DEUTERONOMY 18 4 The firstfruit also of thy corn, of thy wine, and of thine oil, and the first of the FLEECE of thy sheep, shalt thou give him. DEUTERONOMY 24 17 Thou shalt not pervert the judgment of the stranger, nor of the FATHERLESS; nor take a widow's raiment to pledge: 19 When thou cuttest down thine harvest in thy field, and hast forgot a sheaf in the field, thou shalt not go again to fetch it: it shall be for the stranger, for the FATHERLESS, and for the widow: that the LORD thy God may bless thee in all the work of thine hands. 20 When thou beatest thine olive tree, thou shalt not go over the boughs again: it shall be for the stranger, for the FATHERLESS, and for the widow. 21 When thou gatherest the grapes of thy vineyard, thou shalt not glean it afterward: it shall be for the stranger, for the FATHERLESS, and for the widow. DEUTERONOMY 26 12 When thou hast made an end of tithing all the tithes of thine increase the third year, which is the year of tithing, and hast given it unto the Levite, the stranger, the FATHERLESS, and the widow, that they may eat within thy gates, and be filled; 13 Then thou shalt say before the LORD thy God, I have brought away the hallowed things out of mine house, and also have given them unto the Levite, and unto the stranger, to the FATHERLESS, and to the widow, according to all thy commandments which thou hast commanded me: I have not transgressed thy commandments, neither have I forgotten them. DEUTERONOMY 27 19 Cursed be he that perverteth the judgment of the stranger, FATHERLESS, and widow. And all the people shall say, Amen. JUDGES 6 37 Behold, I will put a FLEECE of wool in the floor; and if the dew be on the FLEECE only, and it be dry upon all the earth beside, then shall I know that thou wilt save Israel by mine hand, as thou hast said. 38 And it was so: for he rose up early on the morrow, and thrust the FLEECE together, and wringed the dew out of the FLEECE, a bowl full of water. 39 And Gideon said unto God, Let not thine anger be hot against me, and I will speak but this once: let me prove, I pray thee, but this once with the FLEECE; let it now be dry only upon the FLEECE, and upon all the ground let there be dew. 40 And God did so that night: for it was dry upon the FLEECE only, and there was dew on all the ground. 2 SAMUEL 22 2 And he said, The LORD is my rock, and my FORTRESS, and my deliverer; JOB 6 27 Yea, ye overwhelm the FATHERLESS, and ye dig a pit for your friend. JOB 22 9 Thou hast sent widows away empty, and the arms of the FATHERLESS have been broken. JOB 24 3 They drive away the ass of the FATHERLESS, they take the widow's ox for a pledge. 9 They pluck the FATHERLESS from the breast, and take a pledge of the poor. JOB 29 12 Because I delivered the poor that cried, and the FATHERLESS, and him that had none to help him. JOB 31 17 Or have eaten my morsel myself alone, and the FATHERLESS hath not eaten thereof; 20 If his loins have not blessed me, and if he were not warmed with the FLEECE of my sheep; 21 If I have lifted up my hand against the FATHERLESS, when I saw my help in the gate: PSALM 10 14 Thou hast seen it; for thou beholdest mischief and spite, to requite it with thy hand: the poor committeth himself unto thee; thou art the helper of the FATHERLESS. 18 To judge the FATHERLESS and the oppressed, that the man of the earth may no more oppress. PSALM 18 2 The LORD is my rock, and my FORTRESS, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower. PSALM 31 3 For thou art my rock and my FORTRESS; therefore for thy name's sake lead me, and guide me. PSALM 57 7 My heart is FIXED, O God, my heart is FIXED: I will sing and give praise. PSALM 68 5 A father of the FATHERLESS, and a judge of the widows, is God in his holy habitation. PSALM 71 3 Be thou my strong habitation, whereunto I may continually resort: thou hast given commandment to save me; for thou art my rock and my FORTRESS. PSALM 112 7 He shall not be afraid of evil tidings: his heart is FIXED, trusting in the LORD. PSALM 144 2 My goodness, and my FORTRESS; my high tower, and my deliverer; my shield, and he in whom I trust; who subdueth my people under me. PSALM 146 9 The LORD preserveth the strangers; he relieveth the FATHERLESS and widow: but the way of the wicked he turneth upside down. PROVERBS 23 10 Remove not the old landmark; and enter not into the fields of the FATHERLESS: ISAIAH 1 17 Learn to do well; seek judgment, relieve the oppressed, judge the FATHERLESS, plead for the widow. 23 Thy princes are rebellious, and companions of thieves: every one loveth gifts, and followeth after rewards: they judge not the FATHERLESS, neither doth the cause of the widow come unto them. ISAIAH 9 17 Therefore the LORD shall have no joy in their young men, neither shall have mercy on their FATHERLESS and widows: for every one is an hypocrite and an evildoer, and every mouth speaketh folly. For all this his anger is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still. ISAIAH 10 2 To turn aside the needy from judgment, and to take away the right from the poor of my people, that widows may be their prey, and that they may rob the FATHERLESS! ISAIAH 17 3 The FORTRESS also shall cease from Ephraim, and the kingdom from Damascus, and the remnant of Syria: they shall be as the glory of the children of Israel, saith the LORD of hosts. ISAIAH 25 12 And the FORTRESS of the high fort of thy walls shall he bring down, lay low, and bring to the ground, even to the dust. JEREMIAH 5 28 They are waxen fat, they shine: yea, they overpass the deeds of the wicked: they judge not the cause, the cause of the FATHERLESS, yet they prosper; and the right of the needy do they not judge. JEREMIAH 6 27 I have set thee for a tower and a FORTRESS among my people, that thou mayest know and try their way. JEREMIAH 7 6 If ye oppress not the stranger, the FATHERLESS, and the widow, and shed not innocent blood in this place, neither walk after other gods to your hurt: JEREMIAH 10 17 Gather up thy wares out of the land, O inhabitant of the FORTRESS. JEREMIAH 16 19 O LORD, my strength, and my FORTRESS, and my refuge in the day of affliction, the Gentiles shall come unto thee from the ends of the earth, and shall say, Surely our fathers have inherited lies, vanity, and things wherein there is no profit. JEREMIAH 22 3 Thus saith the LORD; Execute ye judgment and righteousness, and deliver the spoiled out of the hand of the oppressor: and do no wrong, do no violence to the stranger, the FATHERLESS, nor the widow, neither shed innocent blood in this place. --MORE-- |
