DEUTERONOMY 31 9 And Moses wrote this law, and delivered it unto the priests the sons of Levi, which bare the ark of the COVENANT of the LORD, and unto all the elders of Israel. 16 And the LORD said unto Moses, Behold, thou shalt sleep with thy fathers; and this people will rise up, and go a whoring after the gods of the strangers of the land, whither they go to be among them, and will forsake me, and break my COVENANT which I have made with them. 20 For when I shall have brought them into the land which I sware unto their fathers, that floweth with milk and honey; and they shall have eaten and filled themselves, and waxen fat; then will they turn unto other gods, and serve them, and provoke me, and break my COVENANT. 25 That Moses commanded the Levites, which bare the ark of the COVENANT of the LORD, saying, 26 Take this book of the law, and put it in the side of the ark of the COVENANT of the LORD your God, that it may be there for a witness against thee. DEUTERONOMY 33 9 Who said unto his father and to his mother, I have not seen him; neither did he acknowledge his brethren, nor knew his own children: for they have observed thy word, and kept thy COVENANT. JOSHUA 3 3 And they commanded the people, saying, When ye see the ark of the COVENANT of the LORD your God, and the priests the Levites bearing it, then ye shall remove from your place, and go after it. 6 And Joshua spake unto the priests, saying, Take up the ark of the COVENANT, and pass over before the people. And they took up the ark of the COVENANT, and went before the people. 8 And thou shalt command the priests that bear the ark of the COVENANT, saying, When ye are come to the brink of the water of Jordan, ye shall stand still in Jordan. 11 Behold, the ark of the COVENANT of the LORD of all the earth passeth over before you into Jordan. 14 And it came to pass, when the people removed from their tents, to pass over Jordan, and the priests bearing the ark of the COVENANT before the people; 17 And the priests that bare the ark of the COVENANT of the LORD stood firm on dry ground in the midst of Jordan, and all the Israelites passed over on dry ground, until all the people were passed clean over Jordan. JOSHUA 4 7 Then ye shall answer them, That the waters of Jordan were cut off before the ark of the COVENANT of the LORD; when it passed over Jordan, the waters of Jordan were cut off: and these stones shall be for a memorial unto the children of Israel for ever. 9 And Joshua set up twelve stones in the midst of Jordan, in the place where the feet of the priests which bare the ark of the COVENANT stood: and they are there unto this day. 18 And it came to pass, when the priests that bare the ark of the COVENANT of the LORD were come up out of the midst of Jordan, and the soles of the priests' feet were lifted up unto the dry land, that the waters of Jordan returned unto their place, and flowed over all his banks, as they did before. JOSHUA 6 6 And Joshua the son of Nun called the priests, and said unto them, Take up the ark of the COVENANT, and let seven priests bear seven trumpets of rams' horns before the ark of the LORD. 8 And it came to pass, when Joshua had spoken unto the people, that the seven priests bearing the seven trumpets of rams' horns passed on before the LORD, and blew with the trumpets: and the ark of the COVENANT of the LORD followed them. JOSHUA 7 11 Israel hath sinned, and they have also transgressed my COVENANT which I commanded them: for they have even taken of the accursed thing, and have also stolen, and dissembled also, and they have put it even among their own stuff. 15 And it shall be, that he that is taken with the accursed thing shall be burnt with fire, he and all that he hath: because he hath transgressed the COVENANT of the LORD, and because he hath wrought folly in Israel. JOSHUA 8 33 And all Israel, and their elders, and officers, and their judges, stood on this side the ark and on that side before the priests the Levites, which bare the ark of the COVENANT of the LORD, as well the stranger, as he that was born among them; half of them over against mount Gerizim, and half of them over against mount Ebal; as Moses the servant of the LORD had commanded before, that they should bless the people of Israel. JOSHUA 23 16 When ye have transgressed the COVENANT of the LORD your God, which he commanded you, and have gone and served other gods, and bowed yourselves to them; then shall the anger of the LORD be kindled against you, and ye shall perish quickly from off the good land which he hath given unto you. JOSHUA 24 25 So Joshua made a COVENANT with the people that day, and set them a statute and an ordinance in Shechem. JUDGES 2 1 And an angel of the LORD came up from Gilgal to Bochim, and said, I made you to go up out of Egypt, and have brought you unto the land which I sware unto your fathers; and I said, I will never break my COVENANT with you. 20 And the anger of the LORD was hot against Israel; and he said, Because that this people hath transgressed my COVENANT which I commanded their fathers, and have not hearkened unto my voice; JUDGES 20 27 And the children of Israel enquired of the LORD, (for the ark of the COVENANT of God was there in those days, 1 SAMUEL 4 3 And when the people were come into the camp, the elders of Israel said, Wherefore hath the LORD smitten us to day before the Philistines? Let us fetch the ark of the COVENANT of the LORD out of Shiloh unto us, that, when it cometh among us, it may save us out of the hand of our enemies. 