ISAIAH 41 2 Who raised up the righteous man from the east, called him to his foot, gave the nations before him, and made him rule over kings? he gave them as the dust to his SWORD, and as driven stubble to his bow. 5 The isles saw it, and feared; the ends of the earth were AFRAID, drew near, and came. ISAIAH 44 8 Fear ye not, neither be AFRAID: have not I told thee from that time, and have declared it? ye are even my witnesses. Is there a God beside me? yea, there is no God; I know not any. ISAIAH 49 2 And he hath made my mouth like a sharp SWORD; in the shadow of his hand hath he hid me, and made me a polished shaft; in his quiver hath he hid me; ISAIAH 51 7 Hearken unto me, ye that know righteousness, the people in whose heart is my law; fear ye not the reproach of men, neither be ye AFRAID of their revilings. 12 I, even I, am he that comforteth you: who art thou, that thou shouldest be AFRAID of a man that shall die, and of the son of man which shall be made as grass; 19 These two things are come unto thee; who shall be sorry for thee? desolation, and destruction, and the famine, and the SWORD: by whom shall I comfort thee? ISAIAH 57 11 And of whom hast thou been AFRAID or feared, that thou hast lied, and hast not remembered me, nor laid it to thy heart? have not I held my peace even of old, and thou fearest me not? ISAIAH 61 10 I will greatly rejoice in the LORD, my soul shall be joyful in my God; for he hath clothed me with the garments of salvation, he hath covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decketh himself with ornaments, and as a bride ADORNETH herself with her jewels. ISAIAH 65 12 Therefore will I number you to the SWORD, and ye shall all bow down to the slaughter: because when I called, ye did not answer; when I spake, ye did not hear; but did evil before mine eyes, and did choose that wherein I delighted not. ISAIAH 66 16 For by fire and by his SWORD will the LORD plead with all flesh: and the slain of the LORD shall be many. JEREMIAH 1 8 Be not AFRAID of their faces: for I am with thee to deliver thee, saith the LORD. JEREMIAH 2 12 Be astonished, O ye heavens, at this, and be horribly AFRAID, be ye very desolate, saith the LORD. 30 In vain have I smitten your children; they received no correction: your own SWORD hath devoured your prophets, like a destroying lion. JEREMIAH 4 10 Then said I, Ah, Lord GOD! surely thou hast greatly deceived this people and Jerusalem, saying, Ye shall have peace; whereas the SWORD reacheth unto the soul. JEREMIAH 5 12 They have belied the LORD, and said, It is not he; neither shall evil come upon us; neither shall we see SWORD nor famine: 17 And they shall eat up thine harvest, and thy bread, which thy sons and thy daughters should eat: they shall eat up thy flocks and thine herds: they shall eat up thy vines and thy fig trees: they shall impoverish thy fenced cities, wherein thou trustedst, with the SWORD. JEREMIAH 6 25 Go not forth into the field, nor walk by the way; for the SWORD of the enemy and fear is on every side. JEREMIAH 9 16 I will scatter them also among the heathen, whom neither they nor their fathers have known: and I will send a SWORD after them, till I have consumed them. JEREMIAH 10 5 They are upright as the palm tree, but speak not: they must needs be borne, because they cannot go. Be not AFRAID of them; for they cannot do evil, neither also is it in them to do good. JEREMIAH 11 22 Therefore thus saith the LORD of hosts, Behold, I will punish them: the young men shall die by the SWORD; their sons and their daughters shall die by famine: JEREMIAH 12 12 The spoilers are come upon all high places through the wilderness: for the SWORD of the LORD shall devour from the one end of the land even to the other end of the land: no flesh shall have peace. JEREMIAH 14 12 When they fast, I will not hear their cry; and when they offer burnt offering and an oblation, I will not accept them: but I will consume them by the SWORD, and by the famine, and by the pestilence. 13 Then said I, Ah, Lord GOD! behold, the prophets say unto them, Ye shall not see the SWORD, neither shall ye have famine; but I will give you assured peace in this place. 15 Therefore thus saith the LORD concerning the prophets that prophesy in my name, and I sent them not, yet they say, SWORD and famine shall not be in this land; By SWORD and famine shall those prophets be consumed. 16 And the people to whom they prophesy shall be cast out in the streets of Jerusalem because of the famine and the SWORD; and they shall have none to bury them, them, their wives, nor their sons, nor their daughters: for I will pour their wickedness upon them. 18 If I go forth into the field, then behold the slain with the SWORD! and if I enter into the city, then behold them that are sick with famine! yea, both the prophet and the priest go about into a land that they know not. JEREMIAH 15 2 And it shall come to pass, if they say unto thee, Whither shall we go forth? then thou shalt tell them, Thus saith the LORD; Such as are for death, to death; and such as are for the SWORD, to the SWORD; and such as are for the famine, to the famine; and such as are for the captivity, to the captivity. 3 And I will appoint over them four kinds, saith the LORD: the SWORD to slay, and the dogs to tear, and the fowls of the heaven, and the beasts of the earth, to devour and destroy. 