JEREMIAH 16 10 And it shall come to pass, when thou shalt shew this people all these words, and they shall say unto thee, Wherefore hath the LORD pronounced all this great EVIL against us? or what is our iniquity? or what is our sin that we have committed against the LORD our God? 12 And ye have done worse than your fathers; for, behold, ye walk every one after the imagination of his EVIL heart, that they may not hearken unto me: JEREMIAH 17 17 Be not a terror unto me: thou art my hope in the day of EVIL. 18 Let them be confounded that persecute me, but let not me be confounded: let them be dismayed, but let not me be dismayed: bring upon them the day of EVIL, and destroy them with double destruction. JEREMIAH 18 8 If that nation, against whom I have pronounced, turn from their EVIL, I will repent of the EVIL that I thought to do unto them. 10 If it do EVIL in my sight, that it obey not my voice, then I will repent of the good, wherewith I said I would benefit them. 11 Now therefore go to, speak to the men of Judah, and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem, saying, Thus saith the LORD; Behold, I frame EVIL against you, and devise a device against you: return ye now every one from his EVIL way, and make your ways and your doings good. 12 And they said, There is no hope: but we will walk after our own devices, and we will every one do the imagination of his EVIL heart. 20 Shall EVIL be recompensed for good? for they have digged a pit for my soul. Remember that I stood before thee to speak good for them, and to turn away thy wrath from them. JEREMIAH 19 3 And say, Hear ye the word of the LORD, O kings of Judah, and inhabitants of Jerusalem; Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Behold, I will bring EVIL upon this place, the which whosoever heareth, his ears shall tingle. 15 Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Behold, I will bring upon this city and upon all her towns all the EVIL that I have pronounced against it, because they have hardened their necks, that they might not hear my words. JEREMIAH 21 10 For I have set my face against this city for EVIL, and not for good, saith the LORD: it shall be given into the hand of the king of Babylon, and he shall burn it with fire. 12 O house of David, thus saith the LORD; Execute judgment in the morning, and deliver him that is spoiled out of the hand of the oppressor, lest my fury go out like fire, and burn that none can quench it, because of the EVIL of your doings. JEREMIAH 23 2 Therefore thus saith the LORD God of Israel against the pastors that feed my people; Ye have scattered my flock, and driven them away, and have not visited them: behold, I will visit upon you the EVIL of your doings, saith the LORD. 10 For the land is full of adulterers; for because of swearing the land mourneth; the pleasant places of the wilderness are dried up, and their course is EVIL, and their force is not right. 12 Wherefore their way shall be unto them as slippery ways in the darkness: they shall be driven on, and fall therein: for I will bring EVIL upon them, even the year of their visitation, saith the LORD. 17 They say still unto them that despise me, The LORD hath said, Ye shall have peace; and they say unto every one that walketh after the imagination of his own heart, No EVIL shall come upon you. 22 But if they had stood in my counsel, and had caused my people to hear my words, then they should have turned them from their EVIL way, and from the EVIL of their doings. JEREMIAH 24 3 Then said the LORD unto me, What seest thou, Jeremiah? And I said, Figs; the good figs, very good; and the EVIL, very EVIL, that cannot be eaten, they are so EVIL. 8 And as the EVIL figs, which cannot be eaten, they are so EVIL; surely thus saith the LORD, So will I give Zedekiah the king of Judah, and his princes, and the residue of Jerusalem, that remain in this land, and them that dwell in the land of Egypt: JEREMIAH 25 5 They said, Turn ye again now every one from his EVIL way, and from the EVIL of your doings, and dwell in the land that the LORD hath given unto you and to your fathers for ever and ever: 29 For, lo, I begin to bring EVIL on the city which is called by my name, and should ye be utterly unpunished? Ye shall not be unpunished: for I will call for a sword upon all the inhabitants of the earth, saith the LORD of hosts. 32 Thus saith the LORD of hosts, Behold, EVIL shall go forth from nation to nation, and a great whirlwind shall be raised up from the coasts of the earth. JEREMIAH 26 3 If so be they will hearken, and turn every man from his EVIL way, that I may repent me of the EVIL, which I purpose to do unto them because of the EVIL of their doings. 13 Therefore now amend your ways and your doings, and obey the voice of the LORD your God; and the LORD will repent him of the EVIL that he hath pronounced against you. 19 Did Hezekiah king of Judah and all Judah put him at all to death? did he not fear the LORD, and besought the LORD, and the LORD repented him of the EVIL which he had pronounced against them? Thus might we procure great EVIL against our souls. JEREMIAH 28 8 The prophets that have been before me and before thee of old prophesied both against many countries, and against great kingdoms, of war, and of EVIL, and of pestilence. JEREMIAH 29 11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of EVIL, to give you an expected end. 17 Thus saith the LORD of hosts; Behold, I will send upon them the sword, the famine, and the pestilence, and will make them like vile figs, that cannot be eaten, they are so EVIL. JEREMIAH 32 23 And they came in, and possessed it; but they obeyed not thy voice, neither walked in thy law; they have done nothing of all that thou commandedst them to do: therefore thou hast caused all this EVIL to come upon them: 30 For the children of Israel and the children of Judah have only done EVIL before me from their youth: for the children of Israel have only provoked me to anger with the work of their hands, saith the LORD. 32 Because of all the EVIL of the children of Israel and of the children of Judah, which they have done to provoke me to anger, they, their kings, their princes, their priests, and their prophets, and the men of Judah, and the inhabitants of Jerusalem. 