DEUTERONOMY 29 1 These are the words of the covenant, which the LORD commanded Moses to make with the children of Israel in the LAND of Moab, beside the covenant which he made with them in Horeb. 2 And Moses called unto all Israel, and said unto them, Ye have seen all that the LORD did before your eyes in the LAND of Egypt unto Pharaoh, and unto all his servants, and unto all his LAND; 8 And we took their LAND, and gave it for an inheritance unto the Reubenites, and to the Gadites, and to the half tribe of Manasseh. 16 (For ye know how we have dwelt in the LAND of Egypt; and how we came through the nations which ye passed by; 22 So that the generation to come of your children that shall rise up after you, and the stranger that shall come from a far LAND, shall say, when they see the plagues of that LAND, and the sicknesses which the LORD hath laid upon it; 23 And that the whole LAND thereof is brimstone, and salt, and burning, that it is not sown, nor beareth, nor any grass groweth therein, like the overthrow of Sodom, and Gomorrah, Admah, and Zeboim, which the LORD overthrew in his anger, and in his wrath: 24 Even all nations shall say, Wherefore hath the LORD done thus unto this LAND? what meaneth the heat of this great anger? 25 Then men shall say, Because they have forsaken the covenant of the LORD God of their fathers, which he made with them when he brought them forth out of the LAND of Egypt: 27 And the anger of the LORD was kindled against this LAND, to bring upon it all the curses that are written in this book: 28 And the LORD rooted them out of their LAND in anger, and in wrath, and in great indignation, and cast them into another LAND, as it is this day. DEUTERONOMY 30 5 And the LORD thy God will bring thee into the LAND which thy fathers possessed, and thou shalt possess it; and he will do thee good, and multiply thee above thy fathers. 9 And the LORD thy God will make thee plenteous in every work of thine hand, in the fruit of thy body, and in the fruit of thy cattle, and in the fruit of thy LAND, for good: for the LORD will again rejoice over thee for good, as he rejoiced over thy fathers: 16 In that I command thee this day to love the LORD thy God, to walk in his ways, and to keep his commandments and his statutes and his judgments, that thou mayest live and multiply: and the LORD thy God shall bless thee in the LAND whither thou goest to possess it. 18 I denounce unto you this day, that ye shall surely perish, and that ye shall not prolong your days upon the LAND, whither thou passest over Jordan to go to possess it. 20 That thou mayest love the LORD thy God, and that thou mayest obey his voice, and that thou mayest cleave unto him: for he is thy life, and the length of thy days: that thou mayest dwell in the LAND which the LORD sware unto thy fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give them. DEUTERONOMY 31 4 And the LORD shall do unto them as he did to Sihon and to Og, kings of the Amorites, and unto the LAND of them, whom he destroyed. 6 Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be AFRAID of them: for the LORD thy God, he it is that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee. 7 And Moses called unto Joshua, and said unto him in the sight of all Israel, Be strong and of a good courage: for thou must go with this people unto the LAND which the LORD hath sworn unto their fathers to give them; and thou shalt cause them to inherit it. 13 And that their children, which have not known any thing, may hear, and learn to fear the LORD your God, as long as ye live in the LAND whither ye go over Jordan to possess it. 16 And the LORD said unto Moses, Behold, thou shalt sleep with thy fathers; and this people will rise up, and go a whoring after the gods of the strangers of the LAND, whither they go to be among them, and will forsake me, and break my covenant which I have made with them. 20 For when I shall have brought them into the LAND which I sware unto their fathers, that floweth with milk and honey; and they shall have eaten and filled themselves, and waxen fat; then will they turn unto other gods, and serve them, and provoke me, and break my covenant. 21 And it shall come to pass, when many evils and troubles are befallen them, that this song shall testify against them as a witness; for it shall not be forgotten out of the mouths of their seed: for I know their imagination which they go about, even now, before I have brought them into the LAND which I sware. 23 And he gave Joshua the son of Nun a charge, and said, Be strong and of a good courage: for thou shalt bring the children of Israel into the LAND which I sware unto them: and I will be with thee. DEUTERONOMY 32 10 He found him in a desert LAND, and in the waste howling wilderness; he led him about, he instructed him, he kept him as the apple of his eye. 43 Rejoice, O ye nations, with his people: for he will avenge the blood of his servants, and will render vengeance to his adversaries, and will be merciful unto his LAND, and to his people. 