9 She that hath borne seven languisheth: she hath given up the ghost; her sun is gone down while it was yet day: she hath been ashamed and confounded: and the residue of them will I deliver to the SWORD before their enemies, saith the LORD. JEREMIAH 16 4 They shall die of grievous deaths; they shall not be lamented; neither shall they be buried; but they shall be as dung upon the face of the earth: and they shall be consumed by the SWORD, and by famine; and their carcases shall be meat for the fowls of heaven, and for the beasts of the earth. JEREMIAH 18 21 Therefore deliver up their children to the famine, and pour out their blood by the force of the SWORD; and let their wives be bereaved of their children, and be widows; and let their men be put to death; let their young men be slain by the SWORD in battle. JEREMIAH 19 7 And I will make void the counsel of Judah and Jerusalem in this place; and I will cause them to fall by the SWORD before their enemies, and by the hands of them that seek their lives: and their carcases will I give to be meat for the fowls of the heaven, and for the beasts of the earth. JEREMIAH 20 4 For thus saith the LORD, Behold, I will make thee a terror to thyself, and to all thy friends: and they shall fall by the SWORD of their enemies, and thine eyes shall behold it: and I will give all Judah into the hand of the king of Babylon, and he shall carry them captive into Babylon, and shall slay them with the SWORD. JEREMIAH 21 7 And afterward, saith the LORD, I will deliver Zedekiah king of Judah, and his servants, and the people, and such as are left in this city from the pestilence, from the SWORD, and from the famine, into the hand of Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon, and into the hand of their enemies, and into the hand of those that seek their life: and he shall smite them with the edge of the SWORD; he shall not spare them, neither have pity, nor have mercy. 9 He that abideth in this city shall die by the SWORD, and by the famine, and by the pestilence: but he that goeth out, and falleth to the Chaldeans that besiege you, he shall live, and his life shall be unto him for a prey. JEREMIAH 24 10 And I will send the SWORD, the famine, and the pestilence, among them, till they be consumed from off the land that I gave unto them and to their fathers. JEREMIAH 25 16 And they shall drink, and be moved, and be mad, because of the SWORD that I will send among them. 27 Therefore thou shalt say unto them, Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Drink ye, and be drunken, and spue, and fall, and rise no more, because of the SWORD which I will send among you. 29 For, lo, I begin to bring evil on the city which is called by my name, and should ye be utterly unpunished? Ye shall not be unpunished: for I will call for a SWORD upon all the inhabitants of the earth, saith the LORD of hosts. 31 A noise shall come even to the ends of the earth; for the LORD hath a controversy with the nations, he will plead with all flesh; he will give them that are wicked to the SWORD, saith the LORD. JEREMIAH 26 21 And when Jehoiakim the king, with all his mighty men, and all the princes, heard his words, the king sought to put him to death: but when Urijah heard it, he was AFRAID, and fled, and went into Egypt; 23 And they fetched forth Urijah out of Egypt, and brought him unto Jehoiakim the king; who slew him with the SWORD, and cast his dead body into the graves of the common people. JEREMIAH 27 8 And it shall come to pass, that the nation and kingdom which will not serve the same Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon, and that will not put their neck under the yoke of the king of Babylon, that nation will I punish, saith the LORD, with the SWORD, and with the famine, and with the pestilence, until I have consumed them by his hand. 13 Why will ye die, thou and thy people, by the SWORD, by the famine, and by the pestilence, as the LORD hath spoken against the nation that will not serve the king of Babylon? JEREMIAH 29 17 Thus saith the LORD of hosts; Behold, I will send upon them the SWORD, the famine, and the pestilence, and will make them like vile figs, that cannot be eaten, they are so evil. 18 And I will persecute them with the SWORD, with the famine, and with the pestilence, and will deliver them to be removed to all the kingdoms of the earth, to be a curse, and an astonishment, and an hissing, and a reproach, among all the nations whither I have driven them: JEREMIAH 30 10 Therefore fear thou not, O my servant Jacob, saith the LORD; neither be dismayed, O Israel: for, lo, I will save thee from afar, and thy seed from the land of their captivity; and Jacob shall return, and shall be in rest, and be quiet, and none shall make him AFRAID. JEREMIAH 31 2 Thus saith the LORD, The people which were left of the SWORD found grace in the wilderness; even Israel, when I went to cause him to rest. JEREMIAH 32 24 Behold the mounts, they are come unto the city to take it; and the city is given into the hand of the Chaldeans, that fight against it, because of the SWORD, and of the famine, and of the pestilence: and what thou hast spoken is come to pass; and, behold, thou seest it. 36 And now therefore thus saith the LORD, the God of Israel, concerning this city, whereof ye say, It shall be delivered into the hand of the king of Babylon by the SWORD, and by the famine, and by the pestilence; --MORE-- |
