1 TIMOTHY 4 4 FOR every creature of God is good, and nothing to be refused, if it be received with thanksgiving: 5 FOR it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer. 8 FOR bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come. 10 FOR therefore we both labour and suffer reproach, because we trust in the living God, who is the Saviour of all men, specially of those that believe. 16 Take heed unto thyself, and unto the doctrine; continue in them: FOR in doing this thou shalt both save thyself, and them that hear thee. 1 TIMOTHY 5 4 But if any widow have children or nephews, let them learn first to shew piety at home, and to requite their parents: FOR that is good and acceptable before God. 8 But if any provide not FOR his own, and specially FOR those of his own house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel. 10 Well reported of FOR good works; if she have brought up children, if she have lodged strangers, if she have washed the saints' feet, if she have relieved the afflicted, if she have diligently followed every good work. 11 But the younger widows refuse: FOR when they have begun to wax wanton against Christ, they will marry; 15 FOR some are already turned aside after Satan. 18 FOR the scripture saith, Thou shalt not muzzle the ox that treadeth out the corn. And, The labourer is worthy of his reward. 23 Drink no longer water, but use a little wine FOR thy stomach's sake and thine often infirmities. 1 TIMOTHY 6 7 FOR we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out. 10 FOR the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows. 19 Laying up in store FOR themselves a good foundation against the time to come, that they may lay hold on eternal life. 2 TIMOTHY 1 7 FOR God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind. 12 FOR the which cause I also suffer these things: nevertheless I am not ashamed: FOR I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that he is able to keep that which I have committed unto him against that day. 16 The Lord give mercy unto the house of Onesiphorus; FOR he oft refreshed me, and was not ashamed of my chain: 2 TIMOTHY 2 5 And if a man also strive FOR masteries, yet is he not crowned, except he strive lawfully. 10 Therefore I endure all things FOR the elect's sakes, that they may also obtain the salvation which is in Christ Jesus with eternal glory. 11 It is a faithful saying: FOR if we be dead with him, we shall also live with him: 16 But shun profane and vain babblings: FOR they will increase unto more ungodliness. 21 If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet FOR the master's use, and prepared unto every good work. 2 TIMOTHY 3 2 FOR men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, 6 FOR of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts, 9 But they shall proceed no further: FOR their folly shall be manifest unto all men, as their's also was. 16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable FOR doctrine, FOR reproof, FOR correction, FOR instruction in righteousness: 2 TIMOTHY 4 3 FOR the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; 6 FOR I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand. 8 Henceforth there is laid up FOR me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing. 10 FOR Demas hath forsaken me, having loved this present world, and is departed unto Thessalonica; Crescens to Galatia, Titus unto Dalmatia. 11 Only Luke is with me. Take Mark, and bring him with thee: FOR he is profitable to me FOR the ministry. 15 Of whom be thou ware also; FOR he hath greatly withstood our words. 18 And the Lord shall deliver me from every evil work, and will preserve me unto his heavenly kingdom: to whom be glory FOR ever and ever. Amen. TITUS 1 5 FOR this cause left I thee in Crete, that thou shouldest set in order the things that are wanting, and ordain elders in every city, as I had appointed thee: 7 FOR a bishop must be blameless, as the steward of God; not selfwilled, not soon angry, not given to wine, no striker, not given to filthy lucre; 10 FOR there are many unruly and vain talkers and deceivers, specially they of the circumcision: 11 Whose mouths must be stopped, who subvert whole houses, teaching things which they ought not, FOR filthy lucre's sake. TITUS 2 11 FOR the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, 13 Looking FOR that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ; 14 Who gave himself FOR us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works. TITUS 3 3 FOR we ourselves also were sometimes foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving divers lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, and hating one another. 9 But avoid foolish questions, and genealogies, and contentions, and strivings about the law; FOR they are unprofitable and vain. 12 When I shall send Artemas unto thee, or Tychicus, be diligent to come unto me to Nicopolis: FOR I have determined there to winter. 14 And let our's also learn to maintain good works FOR necessary uses, that they be not unfruitful. PHILEMON 1 7 FOR we have great joy and consolation in thy love, because the bowels of the saints are refreshed by thee, brother. 9 Yet FOR love's sake I rather beseech thee, being such an one as Paul the aged, and now also a prisoner of Jesus Christ. 10 I beseech thee FOR my son Onesimus, whom I have begotten in my bonds: 15 FOR perhaps he therefore departed FOR a season, that thou shouldest receive him FOR ever; 22 But withal prepare me also a lodging: FOR I trust that through your prayers I shall be given unto you. --MORE-- |
