ISAIAH 13 8 And they shall be AFRAID: pangs and sorrows shall take hold of them; they shall be in pain as a woman that travaileth: they shall be amazed one at another; their faces shall be as flames. ISAIAH 14 13 For thou HAST said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north: 20 Thou shalt not be joined with them in burial, because thou HAST destroyed thy land, and slain thy people: the seed of evildoers shall never be renowned. ISAIAH 17 2 The cities of Aroer are forsaken: they shall be for flocks, which shall lie down, and none shall make them AFRAID. 10 Because thou HAST forgotten the God of thy salvation, and HAST not been mindful of the rock of thy strength, therefore shalt thou plant pleasant plants, and shalt set it with strange slips: ISAIAH 19 16 In that day shall Egypt be like unto women: and it shall be AFRAID and fear because of the shaking of the hand of the LORD of hosts, which he shaketh over it. 17 And the land of Judah shall be a terror unto Egypt, every one that maketh mention thereof shall be AFRAID in himself, because of the counsel of the LORD of hosts, which he hath determined against it. ISAIAH 20 5 And they shall be AFRAID and ashamed of Ethiopia their expectation, and of Egypt their glory. ISAIAH 22 16 What HAST thou here? and whom HAST thou here, that thou HAST hewed thee out a sepulchre here, as he that heweth him out a sepulchre on high, and that graveth an habitation for himself in a rock? ISAIAH 23 16 Take an harp, go about the city, thou harlot that HAST been forgotten; make sweet melody, sing many songs, that thou mayest be remembered. ISAIAH 25 1 O Lord, thou art my God; I will exalt thee, I will praise thy name; for thou HAST done wonderful things; thy counsels of old are faithfulness and truth. 2 For thou HAST made of a city an heap; of a defenced city a ruin: a palace of strangers to be no city; it shall never be built. 4 For thou HAST been a strength to the poor, a strength to the needy in his distress, a refuge from the storm, a shadow from the heat, when the blast of the terrible ones is as a storm against the wall. ISAIAH 26 12 LORD, thou wilt ordain peace for us: for thou also HAST wrought all our works in us. 14 They are dead, they shall not live; they are deceased, they shall not rise: therefore HAST thou visited and destroyed them, and made all their memory to perish. 15 Thou HAST increased the nation, O LORD, thou HAST increased the nation: thou art glorified: thou hadst removed it far unto all the ends of the earth. ISAIAH 31 4 For thus hath the LORD spoken unto me, Like as the lion and the young lion roaring on his prey, when a multitude of shepherds is called forth against him, he will not be AFRAID of their voice, nor abase himself for the noise of them: so shall the LORD of hosts come down to fight for mount Zion, and for the hill thereof. 9 And he shall pass over to his strong hold for fear, and his princes shall be AFRAID of the ensign, saith the LORD, whose fire is in Zion, and his furnace in Jerusalem. ISAIAH 33 14 The sinners in Zion are AFRAID; fearfulness hath surprised the hypocrites. Who among us shall dwell with the devouring fire? who among us shall dwell with everlasting burnings? ISAIAH 37 6 And Isaiah said unto them, Thus shall ye say unto your master, Thus saith the LORD, Be not AFRAID of the words that thou HAST heard, wherewith the servants of the king of Assyria have blasphemed me. 11 Behold, thou HAST heard what the kings of Assyria have done to all lands by destroying them utterly; and shalt thou be delivered? 16 O LORD of hosts, God of Israel, that dwellest between the cherubims, thou art the God, even thou alone, of all the kingdoms of the earth: thou HAST made heaven and earth. 21 Then Isaiah the son of Amoz sent unto Hezekiah, saying, Thus saith the LORD God of Israel, Whereas thou HAST prayed to me against Sennacherib king of Assyria: 23 Whom HAST thou reproached and blasphemed? and against whom HAST thou exalted thy voice, and lifted up thine eyes on high? even against the Holy One of Israel. 24 By thy servants HAST thou reproached the Lord, and HAST said, By the multitude of my chariots am I come up to the height of the mountains, to the sides of Lebanon; and I will cut down the tall cedars thereof, and the choice fir trees thereof: and I will enter into the height of his border, and the forest of his Carmel. 