ISAIAH 37 3 And they said unto him, Thus saith Hezekiah, This day is A day of trouble, and of rebuke, and of blasphemy: for the children are come to the birth, and there is not strength to bring forth. 7 Behold, I will send A blast upon him, and he shall hear A rumour, and return to his own land; and I will cause him to fall by the sword in his own land. 18 Of A truth, LORD, the kings of Assyria have laid waste all the nations, and their countries, 30 And this shall be A sign unto thee, Ye shall eat this year such as groweth of itself; and the second year that which springeth of the same: and in the third year sow ye, and reap, and plant vineyards, and eat the fruit thereof. 32 For out of Jerusalem shall go forth A remnant, and they that escape out of mount Zion: the zeal of the LORD of hosts shall do this. 33 Therefore thus saith the LORD concerning the king of Assyria, He shall not come into this city, nor shoot an arrow there, nor come before it with shields, nor cast A bank against it. 36 Then the angel of the LORD went forth, and smote in the camp of the Assyrians A hundred and fourscore and five thousand: and when they arose early in the morning, behold, they were all dead corpses. ISAIAH 38 3 And said, Remember now, O LORD, I beseech thee, how I have walked before thee in truth and with A perfect heart, and have done that which is good in thy sight. And Hezekiah wept sore. 7 And this shall be A sign unto thee from the LORD, that the LORD will do this thing that he hath spoken; 12 Mine age is departed, and is removed from me as A shepherd's tent: I have cut off like A weaver my life: he will cut me off with pining sickness: from day even to night wilt thou make an end of me. 13 I reckoned till morning, that, as A lion, so will he break all my bones: from day even to night wilt thou make an end of me. 14 Like A crane or A swallow, so did I chatter: I did mourn as A dove: mine eyes fail with looking upward: O LORD, I am oppressed; undertake for me. 21 For Isaiah had said, Let them take A lump of figs, and lay it for A plaister upon the boil, and he shall recover. ISAIAH 39 1 At that time Merodachbaladan, the son of Baladan, king of Babylon, sent letters and A present to Hezekiah: for he had heard that he had been sick, and was recovered. 3 Then came Isaiah the prophet unto king Hezekiah, and said unto him, What said these men? and from whence came they unto thee? And Hezekiah said, They are come from A far country unto me, even from Babylon. ISAIAH 40 3 The voice of him that crieth in the wilderness, Prepare ye the way of the LORD, make straight in the desert A highway for our God. 11 He shall feed his flock like A shepherd: he shall gather the lambs with his arm, and carry them in his bosom, and shall gently lead those that are with young. 12 Who hath measured the waters in the hollow of his hand, and meted out heaven with the span, and comprehended the dust of the earth in A measure, and weighed the mountains in scales, and the hills in A balance? 15 Behold, the nations are as A drop of A bucket, and are counted as the small dust of the balance: behold, he taketh up the isles as A very little thing. 16 And Lebanon is not sufficient to burn, nor the beasts thereof sufficient for A burnt offering. 19 The workman melteth A graven image, and the goldsmith spreadeth it over with gold, and casteth silver chains. 20 He that is so impoverished that he hath no oblation chooseth A tree that will not rot; he seeketh unto him A cunning workman to prepare A graven image, that shall not be moved. 22 It is he that sitteth upon the circle of the earth, and the inhabitants thereof are as grasshoppers; that stretcheth out the heavens as A curtain, and spreadeth them out as A tent to dwell in: ISAIAH 41 12 Thou shalt seek them, and shalt not find them, even them that contended with thee: they that war against thee shall be as nothing, and as A thing of nought. 15 Behold, I will make thee A new sharp threshing instrument having teeth: thou shalt thresh the mountains, and beat them small, and shalt make the hills as chaff. 18 I will open rivers in high places, and fountains in the midst of the valleys: I will make the wilderness A pool of water, and the dry land springs of water. 28 For I beheld, and there was no man; even among them, and there was no counsellor, that, when I asked of them, could answer A word. ISAIAH 42 3 A bruised reed shall he not break, and the smoking flax shall he not quench: he shall bring forth judgment unto truth. 6 I the LORD have called thee in righteousness, and will hold thine hand, and will keep thee, and give thee for A covenant of the people, for A light of the Gentiles; 10 Sing unto the LORD A new song, and his praise from the end of the earth, ye that go down to the sea, and all that is therein; the isles, and the inhabitants thereof. 13 The LORD shall go forth as A mighty man, he shall stir up jealousy like A man of war: he shall cry, yea, roar; he shall prevail against his enemies. 14 I have long time holden my peace; I have been still, and refrained myself: now will I cry like A travailing woman; I will destroy and devour at once. 16 And I will bring the blind by A way that they knew not; I will lead them in paths that they have not known: I will make darkness light before them, and crooked things straight. These things will I do unto them, and not forsake them. 22 But this is A people robbed and spoiled; they are all of them snared in holes, and they are hid in prison houses: they are for A prey, and none delivereth; for A spoil, and none saith, Restore. 24 Who gave Jacob for A spoil, and Israel to the robbers? did not the LORD, he against whom we have sinned? for they would not walk in his ways, neither were they obedient unto his law. ISAIAH 43 16 Thus saith the LORD, which maketh A way in the sea, and A path in the mighty waters; 19 Behold, I will do A new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make A way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert. ISAIAH 44 8 Fear ye not, neither be afraid: have not I told thee from that time, and have declared it? ye are even my witnesses. Is there A God beside me? yea, there is no God; I know not any. 9 They that make A graven image are all of them vanity; and their delectable things shall not profit; and they are their own witnesses; they see not, nor know; that they may be ashamed. 10 Who hath formed A god, or molten A graven image that is profitable for nothing? 13 The carpenter stretcheth out his rule; he marketh it out with A line; he fitteth it with planes, and he marketh it out with the compass, and maketh it after the figure of A man, according to the beauty of A man; that it may remain in the house. 15 Then shall it be for A man to burn: for he will take thereof, and warm himself; yea, he kindleth it, and baketh bread; yea, he maketh A god, and worshippeth it; he maketh it A graven image, and falleth down thereto. 17 And the residue thereof he maketh A god, even his graven image: he falleth down unto it, and worshippeth it, and prayeth unto it, and saith, Deliver me; for thou art my god. 19 And none considereth in his heart, neither is there knowledge nor understanding to say, I have burned part of it in the fire; yea, also I have baked bread upon the coals thereof; I have roasted flesh, and eaten it: and shall I make the residue thereof an abomination? shall I fall down to the stock of A tree? 20 He feedeth on ashes: A deceived heart hath turned him aside, that he cannot deliver his soul, nor say, Is there not A lie in my right hand? 22 I have blotted out, as A thick cloud, thy transgressions, and, as A cloud, thy sins: return unto me; for I have redeemed thee. ISAIAH 45 15 Verily thou art A God that hidest thyself, O God of Israel, the Saviour. 19 I have not spoken in secret, in A dark place of the earth: I said not unto the seed of Jacob, Seek ye me in vain: I the LORD speak righteousness, I declare things that are right. 20 Assemble yourselves and come; draw near together, ye that are escaped of the nations: they have no knowledge that set up the wood of their graven image, and pray unto A god that cannot save. 21 Tell ye, and bring them near; yea, let them take counsel together: who hath declared this from ancient time? who hath told it from that time? have not I the LORD? and there is no God else beside me; A just God and A Saviour; there is none beside me. --MORE-- |
