AMOS 2 1 Thus saith the LORD; For three transgressions of Moab, and for four, I will not turn away the punishment THEREOF; because he burned the bones of the king of Edom into lime: 3 And I will cut off the judge from the midst THEREOF, and will slay all the princes THEREOF with him, saith the LORD. 4 Thus saith the LORD; For three transgressions of Judah, and for four, I will not turn away the punishment THEREOF; because they have despised the law of the LORD, and have not kept his commandments, and their lies caused them to err, after the which their fathers have walked: 6 Thus saith the LORD; For three transgressions of Israel, and for four, I will not turn away the punishment THEREOF; because they sold the righteous for silver, and the poor for a pair of shoes; AMOS 3 6 Shall a trumpet be blown in the city, and the people not be AFRAID? shall there be evil in a city, and the LORD hath not done it? 9 Publish in the palaces at Ashdod, and in the palaces in the land of Egypt, and say, Assemble yourselves upon the mountains of Samaria, and behold the great tumults in the midst THEREOF, and the oppressed in the midst THEREOF. AMOS 8 10 And I will turn your feasts into mourning, and all your songs into lamentation; and I will bring up sackcloth upon all loins, and baldness upon every head; and I will make it as the mourning of an only son, and the end THEREOF as a bitter day. AMOS 9 11 In that day will I raise up the tabernacle of David that is fallen, and close up the breaches THEREOF; and I will raise up his ruins, and I will build it as in the days of old: 14 And I will bring again the captivity of my people of Israel, and they shall build the waste cities, and inhabit them; and they shall plant vineyards, and drink the wine THEREOF; they shall also make gardens, and eat the fruit of them. JONAH 1 3 But Jonah rose up to flee unto Tarshish from the presence of the LORD, and went down to Joppa; and he found a ship going to Tarshish: so he paid the fare THEREOF, and went down into it, to go with them unto Tarshish from the presence of the LORD. 5 Then the mariners were AFRAID, and cried every man unto his god, and cast forth the wares that were in the ship into the sea, to lighten it of them. But Jonah was gone down into the sides of the ship; and he lay, and was fast asleep. 10 Then were the men exceedingly AFRAID, and said unto him. Why hast thou done this? For the men knew that he fled from the presence of the LORD, because he had told them. MICAH 1 6 Therefore I will make Samaria as an heap of the field, and as plantings of a vineyard: and I will pour down the stones THEREOF into the valley, and I will discover the foundations THEREOF. 7 And all the graven images THEREOF shall be beaten to pieces, and all the hires THEREOF shall be burned with the fire, and all the idols THEREOF will I lay desolate: for she gathered it of the hire of an harlot, and they shall return to the hire of an harlot. MICAH 3 11 The heads THEREOF judge for reward, and the priests THEREOF teach for hire, and the prophets THEREOF divine for money: yet will they lean upon the LORD, and say, Is not the LORD among us? none evil can come upon us. MICAH 4 4 But they shall sit every man under his vine and under his fig tree; and none shall make them AFRAID: for the mouth of the LORD of hosts hath spoken it. MICAH 5 6 And they shall waste the land of Assyria with the sword, and the land of Nimrod in the entrances THEREOF: thus shall he deliver us from the Assyrian, when he cometh into our land, and when he treadeth within our borders. MICAH 6 12 For the rich men THEREOF are full of violence, and the inhabitants THEREOF have spoken lies, and their tongue is deceitful in their mouth. 16 For the statutes of Omri are kept, and all the works of the house of Ahab, and ye walk in their counsels; that I should make thee a desolation, and the inhabitants THEREOF an hissing: therefore ye shall bear the reproach of my people. MICAH 7 17 They shall lick the dust like a serpent, they shall move out of their holes like worms of the earth: they shall be AFRAID of the LORD our God, and shall fear because of thee. NAHUM 1 8 But with an overrunning flood he will make an utter end of the place THEREOF, and darkness shall pursue his enemies. NAHUM 2 5 He shall recount his worthies: they shall stumble in their walk; they shall make haste to the wall THEREOF, and the defence shall be prepared. 11 Where is the dwelling of the lions, and the feedingplace of the young lions, where the lion, even the old lion, walked, and the lion's whelp, and none made them AFRAID? HABAKKUK 2 17 For the violence of Lebanon shall cover thee, and the spoil of beasts, which made them AFRAID, because of men's blood, and for the violence of the land, of the city, and of all that dwell therein. 