26 HAST thou not heard long ago, how I have done it; and of ancient times, that I have formed it? now have I brought it to pass, that thou shouldest be to lay waste defenced cities into ruinous heaps. ISAIAH 38 17 Behold, for peace I had great bitterness: but thou HAST in love to my soul delivered it from the pit of corruption: for thou HAST cast all my sins behind thy back. ISAIAH 39 8 Then said Hezekiah to Isaiah, Good is the word of the LORD which thou HAST spoken. He said moreover, For there shall be peace and truth in my days. ISAIAH 40 9 O Zion, that bringest good tidings, get thee up into the high mountain; O Jerusalem, that bringest good tidings, lift up thy voice with strength; lift it up, be not AFRAID; say unto the cities of Judah, Behold your God! 28 HAST thou not known? HAST thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary? there is no searching of his understanding. ISAIAH 41 5 The isles saw it, and feared; the ends of the earth were AFRAID, drew near, and came. ISAIAH 43 4 Since thou wast precious in my sight, thou HAST been honourable, and I have loved thee: therefore will I give men for thee, and people for thy life. 22 But thou HAST not called upon me, O Jacob; but thou HAST been weary of me, O Israel. 23 Thou HAST not brought me the small cattle of thy burnt offerings; neither HAST thou honoured me with thy sacrifices. I have not caused thee to serve with an offering, nor wearied thee with incense. 24 Thou HAST bought me no sweet cane with money, neither HAST thou filled me with the fat of thy sacrifices: but thou HAST made me to serve with thy sins, thou HAST wearied me with thine iniquities. ISAIAH 44 8 Fear ye not, neither be AFRAID: have not I told thee from that time, and have declared it? ye are even my witnesses. Is there a God beside me? yea, there is no God; I know not any. ISAIAH 45 4 For Jacob my servant's sake, and Israel mine elect, I have even called thee by thy name: I have surnamed thee, though thou HAST not known me. 5 I am the LORD, and there is none else, there is no God beside me: I girded thee, though thou HAST not known me: 10 Woe unto him that saith unto his father, What begettest thou? or to the woman, What HAST thou brought forth? ISAIAH 47 6 I was wroth with my people, I have polluted mine inheritance, and given them into thine hand: thou didst shew them no mercy; upon the ancient HAST thou very heavily laid thy yoke. 10 For thou HAST trusted in thy wickedness: thou HAST said, None seeth me. Thy wisdom and thy knowledge, it hath perverted thee; and thou HAST said in thine heart, I am, and none else beside me. 12 Stand now with thine enchantments, and with the multitude of thy sorceries, wherein thou HAST laboured from thy youth; if so be thou shalt be able to profit, if so be thou mayest prevail. 15 Thus shall they be unto thee with whom thou HAST laboured, even thy merchants, from thy youth: they shall wander every one to his quarter; none shall save thee. ISAIAH 48 6 Thou HAST heard, see all this; and will not ye declare it? I have shewed thee new things from this time, even hidden things, and thou didst not know them. ISAIAH 49 20 The children which thou shalt have, after thou HAST lost the other, shall say again in thine ears, The place is too strait for me: give place to me that I may dwell. ISAIAH 51 7 Hearken unto me, ye that know righteousness, the people in whose heart is my law; fear ye not the reproach of men, neither be ye AFRAID of their revilings. 12 I, even I, am he that comforteth you: who art thou, that thou shouldest be AFRAID of a man that shall die, and of the son of man which shall be made as grass; 13 And forgettest the LORD thy maker, that hath stretched forth the heavens, and laid the foundations of the earth; and HAST feared continually every day because of the fury of the oppressor, as if he were ready to destroy? and where is the fury of the oppressor? 17 Awake, awake, stand up, O Jerusalem, which HAST drunk at the hand of the LORD the cup of his fury; thou HAST drunken the dregs of the cup of trembling, and wrung them out. 23 But I will put it into the hand of them that afflict thee; which have said to thy soul, Bow down, that we may go over: and thou HAST laid thy body as the ground, and as the street, to them that went over. --MORE-- |