42 For thus saith the LORD; Like as I have brought all this great EVIL upon this people, so will I bring upon them all the good that I have promised them. JEREMIAH 35 15 I have sent also unto you all my servants the prophets, rising up early and sending them, saying, Return ye now every man from his EVIL way, and amend your doings, and go not after other gods to serve them, and ye shall dwell in the land which I have given to you and to your fathers: but ye have not inclined your ear, nor hearkened unto me. 17 Therefore thus saith the LORD God of hosts, the God of Israel; Behold, I will bring upon Judah and upon all the inhabitants of Jerusalem all the EVIL that I have pronounced against them: because I have spoken unto them, but they have not heard; and I have called unto them, but they have not answered. JEREMIAH 36 3 It may be that the house of Judah will hear all the EVIL which I purpose to do unto them; that they may return every man from his EVIL way; that I may forgive their iniquity and their sin. 7 It may be they will present their supplication before the LORD, and will return every one from his EVIL way: for great is the anger and the fury that the LORD hath pronounced against this people. 31 And I will punish him and his seed and his servants for their iniquity; and I will bring upon them, and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and upon the men of Judah, all the EVIL that I have pronounced against them; but they hearkened not. JEREMIAH 38 9 My lord the king, these men have done EVIL in all that they have done to Jeremiah the prophet, whom they have cast into the dungeon; and he is like to die for hunger in the place where he is: for there is no more bread in the city. JEREMIAH 39 16 Go and speak to Ebedmelech the Ethiopian, saying, Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Behold, I will bring my words upon this city for EVIL, and not for good; and they shall be accomplished in that day before thee. JEREMIAH 40 2 And the captain of the guard took Jeremiah, and said unto him, The LORD thy God hath pronounced this EVIL upon this place. JEREMIAH 41 11 But when Johanan the son of Kareah, and all the captains of the forces that were with him, heard of all the EVIL that Ishmael the son of Nethaniah had done, JEREMIAH 42 6 Whether it be good, or whether it be EVIL, we will obey the voice of the LORD our God, to whom we send thee; that it may be well with us, when we obey the voice of the LORD our God. 10 If ye will still abide in this land, then will I build you, and not pull you down, and I will plant you, and not pluck you up: for I repent me of the EVIL that I have done unto you. 17 So shall it be with all the men that set their faces to go into Egypt to sojourn there; they shall die by the sword, by the famine, and by the pestilence: and none of them shall remain or escape from the EVIL that I will bring upon them. JEREMIAH 44 2 Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Ye have seen all the EVIL that I have brought upon Jerusalem, and upon all the cities of Judah; and, behold, this day they are a desolation, and no man dwelleth therein, 7 Therefore now thus saith the LORD, the God of hosts, the God of Israel; Wherefore commit ye this great EVIL against your souls, to cut off from you man and woman, child and suckling, out of Judah, to leave you none to remain; 11 Therefore thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Behold, I will set my face against you for EVIL, and to cut off all Judah. 17 But we will certainly do whatsoever thing goeth forth out of our own mouth, to burn incense unto the queen of heaven, and to pour out drink offerings unto her, as we have done, we, and our fathers, our kings, and our princes, in the cities of Judah, and in the streets of Jerusalem: for then had we plenty of victuals, and were well, and saw no EVIL. 22 So that the LORD could no longer bear, because of the EVIL of your doings, and because of the abominations which ye have committed; therefore is your land a desolation, and an astonishment, and a curse, without an inhabitant, as at this day. 23 Because ye have burned incense, and because ye have sinned against the LORD, and have not obeyed the voice of the LORD, nor walked in his law, nor in his statutes, nor in his testimonies; therefore this EVIL is happened unto you, as at this day. 27 Behold, I will watch over them for EVIL, and not for good: and all the men of Judah that are in the land of Egypt shall be consumed by the sword and by the famine, until there be an end of them. 29 And this shall be a sign unto you, saith the LORD, that I will punish you in this place, that ye may know that my words shall surely stand against you for EVIL: --MORE-- |
