PSALM 78 2 I will open my mouth in A parable: I will utter dark sayings of old: 5 For he established A testimony in Jacob, and appointed A law in Israel, which he commanded our fathers, that they should make them known to their children: 8 And might not be as their fathers, A stubborn and rebellious generation; A generation that set not their heart aright, and whose spirit was not stedfast with God. 14 In the daytime also he led them with A cloud, and all the night with A light of fire. 19 Yea, they spake against God; they said, Can God furnish A table in the wilderness? 21 Therefore the LORD heard this, and was wroth: so A fire was kindled against Jacob, and anger also came up against Israel; 38 But he, being full of compassion, forgave their iniquity, and destroyed them not: yea, many A time turned he his anger away, and did not stir up all his wrath. 39 For he remembered that they were but flesh; A wind that passeth away, and cometh not again. 50 He made A way to his anger; he spared not their soul from death, but gave their life over to the pestilence; 52 But made his own people to go forth like sheep, and guided them in the wilderness like A flock. 57 But turned back, and dealt unfaithfully like their fathers: they were turned aside like A deceitful bow. 65 Then the LORD awaked as one out of sleep, and like A mighty man that shouteth by reason of wine. 66 And he smote his enemies in the hinder parts: he put them to A perpetual reproach. PSALM 79 4 We are become A reproach to our neighbours, A scorn and derision to them that are round about us. PSALM 80 1 Give ear, O Shepherd of Israel, thou that leadest Joseph like A flock; thou that dwellest between the cherubims, shine forth. 6 Thou makest us A strife unto our neighbours: and our enemies laugh among themselves. 8 Thou hast brought A vine out of Egypt: thou hast cast out the heathen, and planted it. PSALM 81 1 Sing aloud unto God our strength: make A joyful noise unto the God of Jacob. 2 Take A psalm, and bring hither the timbrel, the pleasant harp with the psaltery. 4 For this was A statute for Israel, and A law of the God of Jacob. 5 This he ordained in Joseph for A testimony, when he went out through the land of Egypt: where I heard A language that I understood not. PSALM 83 2 For, lo, thine enemies make A tumult: and they that hate thee have lifted up the head. 4 They have said, Come, and let us cut them off from being A nation; that the name of Israel may be no more in remembrance. 13 O my God, make them like A wheel; as the stubble before the wind. 14 As the fire burneth A wood, and as the flame setteth the mountains on fire; PSALM 84 3 Yea, the sparrow hath found an house, and the swallow A nest for herself, where she may lay her young, even thine altars, O LORD of hosts, my King, and my God. 6 Who passing through the valley of Baca make it A well; the rain also filleth the pools. 10 For A day in thy courts is better than A thousand. I had rather be A doorkeeper in the house of my God, than to dwell in the tents of wickedness. 11 For the LORD God is A sun and shield: the LORD will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly. PSALM 86 15 But thou, O Lord, art A God full of compassion, and gracious, long suffering, and plenteous in mercy and truth. 17 Shew me A token for good; that they which hate me may see it, and be ashamed: because thou, LORD, hast holpen me, and comforted me. PSALM 88 4 I am counted with them that go down into the pit: I am as A man that hath no strength: PSALM 89 3 I have made A covenant with my chosen, I have sworn unto David my servant, 8 O LORD God of hosts, who is A strong LORD like unto thee? or to thy faithfulness round about thee? 13 Thou hast A mighty arm: strong is thy hand, and high is thy right hand. 37 It shall be established for ever as the moon, and as A faithful witness in heaven. Selah. 41 All that pass by the way spoil him: he is A reproach to his neighbours. PSALM 90 4 For A thousand years in thy sight are but as yesterday when it is past, and as A watch in the night. 5 Thou carriest them away as with A flood; they are as A sleep: in the morning they are like grass which groweth up. 9 For all our days are passed away in thy wrath: we spend our years as A tale that is told. PSALM 91 2 I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my FORTRESS: my God; in him will I trust. 7 A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee. 12 They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against A stone. PSALM 92 1 IT IS A GOOD THING TO GIVE THANKS UNTO THE LORD, AND TO SING PRAISES UNTO THY NAME, O MOST HIGH: 3 Upon an instrument of ten strings, and upon the psaltery; upon the harp with A solemn sound. 6 A brutish man knoweth not; neither doth A fool understand this. 12 The righteous shall flourish like the palm tree: he shall grow like A cedar in Lebanon. PSALM 94 2 Lift up thyself, thou judge of the earth: render A reward to the proud. 20 Shall the throne of iniquity have fellowship with thee, which frameth mischief by A law? PSALM 95 1 O come, let us sing unto the LORD: let us make A joyful noise to the rock of our salvation. 2 Let us come before his presence with thanksgiving, and make A joyful noise unto him with psalms. 3 For the LORD is A great God, and A great King above all gods. 10 Forty years long was I grieved with this generation, and said, It is A people that do err in their heart, and they have not known my ways: --MORE-- |
