DEUTERONOMY 2 4 And command thou the people, saying, Ye are to pass through the coast of your brethren the children of Esau, which dwell in Seir; and they shall be AFRAID of you: take ye good heed unto yourselves therefore: DEUTERONOMY 5 5 (I stood between the LORD and you at that time, to shew you the word of the LORD: for ye were AFRAID by reason of the fire, and went not up into the mount;) saying, 16 Honour thy father and thy MOTHER, as the LORD thy God hath commanded thee; that thy days may be prolonged, and that it may go well with thee, in the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee. And all the people shall say, Amen. 22 Cursed be he that lieth with his sister, the daughter of his father, or the daughter of his MOTHER. DEUTERONOMY 28 10 And all people of the earth shall see that thou art called by the name of the LORD; and they shall be AFRAID of thee. 60 Moreover he will bring upon thee all the diseases of Egypt, which thou wast AFRAID of; and they shall cleave unto thee. And Samson said unto his father, Get her for me; for she pleaseth me well. 4 But his father and his MOTHER knew not that it was of the LORD, that he sought an occasion against the Philistines: for at that time the Philistines had dominion over Israel. 5 Then went Samson down, and his father and his MOTHER, to Timnath, and came to the vineyards of Timnath: and, behold, a young lion roared against him. 6 And the Spirit of the LORD came mightily upon him, and he rent him as he would have rent a kid, and he had nothing in his hand: but he told not his father or his MOTHER what he had done. 9 And he took thereof in his hands, and went on eating, and came to his father and MOTHER, and he gave them, and they did eat: but he told not them that he had taken the honey out of the carcase of the lion. 16 And Samson's wife wept before him, and said, Thou dost but hate me, and lovest me not: thou hast put forth a riddle unto the children of my people, and hast not told it me. And he said unto her, Behold, I have not told it my father nor my MOTHER, and shall I tell it thee? JUDGES 17 2 And he said unto his MOTHER, The eleven hundred shekels of silver that were taken from thee, about which thou cursedst, and spakest of also in mine ears, behold, the silver is with me; I took it. And his MOTHER said, Blessed be thou of the LORD, my son. 3 And when he had restored the eleven hundred shekels of silver to his MOTHER, his MOTHER said, I had wholly dedicated the silver unto the LORD from my hand for my son, to make a graven image and a molten image: now therefore I will restore it unto thee. 4 Yet he restored the money unto his MOTHER; and his MOTHER took two hundred shekels of silver, and gave them to the founder, who made thereof a graven image and a molten image: and they were in the house of Micah. RUTH 1 8 And Naomi said unto her two daughters in law, Go, return each to her MOTHER's house: the LORD deal kindly with you, as ye have dealt with the dead, and with me. 14 And they lifted up their voice, and wept again: and Orpah kissed her MOTHER in law; but Ruth clave unto her. And she shewed her MOTHER in law with whom she had wrought, and said, The man's name with whom I wrought to day is Boaz. 23 So she kept fast by the maidens of Boaz to glean unto the end of barley harvest and of wheat harvest; and dwelt with her MOTHER in law. RUTH 3 1 Then Naomi her MOTHER in law said unto her, My daughter, shall I not seek rest for thee, that it may be well with thee? 6 And she went down unto the floor, and did according to all that her MOTHER in law bade her. 8 And it came to pass at midnight, that the man was AFRAID, and turned himself: and, behold, a woman lay at his feet. 16 And when she came to her MOTHER in law, she said, Who art thou, my daughter? And she told her all that the man had done to her. 17 And she said, These six measures of barley gave he me; for he said to me, Go not empty unto thy MOTHER in law. --MORE-- |
