HOSEA 6 10 I have seen AN horrible thing in the house of Israel: there is the whoredom of Ephraim, Israel is defiled. 11 Also, O Judah, he hath set AN harvest for thee, when I returned the captivity of my people. HOSEA 7 4 They are all adulterers, as AN oven heated by the baker, who ceaseth from raising after he hath kneaded the dough, until it be leavened. 6 For they have made ready their heart like AN oven, whiles they lie in wait: their baker sleepeth all the night; in the morning it burneth as a flaming fire. 7 They are all hot as AN oven, and have devoured their judges; all their kings are fallen: there is none among them that calleth unto me. HOSEA 8 1 Set the trumpet to thy mouth. He shall come as AN eagle against the house of the LORD, because they have transgressed my covenant, and trespassed against my law. HOSEA 10 1 Israel is AN empty vine, he bringeth forth fruit unto himself: according to the multitude of his fruit he hath increased the altars; according to the goodness of his land they have made goodly images. 11 And Ephraim is as AN heifer that is taught, and loveth to tread out the corn; but I passed over upon her fair neck: I will make Ephraim to ride; Judah shall plow, and Jacob shall break his clods. HOSEA 13 13 The sorrows of a travailing woman shall come upon him: he is AN unwise son; for he should not stay long in the place of the breaking forth of children. 15 Though he be fruitful among his brethren, AN east wind shall come, the wind of the LORD shall come up from the wilderness, and his spring shall become dry, and his fountain shall be dried up: he shall spoil the treasure of all pleasant vessels. JOEL 2 1 Blow ye the trumpet in Zion, and sound AN alarm in my holy mountain: let all the inhabitants of the land tremble: for the day of the LORD cometh, for it is nigh at hand; JOEL 3 3 And they have cast lots for my people; and have given a boy for AN harlot, and sold a girl for wine, that they might drink. AMOS 1 1 The words of AMOS, who was among the herdmen of Tekoa, which he saw concerning Israel in the days of Uzziah king of Judah, and in the days of Jeroboam the son of Joash king of Israel, two years before the earthquake. AMOS 3 11 Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; AN adversary there shall be even round about the land; and he shall bring down thy strength from thee, and thy palaces shall be spoiled. 12 Thus saith the LORD; As the shepherd taketh out of the mouth of the lion two legs, or a piece of AN ear; so shall the children of Israel be taken out that dwell in Samaria in the corner of a bed, and in Damascus in a couch. 15 And I will smite the winter house with the summer house; and the houses of ivory shall perish, and the great houses shall have AN end, saith the LORD. AMOS 5 3 For thus saith the Lord GOD; The city that went out by a thousand shall leave AN hundred, and that which went forth by AN hundred shall leave ten, to the house of Israel. 13 Therefore the prudent shall keep silence in that time; for it is AN evil time. AMOS 7 2 And it came to pass, that when they had made AN end of eating the grass of the land, then I said, O Lord GOD, forgive, I beseech thee: by whom shall Jacob arise? for he is small. 8 And the LORD said unto me, AMOS, what seest thou? And I said, A plumbline. Then said the LORD, Behold, I will set a plumbline in the midst of my people Israel: I will not again pass by them any more: 10 Then Amaziah the priest of Bethel sent to Jeroboam king of Israel, saying, AMOS hath conspired against thee in the midst of the house of Israel: the land is not able to bear all his words. 11 For thus AMOS saith, Jeroboam shall die by the sword, and Israel shall surely be led away captive out of their own land. 12 Also Amaziah said unto AMOS, O thou seer, go, flee thee away into the land of Judah, and there eat bread, and prophesy there: 14 Then answered AMOS, and said to Amaziah, I was no prophet, neither was I a prophet's son; but I was AN herdman, and a gatherer of sycomore fruit: 17 Therefore thus saith the LORD; Thy wife shall be AN harlot in the city, and thy sons and thy daughters shall fall by the sword, and thy land shall be divided by line; and thou shalt die in a polluted land: and Israel shall surely go into captivity forth of his land. AMOS 8 2 And he said, AMOS, what seest thou? And I said, A basket of summer