LUKE 15 8 Either what woman having ten pieces of silver, if she lose one piece, doth not light A candle, and sweep the house, and seek diligently till she find it? 11 And he said, A certain man had two sons: 13 And not many days after the younger son gathered all together, and took his journey into A far country, and there wasted his substance with riotous living. 14 And when he had spent all, there arose A mighty famine in that land; and he began to be in want. 15 And he went and joined himself to A citizen of that country; and he sent him into his fields to feed swine. 20 And he arose, and came to his father. But when he was yet A great way off, his father saw him, and had compassion, and ran, and fell on his neck, and kissed him. 22 But the father said to his servants, Bring forth the best robe, and put it on him; and put A ring on his hand, and shoes on his feet: 29 And he answering said to his father, Lo, these many years do I serve thee, neither transgressed I at any time thy commandment: and yet thou never gavest me A kid, that I might make merry with my friends: LUKE 16 1 And he said also unto his disciples, There was A certain rich man, which had A steward; and the same was accused unto him that he had wasted his goods. 19 There was A certain rich man, which was clothed in purple and fine linen, and fared sumptuously every day: 20 And there was A certain beggar named Lazarus, which was laid at his gate, full of sores, 26 And beside all this, between us and you there is A great gulf fixed: so that they which would pass from hence to you cannot; neither can they pass to us, that would come from thence. LUKE 17 2 It were better for him that A millstone were hanged about his neck, and he cast into the sea, than that he should offend one of these little ones. 4 And if he trespass against thee seven times in A day, and seven times in A day turn again to thee, saying, I repent; thou shalt forgive him. 6 And the Lord said, If ye had faith as A grain of mustard seed, ye might say unto this sycamine tree, Be thou plucked up by the root, and be thou planted in the sea; and it should obey you. 7 But which of you, having A servant plowing or feeding cattle, will say unto him by and by, when he is come from the field, Go and sit down to meat? 12 And as he entered into A certain village, there met him ten men that were lepers, which stood afar off: 15 And one of them, when he saw that he was healed, turned back, and with A loud voice glorified God, 16 And fell down on his face at his feet, giving him thanks: and he was A Samaritan. LUKE 18 1 And he spake A parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint; 2 Saying, There was in A city A judge, which feared not God, neither regarded man: 3 And there was A widow in that city; and she came unto him, saying, Avenge me of mine adversary. 4 And he would not for A while: but afterward he said within himself, Though I fear not God, nor regard man; 10 Two men went up into the temple to pray; the one A Pharisee, and the other A publican. 13 And the publican, standing afar off, would not lift up so much as his eyes unto heaven, but smote upon his breast, saying, God be merciful to me A sinner. 17 Verily I say unto you, Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as A little child shall in no wise enter therein. 18 And A certain ruler asked him, saying, Good Master, what shall I do to inherit eternal life? 25 For it is easier for A camel to go through A needle's eye, than for A rich man to enter into the kingdom of God. 35 And it came to pass, that as he was come nigh unto Jericho, A certain blind man sat by the way side begging: LUKE 19 2 And, behold, there was A man named Zacchaeus, which was the chief among the publicans, and he was rich. 4 And he ran before, and climbed up into A sycomore tree to see him: for he was to pass that way. 5 And when Jesus came to the place, he looked up, and saw him, and said unto him, Zacchaeus, make haste, and come down; for to day I must ABIDE at thy house. 7 And when they saw it, they all murmured, saying, That he was gone to be guest with A man that is A sinner. 9 And Jesus said unto him, This day is salvation come to this house, forsomuch as he also is A son of Abraham. 11 And as they heard these things, he added and spake A parable, because he was nigh to Jerusalem, and because they thought that the kingdom of God should immediately appear. 12 He said therefore, A certain nobleman went into A far country to receive for himself A kingdom, and to return. 14 But his citizens hated him, and sent A message after him, saying, We will not have this man to reign over us. 17 And he said unto him, Well, thou good servant: because thou hast been faithful in A very little, have thou authority over ten cities. 20 And another came, saying, Lord, behold, here is thy pound, which I have kept laid up in A napkin: 30 Saying, Go ye into the village over against you; in the which at your entering ye shall find A colt tied, whereon yet never man sat: loose him, and bring him hither. 37 And when he was come nigh, even now at the descent of the mount of Olives, the whole multitude of the disciples began to rejoice and praise God with A loud voice for all the mighty works that they had seen; 43 For the days shall come upon thee, that thine enemies shall cast A trench about thee, and compass thee round, and keep thee in on every side, 46 Saying unto them, It is written, My house is the house of prayer: but ye have made it A den of thieves. LUKE 20 6 But and if we say, Of men; all the people will stone us: for they be persuaded that John was A prophet. 9 Then began he to speak to the people this parable; A certain man planted A vineyard, and let it forth to husbandmen, and went into A far country for A long time. 10 And at the season he sent A servant to the husbandmen, that they should give him of the fruit of the vineyard: but the husbandmen beat him, and sent him away empty. 12 And again he sent A third: and they wounded him also, and cast him out. 24 Shew me A penny. Whose image and superscription hath it? They answered and said, Caesar's. 28 Saying, Master, Moses wrote unto us, If any man's brother die, having A wife, and he die without children, that his brother should take his wife, and raise up seed unto his brother. 29 There were therefore seven brethren: and the first took A wife, and died without children. 38 For he is not A God of the dead, but of the living: for all live unto him. 47 Which devour widows' houses, and for A shew make long prayers: the same shall receive greater damnation. --MORE-- |
