PROVERBS 16 4 The LORD hath made all things for himself: yea, even the wicked for the day of EVIL. 6 By mercy and truth iniquity is purged: and by the fear of the LORD men depart from EVIL. 17 The highway of the upright is to depart from EVIL: he that keepeth his way preserveth his soul. 27 An ungodly man diggeth up EVIL: and in his lips there is as a burning fire. 30 He shutteth his eyes to devise froward things: moving his lips he bringeth EVIL to pass. PROVERBS 17 11 An EVIL man seeketh only rebellion: therefore a cruel messenger shall be sent against him. 13 Whoso rewardeth EVIL for good, EVIL shall not depart from his house. PROVERBS 19 23 The fear of the LORD tendeth to life: and he that hath it shall abide satisfied; he shall not be visited with EVIL. PROVERBS 20 8 A king that sitteth in the throne of judgment scattereth away all EVIL with his eyes. 22 Say not thou, I will recompense EVIL; but wait on the LORD, and he shall save thee. 30 The blueness of a wound cleanseth away EVIL: so do stripes the inward parts of the belly. PROVERBS 21 10 The soul of the wicked desireth EVIL: his neighbour findeth no favour in his eyes. PROVERBS 22 3 A prudent man foreseeth the EVIL, and hideth himself: but the simple pass on, and are punished. PROVERBS 23 6 Eat thou not the bread of him that hath an EVIL eye, neither desire thou his dainty meats: PROVERBS 24 1 Be not thou envious against EVIL men, neither desire to be with them. 8 He that deviseth to do EVIL shall be called a mischievous person. 19 Fret not thyself because of EVIL men, neither be thou envious at the wicked: 20 For there shall be no reward to the EVIL man; the candle of the wicked shall be put out. PROVERBS 27 12 A prudent man foreseeth the EVIL, and hideth himself; but the simple pass on, and are punished. PROVERBS 28 5 EVIL men understand not judgment: but they that seek the LORD understand all things. 10 Whoso causeth the righteous to go astray in an EVIL way, he shall fall himself into his own pit: but the upright shall have good things in possession. 22 He that hasteth to be rich hath an EVIL eye, and considereth not that poverty shall come upon him. PROVERBS 29 6 In the transgression of an EVIL man there is a snare: but the righteous doth sing and rejoice. PROVERBS 30 32 If thou hast done foolishly in lifting up thyself, or if thou hast thought EVIL, lay thine hand upon thy mouth. PROVERBS 31 12 She will do him good and not EVIL all the days of her life. ECCLESIASTES 2 21 For there is a man whose labour is in wisdom, and in knowledge, and in equity; yet to a man that hath not laboured therein shall he leave it for his portion. This also is vanity and a great EVIL. ECCLESIASTES 4 3 Yea, better is he than both they, which hath not yet been, who hath not seen the EVIL work that is done under the sun. ECCLESIASTES 5 1 Keep thy foot when thou goest to the house of God, and be more ready to hear, than to give the sacrifice of fools: for they consider not that they do EVIL. 13 There is a sore EVIL which I have seen under the sun, namely, riches kept for the owners thereof to their hurt. 14 But those riches perish by EVIL travail: and he begetteth a son, and there is nothing in his hand. 16 And this also is a sore EVIL, that in all points as he came, so shall he go: and what profit hath he that hath laboured for the wind? ECCLESIASTES 6 1 There is an EVIL which I have seen under the sun, and it is common among men: 2 A man to whom God hath given riches, wealth, and honour, so that he wanteth nothing for his soul of all that he desireth, yet God giveth him not power to eat thereof, but a stranger eateth it: this is vanity, and it is an EVIL disease. ECCLESIASTES 8 3 Be not hasty to go out of his sight: stand not in an EVIL thing; for he doeth whatsoever pleaseth him. 5 Whoso keepeth the commandment shall feel no EVIL thing: and a wise man's heart discerneth both time and judgment. 11 Because sentence against an EVIL work is not executed speedily, therefore the heart of the sons of men is fully set in them to do EVIL. 12 Though a sinner do EVIL an hundred times, and his days be prolonged, yet surely I know that it shall be well with them that fear God, which fear before him: ECCLESIASTES 9 3 This is an EVIL among all things that are done under the sun, that there is one event unto all: yea, also the heart of the sons of men is full of EVIL, and madness is in their heart while they live, and after that they go to the dead. 12 For man also knoweth not his time: as the fishes that are taken in an EVIL net, and as the birds that are caught in the snare; so are the sons of men snared in an EVIL time, when it falleth suddenly upon them. ECCLESIASTES 10 5 There is an EVIL which I have seen under the sun, as an error which proceedeth from the ruler: ECCLESIASTES 11 2 Give a portion to seven, and also to eight; for thou knowest not what EVIL shall be upon the earth. 10 Therefore remove sorrow from thy heart, and put away EVIL from thy flesh: for childhood and youth are vanity. ECCLESIASTES 12 1 Remember now thy Creator in the days of thy youth, while the EVIL days come not, nor the years draw nigh, when thou shalt say, I have no pleasure in them; 14 For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be EVIL. ISAIAH 1 16 Wash you, make you clean; put away the EVIL of your doings from before mine eyes; cease to do EVIL; ISAIAH 3 9 The shew of their countenance doth witness against them; and they declare their sin as Sodom, they hide it not. Woe unto their soul! for they have rewarded EVIL unto themselves. ISAIAH 5 20 Woe unto them that call EVIL good, and good EVIL; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter! ISAIAH 7 5 Because Syria, Ephraim, and the son of Remaliah, have taken EVIL counsel against thee, saying, 15 Butter and honey shall he eat, that he may know to refuse the EVIL, and choose the good. 16 For before the child shall know to refuse the EVIL, and choose the good, the land that thou abhorrest shall be forsaken of both her kings. --MORE-- |
