2 KINGS 15 8 In the thirty and eighth year of Azariah king of Judah did Zachariah the son of Jeroboam reign over Israel in SAMARIA six months. 13 Shallum the son of Jabesh began to reign in the nine and thirtieth year of Uzziah king of Judah; and he reigned a full month in SAMARIA. 14 For Menahem the son of Gadi went up from Tirzah, and came to SAMARIA, and smote Shallum the son of Jabesh in SAMARIA, and slew him, and reigned in his stead. 17 In the nine and thirtieth year of Azariah king of Judah began Menahem the son of Gadi to reign over Israel, and reigned ten years in SAMARIA. 23 In the fiftieth year of Azariah king of Judah Pekahiah the son of Menahem began to reign over Israel in SAMARIA, and reigned two years. 25 But Pekah the son of Remaliah, a captain of his, conspired against him, and smote him in SAMARIA, in the palace of the king's house, with Argob and Arieh, and with him fifty men of the Gileadites: and he killed him, and reigned in his room. 27 In the two and fiftieth year of Azariah king of Judah Pekah the son of Remaliah began to reign over Israel in SAMARIA, and reigned twenty years. 2 KINGS 17 1 In the twelfth year of Ahaz king of Judah began Hoshea the son of Elah to reign in SAMARIA over Israel nine years. 5 Then the king of Assyria came up throughout all the land, and went up to SAMARIA, and besieged it three years. 6 In the ninth year of Hoshea the king of Assyria took SAMARIA, and carried Israel away into Assyria, and placed them in Halah and in Habor by the river of Gozan, and in the cities of the Medes. 24 And the king of Assyria brought men from Babylon, and from Cuthah, and from Ava, and from Hamath, and from Sepharvaim, and placed them in the cities of SAMARIA instead of the children of Israel: and they possessed SAMARIA, and dwelt in the cities thereof. 26 Wherefore they spake to the king of Assyria, saying, The nations which thou hast removed, and placed in the cities of SAMARIA, know not the manner of the God of the land: therefore he hath sent lions among them, and, behold, they slay them, because they know not the manner of the God of the land. 28 Then one of the priests whom they had carried away from SAMARIA came and dwelt in Bethel, and taught them how they should fear the LORD. 2 KINGS 18 9 And it came to pass in the fourth year of king Hezekiah, which was the seventh year of Hoshea son of Elah king of Israel, that Shalmaneser king of Assyria came up against SAMARIA, and besieged it. 10 And at the end of three years they took it: even in the sixth year of Hezekiah, that is in the ninth year of Hoshea king of Israel, SAMARIA was taken. 34 Where are the gods of Hamath, and of Arpad? where are the gods of Sepharvaim, Hena, and Ivah? have they delivered SAMARIA out of mine hand? 2 KINGS 19 6 And Isaiah said unto them, Thus shall ye say to your master, Thus saith the LORD, Be not AFRAID of the words which thou hast heard, with which the servants of the king of Assyria have blasphemed me. 2 KINGS 21 13 And I will stretch over Jerusalem the line of SAMARIA, and the plummet of the house of Ahab: and I will wipe Jerusalem as a man wipeth a dish, wiping it, and turning it upside down. 2 KINGS 23 18 And he said, Let him alone; let no man move his bones. So they let his bones alone, with the bones of the prophet that came out of SAMARIA. 19 And all the houses also of the high places that were in the cities of SAMARIA, which the kings of Israel had made to provoke the Lord to anger, Josiah took away, and did to them according to all the acts that he had done in Bethel. 2 KINGS 25 26 And all the people, both small and great, and the captains of the armies, arose, and came to Egypt: for they were AFRAID of the Chaldees. 1 CHRONICLES 1 41 The sons of Anah; Dishon. And the sons of Dishon; AMRAM, and Eshban, and Ithran, and Cheran. 1 CHRONICLES 6 2 And the sons of Kohath; AMRAM, Izhar, and Hebron, and Uzziel. 3 And the children of AMRAM; Aaron, and Moses, and Miriam. The sons also of Aaron; Nadab, and Abihu, Eleazar, and Ithamar. 18 And the sons of Kohath were, AMRAM, and Izhar, and Hebron, and Uzziel. 1 CHRONICLES 10 4 Then said Saul to his armourbearer, Draw thy sword, and thrust me through therewith; lest these uncircumcised come and abuse me. But his armourbearer would not; for he was sore AFRAID. So Saul took a sword, and fell upon it. 1 CHRONICLES 13 12 And David was AFRAID of God that day, saying, How shall I bring the ark of God home to me? 1 CHRONICLES 21 30 But David could not go before it to enquire of God: for he was AFRAID because of the sword of the angel of the LORD. 1 CHRONICLES 23 12 The sons of Kohath; AMRAM, Izhar, Hebron, and Uzziel, four. 13 The sons of AMRAM; Aaron and Moses: and Aaron was separated, that he should sanctify the most holy things, he and his sons for ever, to burn incense before the LORD, to minister unto him, and to bless in his name for ever. 1 CHRONICLES 24 20 And the rest of the sons of Levi were these: Of the sons of AMRAM; Shubael: of the sons of Shubael; Jehdeiah. 