JUDGES 19 30 And it was so, that all that saw it said, There was no such deed done nor seen from the day that the children of Israel came up out of the LAND of Egypt unto this day: consider of it, take advice, and speak your minds. Then David departed, and came into the forest of Hareth. 1 SAMUEL 23 3 And David's men said unto him, Behold, we be AFRAID here in Judah: how much more then if we come to Keilah against the armies of the Philistines? 23 See therefore, and take knowledge of all the lurking places where he hideth himself, and come ye again to me with the certainty, and I will go with you: and it shall come to pass, if he be in the LAND, that I will search him out throughout all the thousands of Judah. 27 But there came a messenger unto Saul, saying, Haste thee, and come; for the Philistines have invaded the LAND. 1 SAMUEL 27 1 And David said in his heart, I shall now perish one day by the hand of Saul: there is nothing better for me than that I should speedily escape into the LAND of the Philistines; and Saul shall despair of me, to seek me any more in any coast of Israel: so shall I escape out of his hand. 8 And David and his men went up, and invaded the Geshurites, and the Gezrites, and the Amalekites: for those nations were of old the inhabitants of the LAND, as thou goest to Shur, even unto the LAND of Egypt. 9 And David smote the LAND, and left neither man nor woman alive, and took away the sheep, and the oxen, and the asses, and the camels, and the apparel, and returned, and came to Achish. 1 SAMUEL 28 3 Now Samuel was dead, and all Israel had lamented him, and buried him in Ramah, even in his own city. And Saul had put away those that had familiar spirits, and the wizards, out of the LAND. 5 And when Saul saw the host of the Philistines, he was AFRAID, and his heart greatly trembled. 9 And the woman said unto him, Behold, thou knowest what Saul hath done, how he hath cut off those that have familiar spirits, and the wizards, out of the LAND: wherefore then layest thou a snare for my life, to cause me to die? 13 And the king said unto her, Be not AFRAID: for what sawest thou? And the woman said unto Saul, I saw gods ascending out of the earth. 20 Then Saul fell straightway all along on the earth, and was sore AFRAID, because of the words of Samuel: and there was no strength in him; for he had eaten no bread all the day, nor all the night. 1 SAMUEL 29 11 So David and his men rose up early to depart in the morning, to return into the LAND of the Philistines. And the Philistines went up to Jezreel. 1 SAMUEL 30 16 And when he had brought him down, behold, they were spread abroad upon all the earth, eating and drinking, and dancing, because of all the great spoil that they had taken out of the LAND of the Philistines, and out of the LAND of Judah. 1 SAMUEL 31 4 Then said Saul unto his armourbearer, Draw thy sword, and thrust me through therewith; lest these uncircumcised come and thrust me through, and abuse me. But his armourbearer would not; for he was sore AFRAID. Therefore Saul took a sword, and fell upon it. 9 And they cut off his head, and stripped off his armour, and sent into the LAND of the Philistines round about, to publish it in the house of their idols, and among the people. 2 SAMUEL 1 14 And David said unto him, How wast thou not AFRAID to stretch forth thine hand to destroy the LORD's anointed? 2 SAMUEL 3 12 And Abner sent messengers to David on his behalf, saying, Whose is the LAND? saying also, Make thy league with me, and, behold, my hand shall be with thee, to bring about all Israel unto thee. 2 SAMUEL 5 6 And the king and his men went to Jerusalem unto the Jebusites, the inhabitants of the LAND: which spake unto David, saying, Except thou take away the blind and the lame, thou shalt not come in hither: thinking, David cannot come in hither. 2 SAMUEL 6 9 And David was AFRAID of the LORD that day, and said, How shall the ark of the LORD come to me? --MORE-- |
