JEREMIAH 35 15 I have sent also unto you all my servants the prophets, rising up early and sending them, saying, Return ye now every man from his evil way, and amend your doings, and go not AFTER other gods to serve them, and ye shall dwell in the land which I have given to you and to your fathers: but ye have not inclined your ear, nor hearkened unto me. JEREMIAH 36 27 Then the word of the LORD came to Jeremiah, AFTER that the king had burned the roll, and the words which Baruch wrote at the mouth of Jeremiah, saying, JEREMIAH 39 5 But the Chaldeans' army pursued AFTER them, and overtook Zedekiah in the plains of Jericho: and when they had taken him, they brought him up to Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon to Riblah in the land of Hamath, where he gave judgment upon him. But Gedaliah the son of Ahikam believed them not. JEREMIAH 41 4 And it came to pass the second day AFTER he had slain Gedaliah, and no man knew it, 10 Then Ishmael carried away captive all the residue of the people that were in Mizpah, even the king's daughters, and all the people that remained in Mizpah, whom Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard had committed to Gedaliah the son of Ahikam: and Ishmael the son of Nethaniah carried them away captive, and departed to go over to the AMMONITES. 15 But Ishmael the son of Nethaniah escaped from Johanan with eight men, and went to the AMMONITES. 16 Then took Johanan the son of Kareah, and all the captains of the forces that were with him, all the remnant of the people whom he had recovered from Ishmael the son of Nethaniah, from Mizpah, AFTER that he had slain Gedaliah the son of Ahikam, even mighty men of war, and the women, and the children, and the eunuchs, whom he had brought again from Gibeon: JEREMIAH 42 7 And it came to pass AFTER ten days, that the word of the LORD came unto Jeremiah. 16 Then it shall come to pass, that the sword, which ye feared, shall overtake you there in the land of Egypt, and the famine, whereof ye were afraid, shall follow close AFTER you there in Egypt; and there ye shall die. JEREMIAH 49 1 Concerning the AMMONITES, thus saith the LORD; Hath Israel no sons? hath he no heir? why then doth their king inherit Gad, and his people dwell in his cities? 2 Therefore, behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will cause an alarm of war to be heard in Rabbah of the AMMONITES; and it shall be a desolate heap, and her daughters shall be burned with fire: then shall Israel be heir unto them that were his heirs, saith the LORD. 37 For I will cause Elam to be dismayed before their enemies, and before them that seek their life: and I will bring evil upon them, even my fierce anger, saith the LORD; and I will send the sword AFTER them, till I have consumed them: JEREMIAH 50 21 Go up against the land of Merathaim, even against it, and against the inhabitants of Pekod: waste and utterly destroy AFTER them, saith the LORD, and do according to all that I have commanded thee. EZEKIEL 6 9 And they that escape of you shall remember me among the nations whither they shall be carried captives, because I am broken with their whorish heart, which hath departed from me, and with their eyes, which go a whoring AFTER their idols: and they shall lothe themselves for the evils which they have committed in all their abominations. EZEKIEL 7 27 The king shall mourn, and the prince shall be clothed with desolation, and the hands of the people of the land shall be troubled: I will do unto them AFTER their way, and according to their deserts will I judge them; and they shall know that I am the LORD. EZEKIEL 16 23 And it came to pass AFTER all thy wickedness, (woe, woe unto thee! saith the LORD GOD;) 47 Yet hast thou not walked AFTER their ways, nor done AFTER their abominations: but, as if that were a very little thing, thou wast corrupted more than they in all thy ways. EZEKIEL 20 16 Because they despised my judgments, and walked not in my statutes, but polluted my sabbaths: for their heart went AFTER their idols. 24 Because they had not executed my judgments, but had despised my statutes, and had polluted my sabbaths, and their eyes were AFTER their fathers' idols. 30 Wherefore say unto the house of Israel, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Are ye polluted AFTER the manner of your fathers? and commit ye whoredom AFTER their abominations? EZEKIEL 21 20 Appoint a way, that the sword may come to Rabbath of the AMMONITES, and to Judah in Jerusalem the defenced. 28 And thou, son of man, prophesy and say, Thus saith the Lord GOD concerning the AMMONITES, and concerning their reproach; even say thou, The sword, the sword is drawn: for the slaughter it is furbished, to consume because of the glittering: EZEKIEL 23 15 Girded with girdles upon their loins, exceeding in dyed attire upon their heads, all of them princes to look to, AFTER the manner of the Babylonians of Chaldea, the land of their nativity: 30 I will do these things unto thee, because thou hast gone a whoring AFTER the heathen, and because thou art polluted with their idols. 45 And the righteous men, they shall judge them AFTER the manner of adulteresses, and AFTER the manner of women that shed blood; because they are adulteresses, and blood is in their hands. 48 Thus will I cause lewdness to cease out of the land, that all women may be taught not to do AFTER your lewdness. EZEKIEL 25 2 Son of man, set thy face against the AMMONITES, and prophesy against them; 3 And say unto the AMMONITES, Hear the word of the Lord GOD; Thus saith the Lord GOD; Because thou saidst, Aha, against my sanctuary, when it was profaned; and against the land of Israel, when it was desolate; and against the house of Judah, when they went into captivity; 5 And I will make Rabbah a stable for camels, and the AMMONITES a couching place for flocks: and ye shall know that I am the LORD. 10 Unto the men of the east with the AMMONITES, and will give them in possession, that the AMMONITES may not be remembered among the nations. EZEKIEL 29 16 And it shall be no more the confidence of the house of Israel, which bringeth their iniquity to remembrance, when they shall look AFTER them: but they shall know that I am the Lord GOD. EZEKIEL 33 20 Yet ye say, The way of the Lord is not equal. O ye house of Israel, I will judge you every one AFTER his ways. 31 And they come unto thee as the people cometh, and they sit before thee as my people, and they hear thy words, but they will not do them: for with their mouth they shew much love, but their heart goeth AFTER their covetousness. EZEKIEL 34 6 My sheep wandered through all the mountains, and upon every high hill: yea, my flock was scattered upon all the face of the earth, and none did search or seek AFTER them. EZEKIEL 36 11 And I will multiply upon you man and beast; and they shall increase and bring fruit: and I will settle you AFTER your old estates, and will do better unto you than at your beginnings: and ye shall know that I am the LORD. EZEKIEL 39 14 And they shall sever out men of continual employment, passing through the land to bury with the passengers those that remain upon the face of the earth, to cleanse it: AFTER the end of seven months shall they search. 26 AFTER that they have borne their shame, and all their trespasses whereby they have trespassed against me, when they dwelt safely in their land, and none made them afraid. EZEKIEL 40 1 In the five and twentieth year of our captivity, in the beginning of the year, in the tenth day of the month, in the fourteenth year AFTER that the city was smitten, in the selfsame day the hand of the LORD was upon me, and brought me thither. 21 And the little chambers thereof were three on this side and three on that side; and the posts thereof and the arches thereof were AFTER the measure of the first gate: the length thereof was fifty cubits, and the breadth five and twenty cubits. 22 And their windows, and their arches, and their palm trees, were AFTER the measure of the gate that looketh toward the east; and they went up unto it by seven steps; and the arches thereof were before them. 24 AFTER that he brought me toward the south, and behold a gate toward the south: and he measured the posts thereof and the arches thereof according to these measures. --MORE-- |