47 For it is not a vain thing for you; because it is your life: and through this thing ye shall prolong your days in the LAND, whither ye go over Jordan to possess it. 49 Get thee up into this mountain Abarim, unto mount Nebo, which is in the LAND of Moab, that is over against Jericho; and behold the LAND of Canaan, which I give unto the children of Israel for a possession: 52 Yet thou shalt see the LAND before thee; but thou shalt not go thither unto the LAND which I give the children of Israel. DEUTERONOMY 33 13 And of Joseph he said, Blessed of the LORD be his LAND, for the precious things of heaven, for the dew, and for the deep that coucheth beneath, 28 Israel then shall dwell in safety alone: the fountain of Jacob shall be upon a LAND of corn and wine; also his heavens shall drop down dew. DEUTERONOMY 34 1 And Moses went up from the plains of Moab unto the mountain of Nebo, to the top of Pisgah, that is over against Jericho. And the LORD shewed him all the LAND of Gilead, unto Dan, 2 And all Naphtali, and the LAND of Ephraim, and Manasseh, and all the LAND of Judah, unto the utmost sea, 4 And the LORD said unto him, This is the LAND which I sware unto Abraham, unto Isaac, and unto Jacob, saying, I will give it unto thy seed: I have caused thee to see it with thine eyes, but thou shalt not go over thither. 5 So Moses the servant of the LORD died there in the LAND of Moab, according to the word of the LORD. 6 And he buried him in a valley in the LAND of Moab, over against Bethpeor: but no man knoweth of his sepulchre unto this day. 11 In all the signs and the wonders, which the LORD sent him to do in the LAND of Egypt to Pharaoh, and to all his servants, and to all his LAND, JOSHUA 1 2 Moses my servant is dead; now therefore arise, go over this Jordan, thou, and all this people, unto the LAND which I do give to them, even to the children of Israel. 4 From the wilderness and this Lebanon even unto the great river, the river Euphrates, all the LAND of the Hittites, and unto the great sea toward the going down of the sun, shall be your coast. 6 Be strong and of a good courage: for unto this people shalt thou divide for an inheritance the LAND, which I sware unto their fathers to give them. 9 Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not AFRAID, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest. 11 Pass through the host, and command the people, saying, Prepare you victuals; for within three days ye shall pass over this Jordan, to go in to possess the LAND, which the LORD your God giveth you to possess it. 13 Remember the word which Moses the servant of the LORD commanded you, saying, The LORD your God hath given you rest, and hath given you this LAND. 14 Your wives, your little ones, and your cattle, shall remain in the LAND which Moses gave you on this side Jordan; but ye shall pass before your brethren armed, all the mighty men of valour, and help them; 15 Until the LORD have given your brethren rest, as he hath given you, and they also have possessed the LAND which the LORD your God giveth them: then ye shall return unto the LAND of your possession, and enjoy it, which Moses the LORD's servant gave you on this side Jordan toward the sunrising. JOSHUA 2 1 And Joshua the son of Nun sent out of Shittim two men to spy secretly, saying, Go view the LAND, even Jericho. And they went, and came into an harlot's house, named Rahab, and lodged there. 9 And she said unto the men, I know that the LORD hath given you the LAND, and that your terror is fallen upon us, and that all the inhabitants of the LAND faint because of you. 14 And the men answered her, Our life for yours, if ye utter not this our business. And it shall be, when the LORD hath given us the LAND, that we will deal kindly and truly with thee. 18 Behold, when we come into the LAND, thou shalt bind this line of scarlet thread in the window which thou didst let us down by: and thou shalt bring thy father, and thy mother, and thy brethren, and all thy father's household, home unto thee. 24 And they said unto Joshua, Truly the LORD hath delivered into our hands all the LAND; for even all the inhabitants of the country do faint because of us. JOSHUA 4 18 And it came to pass, when the priests that bare the ark of the covenant of the LORD were come up out of the midst of Jordan, and the soles of the priests' feet were lifted up unto the dry LAND, that the waters of Jordan returned unto their place, and flowed over all his banks, as they did before. 22 Then ye shall let your children know, saying, Israel came over this Jordan on dry LAND. --MORE-- |
