PROVERBS 19 1 Better is the poor that walketh in his integrity, than he that is perverse in his lips, and is a FOOL. 10 Delight is not seemly for a FOOL; much less for a servant to have rule over princes. PROVERBS 20 3 It is an honour for a man to cease from strife: but every FOOL will be meddling. PROVERBS 23 9 Speak not in the ears of a FOOL: for he will despise the wisdom of thy words. PROVERBS 24 7 Wisdom is too high for a FOOL: he openeth not his mouth in the gate. 11 If thou FORBEAR to deliver them that are drawn unto death, and those that are ready to be slain; PROVERBS 26 1 As snow in summer, and as rain in harvest, so honour is not seemly for a FOOL. 3 A whip for the horse, a bridle for the ass, and a rod for the FOOL's back. 4 Answer not a FOOL according to his folly, lest thou also be like unto him. 5 Answer a FOOL according to his folly, lest he be wise in his own conceit. 6 He that sendeth a message by the hand of a FOOL cutteth off the feet, and drinketh damage. 8 As he that bindeth a stone in a sling, so is he that giveth honour to a FOOL. 10 The great God that formed all things both rewardeth the FOOL, and rewardeth transgressors. 11 As a dog returneth to his vomit, so a FOOL returneth to his folly. 12 Seest thou a man wise in his own conceit? there is more hope of a FOOL than of him. PROVERBS 27 3 A stone is heavy, and the sand weighty; but a FOOL's wrath is heavier than them both. 22 Though thou shouldest bray a FOOL in a mortar among wheat with a pestle, yet will not his foolishness depart from him. PROVERBS 28 26 He that trusteth in his own heart is a FOOL: but whoso walketh wisely, he shall be delivered. PROVERBS 29 11 A FOOL uttereth all his mind: but a wise man keepeth it in till afterwards. 20 Seest thou a man that is hasty in his words? there is more hope of a FOOL than of him. PROVERBS 30 22 For a servant when he reigneth; and a FOOL when he is filled with meat; ECCLESIASTES 2 14 The wise man's eyes are in his head; but the FOOL walketh in darkness: and I myself perceived also that one event happeneth to them all. 15 Then said I in my heart, As it happeneth to the FOOL, so it happeneth even to me; and why was I then more wise? Then I said in my heart, that this also is vanity. 16 For there is no remembrance of the wise more than of the FOOL for ever; seeing that which now is in the days to come shall all be forgotten. And how dieth the wise man? as the FOOL. 19 And who knoweth whether he shall be a wise man or a FOOL? yet shall he have rule over all my labour wherein I have laboured, and wherein I have shewed myself wise under the sun. This is also vanity. ECCLESIASTES 4 5 The FOOL foldeth his hands together, and eateth his own flesh. ECCLESIASTES 6 8 For what hath the wise more than the FOOL? what hath the poor, that knoweth to walk before the living? ECCLESIASTES 7 6 For as the crackling of thorns under a pot, so is the laughter of the FOOL: this also is vanity. ECCLESIASTES 10 2 A wise man's heart is at his right hand; but a FOOL's heart at his left. 3 Yea also, when he that is a FOOL walketh by the way, his wisdom faileth him, and he saith to every one that he is a FOOL. 12 The words of a wise man's mouth are gracious; but the lips of a FOOL will swallow up himself. 14 A FOOL also is full of words: a man cannot tell what shall be; and what shall be after him, who can tell him? JEREMIAH 17 11 As the partridge sitteth on eggs, and hatcheth them not; so he that getteth riches, and not by right, shall leave them in the midst of his days, and at his end shall be a FOOL. JEREMIAH 40 4 And now, behold, I loose thee this day from the chains which were upon thine hand. If it seem good unto thee to come with me into Babylon, come; and I will look well unto thee: but if it seem ill unto thee to come with me into Babylon, FORBEAR: behold, all the land is before thee: whither it seemeth good and convenient for thee to go, thither go. EZEKIEL 2 5 And they, whether they will hear, or whether they will FORBEAR, (for they are a rebellious house,) yet shall know that there hath been a prophet among them. 7 And thou shalt speak my words unto them, whether they will hear, or whether they will FORBEAR: for they are most rebellious. EZEKIEL 3 11 And go, get thee to them of the captivity, unto the children of thy people, and speak unto them, and tell them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; whether they will hear, or whether they will FORBEAR. 27 But when I speak with thee, I will open thy mouth, and thou shalt say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; He that heareth, let him hear; and he that forbeareth, let him FORBEAR: for they are a rebellious house. EZEKIEL 24 17 FORBEAR to cry, make no mourning for the dead, bind the tire of thine head upon thee, and put on thy shoes upon thy feet, and cover not thy lips, and eat not the bread of men. HOSEA 9 7 The days of visitation are come, the days of recompence are come; Israel shall know it: the prophet is a FOOL, the spiritual man is mad, for the multitude of thine iniquity, and the great hatred. ZECHARIAH 11 12 And I said unto them, If ye think good, give me my price; and if not, FORBEAR. So they weighed for my price thirty pieces of silver. MATTHEW 5 22 But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment: and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council: but whosoever shall say, Thou FOOL, shall be in danger of hell fire. MATTHEW 13 5 Some fell upon stony places, where they had not much earth: and FORTHWITH they sprung up, because they had no deepness of earth: MATTHEW 26 49 And FORTHWITH he came to Jesus, and said, Hail, master; and kissed him. MARK 1 29 And FORTHWITH, when they were come out of the synagogue, they entered into the house of Simon and Andrew, with James and John. 43 And he straitly charged him, and FORTHWITH sent him away; MARK 5 13 And FORTHWITH Jesus gave them leave. And the unclean spirits went out, and entered into the swine: and the herd ran violently down a steep place into the sea, (they were about two thousand;) and were choked in the sea. LUKE 12 20 But God said unto him, Thou FOOL, this night thy soul shall be required of thee: then whose shall those things be, which thou hast provided? JOHN 19 34 But one of the soldiers with a spear pierced his side, and FORTHWITH came there out blood and water. ACTS 9 18 And immediately there fell from his eyes as it had been scales: and he received sight FORTHWITH, and arose, and was baptized. --MORE-- |
