PROVERBS 3 24 When thou liest down, thou shalt not be AFRAID: yea, thou shalt lie down, and thy sleep shall be sweet. 25 Be not AFRAID of sudden fear, neither of the desolation of the wicked, when it cometh. 28 Say not unto thy neighbour, Go, and come again, and to morrow I will give; when thou hast it by thee. PROVERBS 4 2 For I give you good doctrine, forsake ye not my law. 3 For I was my father's son, tender and only beloved in the sight of my mother. 11 I have taught thee in the way of wisdom; I have led thee in right paths. PROVERBS 5 12 And say, How have I hated instruction, and my heart despised reproof; 14 I was almost in all evil in the midst of the congregation and assembly. PROVERBS 7 6 For at the window of my house I looked through my casement, 7 And beheld among the simple ones, I discerned among the youths, a young man void of understanding, 14 I have peace offerings with me; this day have I payed my vows. 15 Therefore came I forth to meet thee, diligently to seek thy face, and I have found thee. 16 I have decked my bed with coverings of tapestry, with carved works, with fine linen of Egypt. 17 I have perfumed my bed with myrrh, aloes, and cinnamon. PROVERBS 8 4 Unto you, O men, I call; and my voice is to the sons of man. 6 Hear; for I will speak of excellent things; and the opening of my lips shall be right things. 12 I wisdom dwell with prudence, and find out knowledge of witty inventions. 13 The fear of the LORD is to hate evil: pride, and arrogancy, and the evil way, and the froward mouth, do I hate. 14 Counsel is mine, and sound wisdom: I am understanding; I have strength. 17 I love them that love me; and those that seek me early shall find me. 20 I lead in the way of righteousness, in the midst of the paths of judgment: 21 That I may cause those that love me to inherit substance; and I will fill their treasures. 23 I was set up from everlasting, from the beginning, or ever the earth was. 24 When there were no depths, I was brought forth; when there were no fountains abounding with water. 25 Before the mountains were settled, before the hills was I brought forth: 27 When he prepared the heavens, I was there: when he set a compass upon the face of the depth: 30 Then I was by him, as one brought up with him: and I was daily his delight, rejoicing always before him; PROVERBS 9 5 Come, eat of my bread, and drink of the wine which I have mingled. PROVERBS 20 9 Who can say, I have made my heart clean, I am pure from my sin? 22 Say not thou, I will recompense evil; but wait on the LORD, and he shall save thee. PROVERBS 22 13 The slothful man saith, There is a lion without, I shall be slain in the streets. 19 That thy trust may be in the LORD, I have made known to thee this day, even to thee. 20 Have not I written to thee excellent things in counsels and knowledge, 21 That I might make thee know the certainty of the words of truth; that thou mightest answer the words of truth to them that send unto thee? PROVERBS 23 35 They have stricken me, shalt thou say, and I was not sick; they have beaten me, and I felt it not: when shall I awake? I will seek it yet again. PROVERBS 24 29 Say not, I will do so to him as he hath done to me: I will render to the man according to his work. 30 I went by the field of the slothful, and by the vineyard of the man void of understanding; 32 Then I saw, and considered it well: I looked upon it, and received instruction. PROVERBS 26 19 So is the man that deceiveth his neighbour, and saith, Am not I in sport? PROVERBS 27 11 My son, be wise, and make my heart glad, that I may answer him that reproacheth me. PROVERBS 30 2 Surely I am more brutish than any man, and have not the understanding of a man. 3 I neither learned wisdom, nor have the knowledge of the holy. 7 Two things have I required of thee; deny me them not before I die: 9 Lest I be full, and deny thee, and say, Who is the LORD? or lest I be poor, and steal, and take the name of my God in vain. 18 There be three things which are too wonderful for me, yea, four which I know not: 20 Such is the way of an adulterous woman; she eateth, and wipeth her mouth, and saith, I have done no wickedness. PROVERBS 31 21 She is not AFRAID of the snow for her household: for all her household are clothed with scarlet. ECCLESIASTES 1 12 I the Preacher was king over Israel in Jerusalem. 13 And I gave my heart to seek and search out by wisdom concerning all things that are done under heaven: this sore travail hath God given to the sons of man to be exercised therewith. 14 I have seen all the works that are done under the sun; and, behold, all is vanity and vexation of spirit. 16 I communed with mine own heart, saying, Lo, I am come to great estate, and have gotten more wisdom than all they that have been before me in Jerusalem: yea, my heart had great experience of wisdom and knowledge. 17 And I gave my heart to know wisdom, and to know madness and folly: I perceived that this also is vexation of spirit. --MORE-- |
