JOHN 14 2 In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare A place for you. 3 And if I go and prepare A place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I AM, there ye may be also. 6 Jesus saith unto him, I AM the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. 10 Believest thou not that I AM in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works. 11 Believe me that I AM in the Father, and the Father in me: or else believe me for the very works' sake. 19 Yet A little while, and the world seeth me no more; but ye see me: because I live, ye shall live also. 20 At that day ye shall know that I AM in my Father, and ye in me, and I in you. 23 Jesus answered and said unto him, If A man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him. JOHN 15 1 I AM the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman. 5 I AM the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing. 6 If A man abide not in me, he is cast forth as A branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned. 13 Greater love hath no man than this, that A man lay down his life for his friends. 25 But this cometh to pass, that the word might be fulfilled that is written in their law, They hated me without A cause. JOHN 16 16 A little while, and ye shall not see me: and again, A little while, and ye shall see me, because I go to the Father. 17 Then said some of his disciples among themselves, What is this that he saith unto us, A little while, and ye shall not see me: and again, A little while, and ye shall see me: and, Because I go to the Father? 18 They said therefore, What is this that he saith, A little while? we cannot tell what he saith. 19 Now Jesus knew that they were desirous to ask him, and said unto them, Do ye enquire among yourselves of that I said, A little while, and ye shall not see me: and again, A little while, and ye shall see me? 21 A woman when she is in travail hath sorrow, because her hour is come: but as soon as she is delivered of the child, she remembereth no more the anguish, for joy that A man is born into the world. 28 I came forth from the Father, and AM come into the world: again, I leave the world, and go to the Father. 32 Behold, the hour cometh, yea, is now come, that ye shall be scattered, every man to his own, and shall leave me alone: and yet I AM not alone, because the Father is with me. JOHN 17 10 And all mine are thine, and thine are mine; and I AM glorified in them. 11 And now I AM no more in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to thee. Holy Father, keep through thine own name those whom thou hast given me, that they may be one, as we are. 14 I have given them thy word; and the world hath hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I AM not of the world. 16 They are not of the world, even as I AM not of the world. 24 Father, I will that they also, whom thou hast given me, be with me where I AM; that they may behold my glory, which thou hast given me: for thou lovedst me before the foundation of the world. JOHN 18 1 When Jesus had spoken these words, he went forth with his disciples over the brook Cedron, where was A garden, into the which he entered, and his disciples. 3 Judas then, having received A band of men and officers from the chief priests and Pharisees, cometh thither with lanterns and torches and weapons. 5 They answered him, Jesus of Nazareth. Jesus saith unto them, I AM he. And Judas also, which betrayed him, stood with them. 6 As soon then as he had said unto them, I AM he, they went backward, and fell to the ground. 8 Jesus answered, I have told you that I AM he: if therefore ye seek me, let these go their way: 10 Then Simon Peter having A sword drew it, and smote the high priest's servant, and cut off his right ear. The servant's name was Malchus. 17 Then saith the damsel that kept the door unto Peter, Art not thou also one of this man's disciples? He saith, I AM not. 18 And the servants and officers stood there, who had made A fire of coals; for it was cold: and they warmed themselves: and Peter stood with them, and warmed himself. 25 And Simon Peter stood and warmed himself. They said therefore unto him, Art not thou also one of his disciples? He denied it, and said, I AM not. 30 They answered and said unto him, If he were not A malefactor, we would not have delivered him up unto thee. 35 Pilate answered, AM I A Jew? Thine own nation and the chief priests have delivered thee unto me: what hast thou done? 37 Pilate therefore said unto him, Art thou A king then? Jesus answered, Thou sayest that I AM A king. To this end was I born, and for this cause came I into the world, that I should bear witness unto the truth. Every one that is of the truth heareth my voice. 39 But ye have A custom, that I should release unto you one at the passover: will ye therefore that I release unto you the King of the Jews? 40 Then cried they all again, saying, Not this man, but Barabbas. Now Barabbas was A robber. JOHN 19 2 And the soldiers platted A crown of thorns, and put it on his head, and they put on him A purple robe, 7 The Jews answered him, We have A law, and by our law he ought to die, because he made himself the Son of God. 12 And from thenceforth Pilate sought to release him: but the Jews cried out, saying, If thou let this man go, thou art not Caesar's friend: whosoever maketh himself A king speaketh against Caesar. 13 When Pilate therefore heard that saying, he brought Jesus forth, and sat down in the judgment seat in A place that is called the Pavement, but in the Hebrew, Gabbatha. 17 And he bearing his cross went forth into A place called the place of A skull, which is called in the Hebrew Golgotha: 19 And Pilate wrote A title, and put it on the cross. And the writing was JESUS OF NAZARETH THE KING OF THE JEWS. 21 Then said the chief priests of the Jews to Pilate, Write not, The King of the Jews; but that he said, I AM King of the Jews. 23 Then the soldiers, when they had crucified Jesus, took his garments, and made four parts, to every soldier A part; and also his coat: now the coat was without seam, woven from the top throughout. 29 Now there was set A vessel full of vinegar: and they filled A spunge with vinegar, and put it upon hyssop, and put it to his mouth. 34 But one of the soldiers with A spear pierced his side, and forthwith came there out blood and water. 36 For these things were done, that the scripture should be fulfilled, A bone of him shall not be broken. 38 And after this Joseph of Arimathaea, being A disciple of Jesus, but secretly for fear of the Jews, besought Pilate that he might take away the body of Jesus: and Pilate gave him leave. He came therefore, and took the body of Jesus. 39 And there came also Nicodemus, which at the first came to Jesus by night, and brought A mixture of myrrh and aloes, about an hundred pound weight. 41 Now in the place where he was crucified there was A garden; and in the garden A new sepulchre, wherein was never man yet laid. --MORE-- |
