1 CORINTHIANS 6 12 All things are lawful unto me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful FOR me, but I will not be brought under the power of any. 13 Meats FOR the belly, and the belly FOR meats: but God shall destroy both it and them. Now the body is not FOR fornication, but FOR the Lord; and the Lord FOR the body. 16 What? know ye not that he which is joined to an harlot is one body? FOR two, saith he, shall be one flesh. 18 FLEE fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body. 20 FOR ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's. 1 CORINTHIANS 7 1 Now concerning the things whereof ye wrote unto me: It is good FOR a man not to touch a woman. 5 Defraud ye not one the other, except it be with consent FOR a time, that ye may give yourselves to fasting and prayer; and come together again, that Satan tempt you not FOR your incontinency. 7 FOR I would that all men were even as I myself. But every man hath his proper gift of God, one after this manner, and another after that. 8 I say therefore to the unmarried and widows, It is good FOR them if they abide even as I. 9 But if they cannot contain, let them marry: FOR it is better to marry than to burn. 14 FOR the unbelieving husband is sanctified by the wife, and the unbelieving wife is sanctified by the husband: else were your children unclean; but now are they holy. 16 FOR what knowest thou, O wife, whether thou shalt save thy husband? or how knowest thou, O man, whether thou shalt save thy wife? 21 Art thou called being a servant? care not FOR it: but if thou mayest be made free, use it rather. 22 FOR he that is called in the Lord, being a servant, is the Lord's freeman: likewise also he that is called, being free, is Christ's servant. 26 I suppose therefore that this is good FOR the present distress, I say, that it is good FOR a man so to be. 31 And they that use this world, as not abusing it: FOR the fashion of this world passeth away. 32 But I would have you without carefulness. He that is unmarried careth FOR the things that belong to the Lord, how he may please the Lord: 33 But he that is married careth FOR the things that are of the world, how he may please his wife. 34 There is difference also between a wife and a virgin. The unmarried woman careth FOR the things of the Lord, that she may be holy both in body and in spirit: but she that is married careth FOR the things of the world, how she may please her husband. 35 And this I speak FOR your own profit; not that I may cast a snare upon you, but FOR that which is comely, and that ye may attend upon the Lord without distraction. 1 CORINTHIANS 8 5 FOR though there be that are called gods, whether in heaven or in earth, (as there be gods many, and lords many,) 7 Howbeit there is not in every man that knowledge: FOR some with conscience of the idol unto this hour eat it as a thing offered unto an idol; and their conscience being weak is defiled. 8 But meat commendeth us not to God: FOR neither, if we eat, are we the better; neither, if we eat not, are we the worse. 10 FOR if any man see thee which hast knowledge sit at meat in the idol's temple, shall not the conscience of him which is weak be emboldened to eat those things which are offered to idols; 11 And through thy knowledge shall the weak brother perish, FOR whom Christ died? 1 CORINTHIANS 9 2 If I be not an apostle unto others, yet doubtless I am to you: FOR the seal of mine apostleship are ye in the Lord. 9 FOR it is written in the law of Moses, Thou shalt not muzzle the mouth of the ox that treadeth out the corn. Doth God take care FOR oxen? 10 Or saith he it altogether FOR our sakes? FOR our sakes, no doubt, this is written: that he that ploweth should plow in hope; and that he that thresheth in hope should be partaker of his hope. 15 But I have used none of these things: neither have I written these things, that it should be so done unto me: FOR it were better FOR me to die, than that any man should make my glorying void. 16 FOR though I preach the gospel, I have nothing to glory of: FOR necessity is laid upon me; yea, woe is unto me, if I preach not the gospel! 17 FOR if I do this thing willingly, I have a reward: but if against my will, a dispensation of the gospel is committed unto me. 19 FOR though I be free from all men, yet have I made myself servant unto all, that I might gain the more. 23 And this I do FOR the gospel's sake, that I might be partaker thereof with you. 25 And every man that striveth FOR the mastery is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a corruptible crown; but we an incorruptible. 1 CORINTHIANS 10 4 And did all drink the same spiritual drink: FOR they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Christ. 5 But with many of them God was not well pleased: FOR they were overthrown in the wilderness. 11 Now all these things happened unto them FOR ensamples: and they are written FOR our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come. 14 Wherefore, my dearly beloved, FLEE from idolatry. 17 FOR we being many are one bread, and one body: FOR we are all partakers of that one bread. 23 All things are lawful FOR me, but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful FOR me, but all things edify not. 25 Whatsoever is sold in the shambles, that eat, asking no question FOR conscience sake: 26 FOR the earth is the Lord's, and the fulness thereof. 27 If any of them that believe not bid you to a feast, and ye be disposed to go; whatsoever is set before you, eat, asking no question FOR conscience sake. 28 But if any man say unto you, This is offered in sacrifice unto idols, eat not FOR his sake that shewed it, and FOR conscience sake: FOR the earth is the Lord's, and the fulness thereof: 29 Conscience, I say, not thine own, but of the other: FOR why is my liberty judged of another man's conscience? 30 FOR if I by grace be a partaker, why am I evil spoken of FOR that FOR which I give thanks? 1 CORINTHIANS 11 5 But every woman that prayeth or prophesieth with her head uncovered dishonoureth her head: FOR that is even all one as if she were shaven. 6 FOR if the woman be not covered, let her also be shorn: but if it be a shame FOR a woman to be shorn or shaven, let her be covered. 7 FOR a man indeed ought not to cover his head, forasmuch as he is the image and glory of God: but the woman is the glory of the man. 8 FOR the man is not of the woman: but the woman of the man. 9 Neither was the man created FOR the woman; but the woman FOR the man. 10 FOR this cause ought the woman to have power on her head because of the angels. 12 FOR as the woman is of the man, even so is the man also by the woman; but all things of God. 15 But if a woman have long hair, it is a glory to her: FOR her hair is given her FOR a covering. 17 Now in this that I declare unto you I praise you not, that ye come together not FOR the better, but FOR the worse. 18 FOR first of all, when ye come together in the church, I hear that there be divisions among you; and I partly believe it. 19 FOR there must be also heresies among you, that they which are approved may be made manifest among you. 21 FOR in eating every one taketh before other his own supper: and one is hungry, and another is drunken. 23 FOR I have received of the Lord that which also I delivered unto you, That the Lord Jesus the same night in which he was betrayed took bread: 24 And when he had given thanks, he brake it, and said, Take, eat: this is my body, which is broken FOR you: this do in remembrance of me. 26 FOR as often as ye eat this bread, and drink this cup, ye do shew the Lord's death till he come. 29 FOR he that eateth and drinketh unworthily, eateth and drinketh damnation to himself, not discerning the Lord's body. 30 FOR this cause many are weak and sickly among you, and many sleep. 31 FOR if we would judge ourselves, we should not be judged. 33 Wherefore, my brethren, when ye come together to eat, tarry one FOR another. --MORE-- |