fruit. Then said the LORD unto me, The end is come upon my people of Israel; I will not again pass by them any more. 10 And I will turn your feasts into mourning, and all your songs into lamentation; and I will bring up sackcloth upon all loins, and baldness upon every head; and I will make it as the mourning of AN only son, and the end thereof as a bitter day. OBADIAH 1 1 The vision of Obadiah. Thus saith the Lord GOD concerning Edom; We have heard a rumour from the LORD, and AN ambassador is sent among the heathen, Arise ye, and let us rise up against her in battle. JONAH 1 9 And he said unto them, I am AN Hebrew; and I fear the LORD, the God of heaven, which hath made the sea and the dry land. JONAH 3 3 So Jonah arose, and went unto Nineveh, according to the word of the LORD. Now Nineveh was AN exceeding great city of three days' journey. MICAH 1 6 Therefore I will make Samaria as AN heap of the field, and as plantings of a vineyard: and I will pour down the stones thereof into the valley, and I will discover the foundations thereof. 7 And all the graven images thereof shall be beaten to pieces, and all the hires thereof shall be burned with the fire, and all the idols thereof will I lay desolate: for she gathered it of the hire of AN harlot, and they shall return to the hire of AN harlot. 15 Yet will I bring AN heir unto thee, O inhabitant of Mareshah: he shall come unto Adullam the glory of Israel. MICAH 2 3 Therefore thus saith the LORD; Behold, against this family do I devise AN evil, from which ye shall not remove your necks; neither shall ye go haughtily: for this time is evil. 8 Even of late my people is risen up as AN enemy: ye pull off the robe with the garment from them that pass by securely as men averse from war. MICAH 6 16 For the statutes of Omri are kept, and all the works of the house of Ahab, and ye walk in their counsels; that I should make thee a desolation, and the inhabitants thereof AN hissing: therefore ye shall bear the reproach of my people. NAHUM 1 8 But with AN overrunning flood he will make AN utter end of the place thereof, and darkness shall pursue his enemies. 9 What do ye imagine against the LORD? he will make AN utter end: affliction shall not rise up the second time. HABAKKUK 2 3 For the vision is yet for AN appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry. 9 Woe to him that coveteth AN evil covetousness to his house, that he may set his nest on high, that he may be delivered from the power of evil! ZEPHANIAH 1 10 And it shall come to pass in that day, saith the LORD, that there shall be the noise of a cry from the fish gate, and AN howling from the second, and a great crashing from the hills. ZEPHANIAH 3 12 I will also leave in the midst of thee AN afflicted and poor people, and they shall trust in the name of the LORD. HAGGAI 2 16 Since those days were, when one came to AN heap of twenty measures, there were but ten: when one came to the pressfat for to draw out fifty vessels out of the press, there were but twenty. ZECHARIAH 5 6 And I said, What is it? And he said, This is AN ephah that goeth forth. He said moreover, This is their resemblance through all the earth. 11 And he said unto me, To build it AN house in the land of Shinar: and it shall be established, and set there upon her own base. ZECHARIAH 7 12 Yea, they made their hearts as AN adamant stone, lest they should hear the law, and the words which the LORD of hosts hath sent in his spirit by the former prophets: therefore came a great wrath from the LORD of hosts. ZECHARIAH 9 9 Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion; shout, O daughter of Jerusalem: behold, thy King cometh unto thee: he is just, and having salvation; lowly, and riding upon AN ass, and upon a colt the foal of AN ass. 16 And the LORD their God shall save them in that day as the flock of his people: for they shall be as the stones of a crown, lifted up as AN ensign upon his land. ZECHARIAH 12 6 In that day will I make the governors of Judah like AN hearth of fire among the wood, and like a torch of fire in a sheaf; and they shall devour all the people round about, on the right hand and on the left: and Jerusalem shall be inhabited again in her own place, even in Jerusalem. ZECHARIAH 13 5 But he shall say, I am no prophet, I am AN husbandman; for man taught me to keep cattle from my youth. --MORE-- |