4 So the people sent to Shiloh, that they might bring from thence the ark of the COVENANT of the LORD of hosts, which dwelleth between the cherubims: and the two sons of Eli, Hophni and Phinehas, were there with the ark of the COVENANT of God. 5 And when the ark of the COVENANT of the LORD came into the camp, all Israel shouted with a great shout, so that the earth rang again. 1 SAMUEL 11 1 Then Nahash the Ammonite came up, and encamped against Jabeshgilead: and all the men of Jabesh said unto Nahash, Make a COVENANT with us, and we will serve thee. 2 And Nahash the Ammonite answered them, On this condition will I make a COVENANT with you, that I may thrust out all your right eyes, and lay it for a reproach upon all Israel. 1 SAMUEL 18 3 Then Jonathan and David made a COVENANT, because he loved him as his own soul. 1 SAMUEL 20 8 Therefore thou shalt deal kindly with thy servant; for thou hast brought thy servant into a COVENANT of the LORD with thee: notwithstanding, if there be in me iniquity, slay me thyself; for why shouldest thou bring me to thy father? 16 So Jonathan made a COVENANT with the house of David, saying, Let the LORD even require it at the hand of David's enemies. 1 SAMUEL 23 18 And they two made a COVENANT before the LORD: and David abode in the wood, and Jonathan went to his house. 2 SAMUEL 15 24 And lo Zadok also, and all the Levites were with him, bearing the ark of the COVENANT of God: and they set down the ark of God; and Abiathar went up, until all the people had done passing out of the city. 2 SAMUEL 23 5 Although my house be not so with God; yet he hath made with me an everlasting COVENANT, ordered in all things, and sure: for this is all my salvation, and all my desire, although he make it not to grow. 1 KINGS 3 15 And Solomon awoke; and, behold, it was a dream. And he came to Jerusalem, and stood before the ark of the COVENANT of the LORD, and offered up burnt offerings, and offered peace offerings, and made a feast to all his servants. 1 KINGS 6 19 And the oracle he prepared in the house within, to set there the ark of the COVENANT of the LORD. 1 KINGS 8 1 Then Solomon assembled the elders of Israel, and all the heads of the tribes, the chief of the fathers of the children of Israel, unto king Solomon in Jerusalem, that they might bring up the ark of the COVENANT of the LORD out of the city of David, which is Zion. 6 And the priests brought in the ark of the COVENANT of the LORD unto his place, into the oracle of the house, to the most holy place, even under the wings of the cherubims. 9 There was nothing in the ark save the two tables of stone, which Moses put there at Horeb, when the LORD made a COVENANT with the children of Israel, when they came out of the land of Egypt. 21 And I have set there a place for the ark, wherein is the COVENANT of the LORD, which he made with our fathers, when he brought them out of the land of Egypt. 23 And he said, LORD God of Israel, there is no God like thee, in heaven above, or on earth beneath, who keepest COVENANT and mercy with thy servants that walk before thee with all their heart: 1 KINGS 11 11 Wherefore the LORD said unto Solomon, Forasmuch as this is done of thee, and thou hast not kept my COVENANT and my statutes, which I have commanded thee, I will surely rend the kingdom from thee, and will give it to thy servant. 1 KINGS 19 10 And he said, I have been very jealous for the LORD God of hosts: for the children of Israel have forsaken thy COVENANT, thrown down thine altars, and slain thy prophets with the sword; and I, even I only, am left; and they seek my life, to take it away. 14 And he said, I have been very jealous for the LORD God of hosts: because the children of Israel have forsaken thy COVENANT, thrown down thine altars, and slain thy prophets with the sword; and I, even I only, am left; and they seek my life, to take it away. 1 KINGS 20 34 And Ben-hadad said unto him, The cities, which my father took from thy father, I will restore; and thou shalt make streets for thee in Damascus, as my father made in Samaria. Then said Ahab, I will send thee away with this COVENANT. So he made a COVENANT with him, and sent him away. 2 KINGS 11 4 And the seventh year Jehoiada sent and fetched the rulers over hundreds, with the captains and the guard, and brought them to him into the house of the LORD, and made a COVENANT with them, and took an oath of them in the house of the LORD, and shewed them the king's son. 17 And Jehoiada made a COVENANT between the LORD and the king and the people, that they should be the LORD's people; between the king also and the people. 2 KINGS 13 23 And the LORD was gracious unto them, and had compassion on them, and had respect unto them, because of his COVENANT with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, and would not destroy them, neither cast he them from his presence as yet. --MORE-- |
