2 CHRONICLES 29 4 And he brought in the priests and the Levites, and GATHERED them together into the east street, 15 And they GATHERED their brethren, and sanctified themselves, and came, according to the commandment of the king, by the words of the LORD, to cleanse the house of the LORD. 20 Then Hezekiah the king rose early, and GATHERED the rulers of the city, and went up to the house of the LORD. 30 Moreover Hezekiah the king and the princes commanded the Levites to sing praise unto the LORD with the words of David, and of Asaph the seer. And they sang praises with GLADNESS, and they bowed their heads and worshipped. 2 CHRONICLES 30 3 For they could not keep it at that time, because the priests had not sanctified themselves sufficiently, neither had the people GATHERED themselves together to Jerusalem. 21 And the children of Israel that were present at Jerusalem kept the feast of unleavened bread seven days with great GLADNESS: and the Levites and the priests praised the LORD day by day, singing with loud instruments unto the LORD. 23 And the whole assembly took counsel to keep other seven days: and they kept other seven days with GLADNESS. 2 CHRONICLES 32 4 So there was GATHERED much people together, who stopped all the fountains, and the brook that ran through the midst of the land, saying, Why should the kings of Assyria come, and find much water? 6 And he set captains of war over the people, and GATHERED them together to him in the street of the gate of the city, and spake comfortably to them, saying, 2 CHRONICLES 34 9 And when they came to Hilkiah the high priest, they delivered the money that was brought into the house of God, which the Levites that kept the doors had GATHERED of the hand of Manasseh and Ephraim, and of all the remnant of Israel, and of all Judah and Benjamin; and they returned to Jerusalem. 17 And they have GATHERED together the money that was found in the house of the LORD, and have delivered it into the hand of the overseers, and to the hand of the workmen. 28 Behold, I will gather thee to thy fathers, and thou shalt be GATHERED to thy grave in peace, neither shall thine eyes see all the evil that I will bring upon this place, and upon the inhabitants of the same. So they brought the king word again. 29 Then the king sent and GATHERED together all the elders of Judah and Jerusalem. EZRA 3 1 And when the seventh month was come, and the children of Israel were in the cities, the people GATHERED themselves together as one man to Jerusalem. EZRA 7 28 And hath extended mercy unto me before the king, and his counsellors, and before all the king's mighty princes. And I was strengthened as the hand of the LORD my God was upon me, and I GATHERED together out of Israel chief men to go up with me. EZRA 8 15 And I GATHERED them together to the river that runneth to Ahava; and there abode we in tents three days: and I viewed the people, and the priests, and found there none of the sons of Levi. EZRA 10 9 Then all the men of Judah and Benjamin GATHERED themselves together unto Jerusalem within three days. It was the ninth month, on the twentieth day of the month; and all the people sat in the street of the house of God, trembling because of this matter, and for the great rain. NEHEMIAH 5 16 Yea, also I continued in the work of this wall, neither bought we any land: and all my servants were GATHERED thither unto the work. NEHEMIAH 6 11 And I said, Should such a man as I FLEE? and who is there, that, being as I am, would go into the temple to save his life? I will not go in. NEHEMIAH 8 1 And all the people GATHERED themselves together as one man into the street that was before the water gate; and they spake unto Ezra the scribe to bring the book of the law of Moses, which the LORD had commanded to Israel. 13 And on the second day were GATHERED together the chief of the fathers of all the people, the priests, and the Levites, unto Ezra the scribe, even to understand the words of the law. 17 And all the congregation of them that were come again out of the captivity made booths, and sat under the booths: for since the days of Jeshua the son of Nun unto that day had not the children of Israel done so. And there was very great GLADNESS. NEHEMIAH 12 27 And at the dedication of the wall of Jerusalem they sought the Levites out of all their places, to bring them to Jerusalem, to keep the dedication with GLADNESS, both with thanksgivings, and with singing, with cymbals, psalteries, and with harps. 28 And the sons of the singers GATHERED themselves together, both out of the plain country round about Jerusalem, and from the villages of Netophathi; NEHEMIAH 13 11 Then contended I with the rulers, and said, Why is the house of God forsaken? And I GATHERED them together, and set them in their place. ESTHER 2 8 So it came to pass, when the king's commandment and his decree was heard, and when many maidens were GATHERED together unto Shushan the palace, to the custody of Hegai, that Esther was brought also unto the king's house, to the custody of Hegai, keeper of the women. 19 And when the virgins were GATHERED together the second time, then Mordecai sat in the king's gate. ESTHER 8 16 The Jews had light, and GLADNESS, and joy, and honour. 17 And in every province, and in every city, whithersoever the king's commandment and his decree came, the Jews had joy and GLADNESS, a feast and a good day. And many of the people of the land became Jews; for the fear of the Jews fell upon them. ESTHER 9 2 The Jews GATHERED themselves together in their cities throughout all the provinces of the king Ahasuerus, to lay hand on such as sought their hurt: and no man could withstand them; for the fear of them fell upon all people. 15 For the Jews that were in Shushan GATHERED themselves together on the fourteenth day also of the month Adar, and slew three hundred men at Shushan; but on the prey they laid not their hand. 16 But the other Jews that were in the king's provinces GATHERED themselves together, and stood for their lives, and had rest from their enemies, and slew of their foes seventy and five thousand, but they laid not their hands on the prey, 17 On the thirteenth day of the month Adar; and on the fourteenth day of the same rested they, and made it a day of feasting and GLADNESS. 18 But the Jews that were at Shushan assembled together on the thirteenth day thereof, and on the fourteenth thereof; and on the fifteenth day of the same they rested, and made it a day of feasting and GLADNESS. 19 Therefore the Jews of the villages, that dwelt in the unwalled towns, made the fourteenth day of the month Adar a day of GLADNESS and feasting, and a good day, and of sending portions one to another. JOB 27 19 The rich man shall lie down, but he shall not be GATHERED: he openeth his eyes, and he is not. 22 For God shall cast upon him, and not spare: he would fain FLEE out of his hand. JOB 30 7 Among the bushes they brayed; under the nettles they were GATHERED together. 10 They abhor me, they FLEE far from me, and spare not to spit in my face. JOB 31 20 If his loins have not blessed me, and if he were not warmed with the FLEECE of my sheep; JOB 41 28 The arrow cannot make him FLEE: slingstones are turned with him into stubble. PSALM 4 7 Thou hast put GLADNESS in my heart, more than in the time that their corn and their wine increased. PSALM 30 11 Thou hast turned for me my mourning into dancing: thou hast put off my sackcloth, and girded me with GLADNESS; PSALM 35 15 But in mine adversity they rejoiced, and GATHERED themselves together: yea, the abjects GATHERED themselves together against me, and I knew it not; they did tear me, and ceased not: PSALM 45 7 Thou lovest righteousness, and hatest wickedness: therefore God, thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of GLADNESS above thy fellows. 15 With GLADNESS and rejoicing shall they be brought: they shall enter into the king's palace. --MORE-- |
