JUDGES 21 5 And the children of Israel said, Who is there among all the tribes of Israel that came not up with the congregation unto the LORD? And is this the manner of man, O Lord GOD? 21 For thy word's sake, and according to thine own heart, hast thou done all these GREAT things, to make thy servant know them. 22 Wherefore thou art GREAT, O LORD God: for there is none like thee, neither is there any God beside thee, according to all that we have heard with our ears. 23 And what one nation in the earth is like thy people, even like Israel, whom God went to redeem for a people to himself, and to make him a name, and to do for you GREAT things and terrible, for thy land, before thy people, which thou redeemedst to thee from Egypt, from the nations and their gods? 2 SAMUEL 12 14 Howbeit, because by this deed thou hast given GREAT occasion to the enemies of the LORD to blaspheme, the child also that is born unto thee shall surely die. 30 And he took their king's crown from off his head, the weight whereof was a talent of gold with the precious stones: and it was set on David's head. And he brought forth the spoil of the city in GREAT abundance. 2 SAMUEL 18 7 Where the people of Israel were slain before the servants of David, and there was there a GREAT slaughter that day of twenty thousand men. 9 And Absalom met the servants of David. And Absalom rode upon a mule, and the mule went under the thick boughs of a GREAT oak, and his head caught hold of the oak, and he was taken up between the heaven and the earth; and the mule that was under him went away. 17 And they took Absalom, and cast him into a GREAT pit in the wood, and laid a very GREAT heap of stones upon him: and all Israel fled every one to his tent. 29 And the king said, Is the young man Absalom safe?