2 CHRONICLES 18 2 And after certain years he went down to Ahab to SAMARIA. And Ahab killed sheep and oxen for him in abundance, and for the people that he had with him, and persuaded him to go up with him to Ramothgilead. 9 And the king of Israel and Jehoshaphat king of Judah sat either of them on his throne, clothed in their robes, and they sat in a void place at the entering in of the gate of SAMARIA; and all the prophets prophesied before them. 2 CHRONICLES 20 15 And he said, Hearken ye, all Judah, and ye inhabitants of Jerusalem, and thou king Jehoshaphat, Thus saith the LORD unto you, Be not AFRAID nor dismayed by reason of this great multitude; for the battle is not yours, but God's. 2 CHRONICLES 22 9 And he sought Ahaziah: and they caught him, (for he was hid in SAMARIA,) and brought him to Jehu: and when they had slain him, they buried him: Because, said they, he is the son of Jehoshaphat, who sought the LORD with all his heart. So the house of Ahaziah had no power to keep still the kingdom. 2 CHRONICLES 25 13 But the soldiers of the army which Amaziah sent back, that they should not go with him to battle, fell upon the cities of Judah, from SAMARIA even unto Bethhoron, and smote three thousand of them, and took much spoil. 24 And he took all the gold and the silver, and all the vessels that were found in the house of God with Obededom, and the treasures of the king's house, the hostages also, and returned to SAMARIA. 2 CHRONICLES 28 8 And the children of Israel carried away captive of their brethren two hundred thousand, women, sons, and daughters, and took also away much spoil from them, and brought the spoil to SAMARIA. 9 But a prophet of the LORD was there, whose name was Oded: and he went out before the host that came to SAMARIA, and said unto them, Behold, because the LORD God of your fathers was wroth with Judah, he hath delivered them into your hand, and ye have slain them in a rage that reacheth up unto heaven. 15 And the men which were expressed by name rose up, and took the captives, and with the spoil clothed all that were naked among them, and arrayed them, and shod them, and gave them to eat and to drink, and anointed them, and carried all the feeble of them upon asses, and brought them to Jericho, the city of palm trees, to their brethren: then they returned to SAMARIA. 2 CHRONICLES 32 7 Be strong and courageous, be not AFRAID nor dismayed for the king of Assyria, nor for all the multitude that is with him: for there be more with us than with him: EZRA 4 10 And the rest of the nations whom the great and noble Asnapper brought over, and set in the cities of SAMARIA, and the rest that are on this side the river, and at such a time. 17 Then sent the king an answer unto Rehum the chancellor, and to Shimshai the scribe, and to the rest of their companions that dwell in SAMARIA, and unto the rest beyond the river, Peace, and at such a time. EZRA 10 34 Of the sons of Bani; Maadai, AMRAM, and Uel, NEHEMIAH 2 2 Wherefore the king said unto me, Why is thy countenance sad, seeing thou art not sick? this is nothing else but sorrow of heart. Then I was very sore AFRAID, NEHEMIAH 4 2 And he spake before his brethren and the army of SAMARIA, and said, What do these feeble Jews? will they fortify themselves? will they sacrifice? will they make an end in a day? will they revive the stones out of the heaps of the rubbish which are burned? 14 And I looked, and rose up, and said unto the nobles, and to the rulers, and to the rest of the people, Be not ye AFRAID of them: remember the LORD, which is great and terrible, and fight for your brethren, your sons, and your daughters, your wives, and your houses. NEHEMIAH 6 9 For they all made us AFRAID, saying, Their hands shall be weakened from the work, that it be not done. Now therefore, O God, strengthen my hands. 13 Therefore was he hired, that I should be AFRAID, and do so, and sin, and that they might have matter for an evil report, that they might reproach me. ESTHER 7 6 And Esther said, The adversary and enemy is this wicked Haman. Then Haman was AFRAID before the king and the queen. --MORE-- |
