bread, and a sword, and HAST enquired of God for him, that he should rise against me, to lie in wait, as at this day? 1 SAMUEL 23 3 And David's men said unto him, Behold, we be AFRAID here in Judah: how much more then if we come to Keilah against the armies of the Philistines? 1 SAMUEL 24 17 And he said to David, Thou art more righteous than I: for thou HAST rewarded me good, whereas I have rewarded thee evil. 18 And thou HAST shewed this day how that thou HAST dealt well with me: forasmuch as when the LORD had delivered me into thine hand, thou killedst me not. 19 For if a man find his enemy, will he let him go well away? wherefore the LORD reward thee good for that thou HAST done unto me this day. 1 SAMUEL 25 6 And thus shall ye say to him that liveth in prosperity, Peace be both to thee, and peace be to thine house, and peace be unto all that thou HAST. 7 And now I have heard that thou HAST shearers: now thy shepherds which were with us, we hurt them not, neither was there ought missing unto them, all the while they were in Carmel. 31 That this shall be no grief unto thee, nor offence of heart unto my lord, either that thou HAST shed blood causeless, or that my lord hath avenged himself: but when the LORD shall have dealt well with my lord, then remember thine handmaid. 33 And blessed be thy advice, and blessed be thou, which HAST kept me this day from coming to shed blood, and from avenging myself with mine own hand. 1 SAMUEL 26 15 And David said to Abner, Art not thou a valiant man? and who is like to thee in Israel? wherefore then HAST thou not kept thy lord the king? for there came one of the people in to destroy the king thy lord. 16 This thing is not good that thou HAST done. As the LORD liveth, ye are worthy to die, because ye have not kept your master, the LORD's anointed. And now see where the king's spear is, and the cruse of water that was at his bolster. 1 SAMUEL 28 5 And when Saul saw the host of the Philistines, he was AFRAID, and his heart greatly trembled. 12 And when the woman saw Samuel, she cried with a loud voice: and the woman spake to Saul, saying, Why HAST thou deceived me? for thou art Saul. 13 And the king said unto her, Be not AFRAID: for what sawest thou? And the woman said unto Saul, I saw gods ascending out of the earth. 15 And Samuel said to Saul, Why HAST thou disquieted me, to bring me up? And Saul answered, I am sore distressed; for the Philistines make war against me, and God is departed from me, and answereth me no more, neither by prophets, nor by dreams: therefore I have called thee, that thou mayest make known unto me what I shall do. 20 Then Saul fell straightway all along on the earth, and was sore AFRAID, because of the words of Samuel: and there was no strength in him; for he had eaten no bread all the day, nor all the night. 1 SAMUEL 29 4 And the princes of the Philistines were wroth with him; and the princes of the Philistines said unto him, Make this fellow return, that he may go again to his place which thou HAST appointed him, and let him not go down with us to battle, lest in the battle he be an adversary to us: for wherewith should he reconcile himself unto his master? should it not be with the heads of these men? 6 Then Achish called David, and said unto him, Surely, as the LORD liveth, thou HAST been upright, and thy going out and thy coming in with me in the host is good in my sight: for I have not found evil in thee since the day of thy coming unto me unto this day: nevertheless the lords favour thee not. 8 And David said unto Achish, But what have I done? and what HAST thou found in thy servant so long as I have been with thee unto this day, that I may not go fight against the enemies of my lord the king? 1 SAMUEL 31 4 Then said Saul unto his armourbearer, Draw thy sword, and thrust me through therewith; lest these uncircumcised come and thrust me through, and abuse me. But his armourbearer would not; for he was sore AFRAID. Therefore Saul took a sword, and fell upon it. 2 SAMUEL 1 14 And David said unto him, How wast thou not AFRAID to stretch forth thine hand to destroy the LORD's anointed? 26 I am distressed for thee, my brother Jonathan: very pleasant HAST thou been unto me: thy love to me was wonderful, passing the love of women. 2 SAMUEL 3 7 And Saul had a concubine, whose name was Rizpah, the daughter of Aiah: and Ishbosheth said to Abner, Wherefore HAST thou gone in unto my father's concubine? 24 Then Joab came to the king, and said, What HAST thou done? behold, Abner came unto thee; why is it that thou HAST sent him away, and he is quite gone? 2 SAMUEL 6 9 And David was AFRAID of the LORD that day, and said, How shall the ark of the LORD come to me? 22 And I will yet be more vile than thus, and will be base in mine own sight: and of the maidservants which thou HAST spoken of, of them shall I be had in honour. 2 SAMUEL 7 18 Then went king David in, and sat before the LORD, and he said, Who am I, O Lord GOD? and what is my house, that thou HAST brought me hitherto? 19 And this was yet a small thing in thy sight, O Lord GOD; but thou HAST spoken also of thy servant's house for a great while to come. And is this the manner of man, O Lord GOD? 21 For thy word's sake, and according to thine own heart, HAST thou done all these great things, to make thy servant know them. 24 For thou HAST confirmed to thyself thy people Israel to be a people unto thee for ever: and thou, LORD, art become their God. 25 And now, O LORD God, the word that thou HAST spoken concerning thy servant, and concerning his house, establish it for ever, and do as thou HAST said. 27 For thou, O LORD of hosts, God of Israel, HAST revealed to thy servant, saying, I will build thee an house: therefore hath thy servant found in his heart to pray this prayer unto thee. 28 And now, O Lord GOD, thou art that God, and thy words be true, and thou HAST promised this goodness unto thy servant: 29 Therefore now let it please thee to bless the house of thy servant, that it may continue for ever before thee: for thou, O Lord GOD, HAST spoken it: and with thy blessing let the house of thy servant be blessed for ever. --MORE-- |
