JEREMIAH 13 10 This evil people, which refuse to hear my words, which walk in the imagination of their heart, and walk after other GODS, to serve them, and to worship them, shall even be as this girdle, which is good for nothing. JEREMIAH 16 11 Then shalt thou say unto them, Because your fathers have forsaken me, saith the LORD, and have walked after other GODS, and have served them, and have worshipped them, and have forsaken me, and have not kept my law; 13 Therefore will I cast you out of this land into a land that ye know not, neither ye nor your fathers; and there shall ye serve other GODS day and night; where I will not shew you favour. 20 Shall a man make GODS unto himself, and they are no GODS? JEREMIAH 21 14 But I will punish you according to the fruit of your doings, saith the LORD: and I will kindle a fire in the FOREST thereof, and it shall devour all things round about it. JEREMIAH 22 9 Then they shall answer, Because they have forsaken the covenant of the LORD their God, and worshipped other GODS, and served them. JEREMIAH 25 6 And go not after other GODS to serve them, and to worship them, and provoke me not to anger with the works of your hands; and I will do you no hurt. JEREMIAH 26 18 Micah the Morasthite prophesied in the days of Hezekiah king of Judah, and spake to all the people of Judah, saying, Thus saith the LORD of hosts; Zion shall be plowed like a field, and Jerusalem shall become heaps, and the mountain of the house as the high places of a FOREST. JEREMIAH 44 3 Because of their wickedness which they have committed to provoke me to anger, in that they went to burn incense, and to serve other GODS, whom they knew not, neither they, ye, nor your fathers. 5 But they hearkened not, nor inclined their ear to turn from their wickedness, to burn no incense unto other GODS. 8 In that ye provoke me unto wrath with the works of your hands, burning incense unto other GODS in the land of Egypt, whither ye be gone to dwell, that ye might cut yourselves off, and that ye might be a curse and a reproach among all the nations of the earth? 15 Then all the men which knew that their wives had burned incense unto other GODS, and all the women that stood by, a great multitude, even all the people that dwelt in the land of Egypt, in Pathros, answered Jeremiah, saying, JEREMIAH 46 23 They shall cut down her FOREST, saith the LORD, though it cannot be searched; because they are more than the grasshoppers, and are innumerable. 25 The LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, saith; Behold, I will punish the multitude of No, and Pharaoh, and Egypt, with their GODS, and their kings; even Pharaoh, and all them that trust in him: JEREMIAH 48 35 Moreover I will cause to cease in Moab, saith the LORD, him that offereth in the high places, and him that burneth incense to his GODS. DANIEL 3 12 There are certain Jews whom thou hast set over the affairs of the province of Babylon, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego; these men, O king, have not regarded thee: they serve not thy GODS, nor worship the golden image which thou hast set up. 14 Nebuchadnezzar spake and said unto them, Is it true, O Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, do not ye serve my GODS, nor worship the golden image which I have set up? 18 But if not, be it known unto thee, O king, that we will not serve thy GODS, nor worship the golden image which thou hast set up. DANIEL 4 8 But at the last Daniel came in before me, whose name was Belteshazzar, according to the name of my God, and in whom is the spirit of the holy GODS: and before him I told the dream, saying, 9 O Belteshazzar, master of the magicians, because I know that the spirit of the holy GODS is in thee, and no secret troubleth thee, tell me the visions of my dream that I have seen, and the interpretation thereof. 18 This dream I king Nebuchadnezzar have seen. Now thou, O Belteshazzar, declare the interpretation thereof, forasmuch as all the wise men of my kingdom are not able to make known unto me the interpretation: but thou art able; for the spirit of the holy GODS is in thee. DANIEL 5 4 They drank wine, and praised the GODS of gold, and of silver, of brass, of iron, of wood, and of stone. 11 There is a man in thy kingdom, in whom is the spirit of the holy GODS; and in the days of thy father light and understanding and wisdom, like the wisdom of the GODS, was found in him; whom the king Nebuchadnezzar thy father, the king, I say, thy father, made master of the magicians, astrologers, Chaldeans, and soothsayers; 14 I have even heard of thee, that the spirit of the GODS is in thee, and that light and understanding and excellent wisdom is found in thee. 23 But hast lifted up thyself against the Lord of heaven; and they have brought the vessels of his house before thee, and thou, and thy lords, thy wives, and thy concubines, have drunk wine in them; and thou hast praised the GODS of silver, and gold, of brass, iron, wood, and stone, which see not, nor hear, nor know: and the God in whose hand thy breath is, and whose are all thy ways, hast thou not glorified: DANIEL 11 8 And shall also carry captives into Egypt their GODS, with their princes, and with their precious vessels of silver and of gold; and he shall continue more years than the king of the north. 36 And the king shall do according to his will; and he shall exalt himself, and magnify himself above every god, and shall speak marvellous things against the God of GODS, and shall prosper till the indignation be accomplished: for that that is determined shall be done. HOSEA 2 12 And I will destroy her vines and her fig trees, whereof she hath said, These are my rewards that my lovers have given me: and I will make them a FOREST, and the beasts of the field shall eat them. HOSEA 3 1 Then said the LORD unto me, Go yet, love a woman beloved of her friend, yet an adulteress, according to the love of the LORD toward the children of Israel, who look to other GODS, and love flagons of wine.