18 What profiteth the graven image that the maker THEREOF hath graven it; the molten image, and a teacher of lies, that the maker of his work trusteth therein, to make dumb idols? HABAKKUK 3 2 O LORD, I have heard thy speech, and was AFRAID: O LORD, revive thy work in the midst of the years, in the midst of the years make known; in wrath remember mercy. ZEPHANIAH 1 13 Therefore their goods shall become a booty, and their houses a desolation: they shall also build houses, but not inhabit them; and they shall plant vineyards, but not drink the wine THEREOF. ZEPHANIAH 3 5 The just LORD is in the midst THEREOF; he will not do iniquity: every morning doth he bring his judgment to light, he faileth not; but the unjust knoweth no shame. 13 The remnant of Israel shall not do iniquity, nor speak lies; neither shall a deceitful tongue be found in their mouth: for they shall feed and lie down, and none shall make them AFRAID. ZECHARIAH 2 2 Then said I, Whither goest thou? And he said unto me, To measure Jerusalem, to see what is the breadth THEREOF, and what is the length THEREOF. ZECHARIAH 3 9 For behold the stone that I have laid before Joshua; upon one stone shall be seven eyes: behold, I will engrave the graving THEREOF, saith the LORD of hosts, and I will remove the iniquity of that land in one day. ZECHARIAH 4 2 And said unto me, What seest thou? And I said, I have looked, and behold a candlestick all of gold, with a bowl upon the top of it, and his seven lamps thereon, and seven pipes to the seven lamps, which are upon the top THEREOF: 3 And two olive trees by it, one upon the right side of the bowl, and the other upon the left side THEREOF. 7 Who art thou, O great mountain? before Zerubbabel thou shalt become a plain: and he shall bring forth the headstone THEREOF with shoutings, crying, Grace, grace unto it. 11 Then answered I, and said unto him, What are these two olive trees upon the right side of the candlestick and upon the left side THEREOF? ZECHARIAH 5 2 And he said unto me, What seest thou? And I answered, I see a flying roll; the length THEREOF is twenty cubits, and the breadth THEREOF ten cubits. 4 I will bring it forth, saith the LORD of hosts, and it shall enter into the house of the thief, and into the house of him that sweareth falsely by my name: and it shall remain in the midst of his house, and shall consume it with the timber THEREOF and the stones THEREOF. 8 And he said, This is wickedness. And he cast it into the midst of the ephah; and he cast the weight of lead upon the mouth THEREOF. ZECHARIAH 7 7 Should ye not hear the words which the LORD hath cried by the former prophets, when Jerusalem was inhabited and in prosperity, and the cities THEREOF round about her, when men inhabited the south and the plain? ZECHARIAH 8 5 And the streets of the city shall be full of boys and girls playing in the streets THEREOF. ZECHARIAH 9 1 The burden of the word of the LORD in the land of Hadrach, and Damascus shall be the rest THEREOF: when the eyes of man, as of all the tribes of Israel, shall be toward the LORD. ZECHARIAH 14 4 And his feet shall stand in that day upon the mount of Olives, which is before Jerusalem on the east, and the mount of Olives shall cleave in the midst THEREOF toward the east and toward the west, and there shall be a very great valley; and half of the mountain shall remove toward the north, and half of it toward the south. MALACHI 1 12 But ye have profaned it, in that ye say, The table of the LORD is polluted; and the fruit THEREOF, even his meat, is contemptible. MALACHI 2 5 My covenant was with him of life and peace; and I gave them to him for the fear wherewith he feared me, and was AFRAID before my name. MATTHEW 2 16 Then Herod, when he saw that he was mocked of the wise men, was exceeding wroth, and sent forth, and slew all the children that were in Bethlehem, and in all the coasts THEREOF, from two years old and under, according to the time which he had diligently enquired of the wise men. 22 But when he heard that Archelaus did reign in Judaea in the room of his father Herod, he was AFRAID to go thither: notwithstanding, being warned of God in a dream, he turned aside into the parts of Galilee: MATTHEW 6 34 Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil THEREOF. MATTHEW 12 36 But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account THEREOF in the day of judgment. MATTHEW 13 32 Which indeed is the least of all seeds: but when it is grown, it is the greatest among herbs, and becometh a tree, so that the birds of the air come and lodge in the branches THEREOF. 44 Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto treasure hid in a field; the which when a man hath found, he hideth, and for joy THEREOF goeth and selleth all that he hath, and buyeth that field. --MORE-- |
