DEUTERONOMY 34 4 And the LORD said unto him, This is the land which I SWARE unto Abraham, unto Isaac, and unto Jacob, saying, I will give it unto thy seed: I have caused thee to see it with thine eyes, but thou shalt not go over thither. JOSHUA 1 6 Be strong and of a good courage: for unto this people shalt thou divide for an inheritance the land, which I SWARE unto their fathers to give them. 9 Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not AFRAID, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest. JOSHUA 5 6 For the children of Israel walked forty years in the wilderness, till all the people that were men of war, which came out of Egypt, were consumed, because they obeyed not the voice of the LORD: unto whom the LORD SWARE that he would not shew them the land, which the LORD SWARE unto their fathers that he would give us, a land that floweth with milk and honey. JOSHUA 6 22 But Joshua had said unto the two men that had spied out the country, Go into the harlot's house, and bring out thence the woman, and all that she hath, as ye SWARE unto her. JOSHUA 9 15 And Joshua made peace with them, and made a league with them, to let them live: and the princes of the congregation SWARE unto them. 20 This we will do to them; we will even let them live, lest wrath be upon us, because of the oath which we SWARE unto them. 24 And they answered Joshua, and said, Because it was certainly told thy servants, how that the LORD thy God commanded his servant Moses to give you all the land, and to destroy all the inhabitants of the land from before you, therefore we were sore AFRAID of our lives because of you, and have done this thing. JOSHUA 11 6 And the LORD said unto Joshua, Be not AFRAID because of them: for to morrow about this time will I deliver them up all slain before Israel: thou shalt hough their horses, and burn their chariots with fire. JOSHUA 14 9 And Moses SWARE on that day, saying, Surely the land whereon thy feet have trodden shall be thine inheritance, and thy children's for ever, because thou hast wholly followed the LORD my God. JOSHUA 21 43 And the LORD gave unto Israel all the land which he SWARE to give unto their fathers; and they possessed it, and dwelt therein. 44 And the LORD gave them rest round about, according to all that he SWARE unto their fathers: and there stood not a man of all their enemies before them; the LORD delivered all their enemies into their hand. JUDGES 2 1 And an angel of the LORD came up from Gilgal to Bochim, and said, I made you to go up out of Egypt, and have brought you unto the land which I SWARE unto your fathers; and I said, I will never break my covenant with you. JUDGES 7 3 Now therefore go to, proclaim in the ears of the people, saying, Whosoever is fearful and AFRAID, let him return and depart early from mount Gilead. And there returned of the people twenty and two thousand; and there remained ten thousand. RUTH 3 8 And it came to pass at midnight, that the man was AFRAID, and turned himself: and, behold, a woman lay at his feet. 1 SAMUEL 4 7 And the Philistines were AFRAID, for they said, God is come into the camp. And the woman said unto Saul, I saw gods ascending out of the earth. 20 Then Saul fell straightway all along on the earth, and was sore AFRAID, because of the words of Samuel: and there was no strength in him; for he had eaten no bread all the day, nor all the night. 1 SAMUEL 31 4 Then said Saul unto his armourbearer, Draw thy sword, and thrust me through therewith; lest these uncircumcised come and thrust me through, and abuse me. But his armourbearer would not; for he was sore AFRAID. Therefore Saul took a sword, and fell upon it. 2 SAMUEL 1 14 And David said unto him, How wast thou not AFRAID to stretch forth thine hand to destroy the LORD's anointed? 2 SAMUEL 3 35 And when all the people came to cause David to eat meat while it was yet day, David SWARE, saying, So do God to me, and more also, if I taste bread, or ought else, till the sun be down. 2 SAMUEL 6 9 And David was AFRAID of the LORD that day, and said, How shall the ark of the LORD come to me? 2 SAMUEL 14 15 Now therefore that I am come to speak of this thing unto my lord the king, it is because the people have made me AFRAID: and thy handmaid said, I will now speak unto the king; it may be that the king will perform the request of his handmaid. 2 SAMUEL 17 2 And I will come upon him while he is weary and weak handed, and will make him AFRAID: and all the people that are with him shall flee; and I will smite the king only: 2 SAMUEL 19 23 Therefore the king said unto Shimei, Thou shalt not die. And the king SWARE unto him. 2 SAMUEL 21 17 But Abishai the son of Zeruiah succoured him, and smote the Philistine, and killed him.
