Moreover I will subdue all thine enemies. And the angel of the LORD stood by the threshingfloor of Ornan the Jebusite. 18 Then the angel of the LORD commanded Gad to say to David, that David should go up, and set up AN altar unto the LORD in the threshingfloor of Ornan the Jebusite. 22 Then David said to Ornan, Grant me the place of this threshingfloor, that I may build AN altar therein unto the LORD: thou shalt grant it me for the full price: that the plague may be stayed from the people. 26 And David built there AN altar unto the LORD, and offered burnt offerings and peace offerings, and called upon the LORD; and he answered him from heaven by fire upon the altar of burnt offering. 1 CHRONICLES 22 6 Then he called for Solomon his son, and charged him to build AN house for the LORD God of Israel. 7 And David said to Solomon, My son, as for me, it was in my mind to build AN house unto the name of the LORD my God: 8 But the word of the LORD came to me, saying, Thou hast shed blood abundantly, and hast made great wars: thou shalt not build AN house unto my name, because thou hast shed much blood upon the earth in my sight. 10 He shall build AN house for my name; and he shall be my son, and I will be his father; and I will establish the throne of his kingdom over Israel for ever. 14 Now, behold, in my trouble I have prepared for the house of the LORD AN hundred thousand talents of gold, and a thousand thousand talents of silver; and of brass and iron without weight; for it is in abundance: timber also and stone have I prepared; and thou mayest add thereto. 1 CHRONICLES 27 4 And over the course of the second month was Dodai AN Ahohite, and of his course was Mikloth also the ruler: in his course likewise were twenty and four thousand. 1 CHRONICLES 28 2 Then David the king stood up upon his feet, and said, Hear me, my brethren, and my people: As for me, I had in mine heart to build AN house of rest for the ark of the covenant of the LORD, and for the footstool of our God, and had made ready for the building: 3 But God said unto me, Thou shalt not build AN house for my name, because thou hast been a man of war, and hast shed blood. 8 Now therefore in the sight of all Israel the congregation of the LORD, and in the audience of our God, keep and seek for all the commandments of the LORD your God: that ye may possess this good land, and leave it for AN inheritance for your children after you for ever. 10 Take heed now; for the LORD hath chosen thee to build AN house for the sanctuary: be strong, and do it. 1 CHRONICLES 29 16 O LORD our God, all this store that we have prepared to build thee AN house for thine holy name cometh of thine hand, and is all thine own. 2 CHRONICLES 1 17 And they fetched up, and brought forth out of Egypt a chariot for six hundred shekels of silver, and AN horse for AN hundred and fifty: and so brought they out horses for all the kings of the Hittites, and for the kings of Syria, by their means. 2 CHRONICLES 2 1 And Solomon determined to build AN house for the name of the LORD, and AN house for his kingdom. 3 And Solomon sent to Huram the king of Tyre, saying, As thou didst deal with David my father, and didst send him cedars to build him AN house to dwell therein, even so deal with me. 4 Behold, I build AN house to the name of the LORD my God, to dedicate it to him, and to burn before him sweet incense, and for the continual shewbread, and for the burnt offerings morning and evening, on the sabbaths, and on the new moons, and on the solemn feasts of the LORD our God. This is AN ordinance for ever to Israel. 6 But who is able to build him AN house, seeing the heaven and heaven of heavens cannot contain him? who am I then, that I should build him AN house, save only to burn sacrifice before him? 12 Huram said moreover, Blessed be the LORD God of Israel, that made heaven and earth, who hath given to David the king a wise son, endued with prudence and understanding, that might build AN house for the LORD, and AN house for his kingdom. 17 And Solomon numbered all the strangers that were in the land of Israel, after the numbering wherewith David his father had numbered them; and they were found AN hundred and fifty thousand and three thousand and six hundred. 2 CHRONICLES 3 4 And the porch that was in the front of the house, the length of it was according to the breadth of the house, twenty cubits, and the height was AN hundred and twenty: and he overlaid it within with pure gold. 16 And he made chains, as in the oracle, and put them on the heads of the pillars; and made AN hundred pomegranates, and put them on the chains. --MORE-- |
