ACTS 10 4 And when he looked on him, he was afraid, and said, What is it, Lord? And he said unto him, Thy prayers and thine alms are come up FOR a memorial before God. 5 And now send men to Joppa, and call FOR one Simon, whose surname is Peter: 14 But Peter said, Not so, Lord; FOR I have never eaten any thing that is common or unclean. 17 Now while Peter doubted in himself what this vision which he had seen should mean, behold, the men which were sent from Cornelius had made enquiry FOR Simon's house, and stood before the gate, 20 Arise therefore, and get thee down, and go with them, doubting nothing: FOR I have sent them. 22 And they said, Cornelius the centurion, a just man, and one that feareth God, and of good report among all the nation of the Jews, was warned from God by an holy angel to send FOR thee into his house, and to hear words of thee. 24 And the morrow after they entered into Caesarea. And Cornelius waited FOR them, and he had called together his kinsmen and near friends. 28 And he said unto them, Ye know how that it is an unlawful thing FOR a man that is a Jew to keep company, or come unto one of another nation; but God hath shewed me that I should not call any man common or unclean. 29 Therefore came I unto you without gainsaying, as soon as I was sent FOR: I ask therefore FOR what intent ye have sent FOR me? 38 How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy GHOST and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; FOR God was with him. 44 While Peter yet spake these words, the Holy GHOST fell on all them which heard the word. 45 And they of the circumcision which believed were astonished, as many as came with Peter, because that on the Gentiles also was poured out the gift of the Holy GHOST. 46 FOR they heard them speak with tongues, and magnify God. Then answered Peter, 47 Can any man forbid water, that these should not be baptized, which have received the Holy GHOST as well as we? ACTS 11 8 But I said, Not so, Lord: FOR nothing common or unclean hath at any time entered into my mouth. 13 And he shewed us how he had seen an angel in his house, which stood and said unto him, Send men to Joppa, and call FOR Simon, whose surname is Peter; 15 And as I began to speak, the Holy GHOST fell on them, as on us at the beginning. 16 Then remembered I the word of the Lord, how that he said, John indeed baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy GHOST. 24 FOR he was a good man, and full of the Holy GHOST and of faith: and much people was added unto the Lord. 25 Then departed Barnabas to Tarsus, FOR to seek Saul: ACTS 12 5 Peter therefore was kept in prison: but prayer was made without ceasing of the church unto God FOR him. 14 And when she knew Peter's voice, she opened not the gate FOR gladness, but ran in, and told how Peter stood before the gate. 19 And when Herod had sought FOR him, and found him not, he examined the keepers, and commanded that they should be put to death. And he went down from Judaea to Caesarea, and there abode. 23 And immediately the angel of the Lord smote him, because he gave not God the glory: and he was eaten of worms, and gave up the GHOST. ACTS 13 2 As they ministered to the Lord, and fasted, the Holy GHOST said, Separate me Barnabas and Saul FOR the work whereunto I have called them. 4 So they, being sent forth by the Holy GHOST, departed unto Seleucia; and from thence they sailed to Cyprus. 7 Which was with the deputy of the country, Sergius Paulus, a prudent man; who called FOR Barnabas and Saul, and desired to hear the word of God. 8 But Elymas the sorcerer (FOR so is his name by interpretation) withstood them, seeking to turn away the deputy from the faith. 9 Then Saul, (who also is called Paul,) filled with the Holy GHOST, set his eyes on him. 11 And now, behold, the hand of the Lord is upon thee, and thou shalt be blind, not seeing the sun FOR a season. And immediately there fell on him a mist and a darkness; and he went about seeking some to lead him by the hand. 15 And after the reading of the law and the prophets the rulers of the synagogue sent unto them, saying, Ye men and brethren, if ye have any word of exhortation FOR the people, say on. 27 FOR they that dwell at Jerusalem, and their rulers, because they knew him not, nor yet the voices of the prophets which are read every sabbath day, they have fulfilled them in condemning him. 36 FOR David, after he had served his own generation by the will of God, fell on sleep, and was laid unto his fathers, and saw corruption: 41 Behold, ye despisers, and wonder, and perish: FOR I work a work in your days, a work which ye shall in no wise believe, though a man declare it unto you. 47 FOR so hath the Lord commanded us, saying, I have set thee to be a light of the Gentiles, that thou shouldest be FOR salvation unto the ends of the earth. 52 And the disciples were filled with joy, and with the Holy GHOST. ACTS 14 26 And thence sailed to Antioch, from whence they had been recommended to the grace of God FOR the work which they fulfilled. ACTS 15 6 And the apostles and elders came together FOR to consider of this matter. 8 And God, which knoweth the hearts, bare them witness, giving them the Holy GHOST, even as he did unto us; 14 Simeon hath declared how God at the first did visit the Gentiles, to take out of them a people FOR his name. 21 FOR Moses of old time hath in every city them that preach him, being read in the synagogues every sabbath day. 26 Men that have hazarded their lives FOR the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. 28 FOR it seemed good to the Holy GHOST, and to us, to lay upon you no greater burden than these necessary things; 31 Which when they had read, they rejoiced FOR the consolation. --MORE-- |
