NUMBERS 14 2 And all the children of Israel murmured against Moses and against Aaron: and the whole congregation said unto them, Would God that we had died in the LAND of Egypt! or would God we had died in this wilderness! 3 And wherefore hath the LORD brought us unto this LAND, to fall by the sword, that our wives and our children should be a prey? were it not better for us to return into Egypt? 6 And Joshua the son of Nun, and Caleb the son of Jephunneh, which were of them that searched the LAND, rent their clothes: 7 And they spake unto all the company of the children of Israel, saying, The LAND, which we passed through to search it, is an exceeding good LAND. 8 If the LORD delight in us, then he will bring us into this LAND, and give it us; a LAND which floweth with milk and honey. 9 Only rebel not ye against the LORD, neither fear ye the people of the LAND; for they are bread for us: their defence is departed from them, and the LORD is with us: fear them not. 14 And they will tell it to the inhabitants of this LAND: for they have heard that thou LORD art among this people, that thou LORD art seen face to face, and that thy cloud standeth over them, and that thou goest before them, by day time in a pillar of a cloud, and in a pillar of fire by night. 16 Because the LORD was not able to bring this people into the LAND which he sware unto them, therefore he hath slain them in the wilderness. 23 Surely they shall not see the LAND which I sware unto their fathers, neither shall any of them that provoked me see it: 24 But my servant Caleb, because he had another spirit with him, and hath followed me fully, him will I bring into the LAND whereinto he went; and his seed shall possess it. 30 Doubtless ye shall not come into the LAND, concerning which I sware to make you dwell therein, save Caleb the son of Jephunneh, and Joshua the son of Nun. 31 But your little ones, which ye said should be a prey, them will I bring in, and they shall know the LAND which ye have despised. 34 After the number of the days in which ye searched the LAND, even forty days, each day for a year, shall ye bear your iniquities, even forty years, and ye shall know my breach of promise. 36 And the men, which Moses sent to search the LAND, who returned, and made all the congregation to murmur against him, by bringing up a slander upon the LAND, 37 Even those men that did bring up the evil report upon the LAND, died by the plague before the LORD. 38 But Joshua the son of Nun, and Caleb the son of Jephunneh, which were of the men that went to search the LAND, lived still. NUMBERS 15 2 Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When ye be come into the LAND of your habitations, which I give unto you, 18 Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When ye come into the LAND whither I bring you, 19 Then it shall be, that, when ye eat of the bread of the LAND, ye shall offer up an heave offering unto the LORD. 30 But the soul that doeth ought presumptuously, whether he be born in the LAND, or a stranger, the same reproacheth the LORD; and that soul shall be cut off from among his people. 41 I am the LORD your God, which brought you out of the LAND of Egypt, to be your God: I am the LORD your God. NUMBERS 16 13 Is it a small thing that thou hast brought us up out of a LAND that floweth with milk and honey, to kill us in the wilderness, except thou make thyself altogether a prince over us? 14 Moreover thou hast not brought us into a LAND that floweth with milk and honey, or given us inheritance of fields and vineyards: wilt thou put out the eyes of these men? we will not come up. NUMBERS 20 12 And the LORD spake unto Moses and Aaron, Because ye believed me not, to sanctify me in the eyes of the children of Israel, therefore ye shall not bring this congregation into the LAND which I have given them. 23 And the LORD spake unto Moses and Aaron in mount Hor, by the coast of the LAND of Edom, saying, 24 Aaron shall be gathered unto his people: for he shall not enter into the LAND which I have given unto the children of Israel, because ye rebelled against my word at the water of Meribah. NUMBERS 21 4 And they journeyed from mount Hor by the way of the Red sea, to compass the LAND of Edom: and the soul of the people was much discouraged because of the way. 22 Let me pass through thy LAND: we will not turn into the fields, or into the vineyards; we will not drink of the waters of the well: but we will go along by the king's high way, until we be past thy borders. 24 And Israel smote him with the edge of the sword, and possessed his LAND from Arnon unto Jabbok, even unto the children of Ammon: for the border of the children of Ammon was strong. 26 For Heshbon was the city of Sihon the king of the Amorites, who had fought against the former king of Moab, and taken all his LAND out of his hand, even unto Arnon. 31 Thus Israel dwelt in the LAND of the Amorites. 34 And the LORD said unto Moses, Fear him not: for I have delivered him into thy hand, and all his people, and his LAND; and thou shalt do to him as thou didst unto Sihon king of the Amorites, which dwelt at Heshbon. 35 So they smote him, and his sons, and all his people, until there was none left him alive: and they possessed his LAND. NUMBERS 22 3 And Moab was sore AFRAID of the people, because they were many: and Moab was distressed because of the children of Israel. 5 He sent messengers therefore unto Balaam the son of Beor to Pethor, which is by the river of the LAND of the children of his people, to call him, saying, Behold, there is a people come out from Egypt: behold, they cover the face of the earth, and they abide over against me: 6 Come now therefore, I pray thee, curse me this people; for they are too mighty for me: peradventure I shall prevail, that we may smite them, and that I may drive them out of the LAND: for I wot that he whom thou blessest is blessed, and he whom thou cursest is cursed. 13 And Balaam rose up in the morning, and said unto the princes of Balak, Get you into your LAND: for the LORD refuseth to give me leave to go with you. NUMBERS 26 4 Take the sum of the people, from twenty years old and upward; as the LORD commanded Moses and the children of Israel, which went forth out of the LAND of Egypt. 19 The sons of Judah were Er and Onan: and Er and Onan died in the LAND of Canaan. 53 Unto these the LAND shall be divided for an inheritance according to the number of names. 55 Notwithstanding the LAND shall be divided by lot: according to the names of the tribes of their fathers they shall inherit. NUMBERS 27 12 And the LORD said unto Moses, Get thee up into this mount Abarim, and see the LAND which I have given unto the children of Israel. NUMBERS 32 1 Now the children of Reuben and the children of Gad had a very great multitude of cattle: and when they saw the LAND of Jazer, and the LAND of Gilead, that, behold, the place was a place for cattle; 4 Even the country which the LORD smote before the congregation of Israel, is a LAND for cattle, and thy servants have cattle: 5 Wherefore, said they, if we have found grace in thy sight, let this LAND be given unto thy servants for a possession, and bring us not over Jordan. 7 And wherefore discourage ye the heart of the children of Israel from going over into the LAND which the LORD hath given them? 8 Thus did your fathers, when I sent them from Kadeshbarnea to see the LAND. 9 For when they went up unto the valley of Eshcol, and saw the LAND, they discouraged the heart of the children of Israel, that they should not go into the LAND which the LORD had given them. 11 Surely none of the men that came up out of Egypt, from twenty years old and upward, shall see the LAND which I sware unto Abraham, unto Isaac, and unto Jacob; because they have not wholly followed me: 17 But we ourselves will go ready armed before the children of Israel, until we have brought them unto their place: and our little ones shall dwell in the fenced cities because of the inhabitants of the LAND. 22 And the LAND be subdued before the LORD: then afterward ye shall return, and be guiltless before the LORD, and before Israel; and this LAND shall be your possession before the LORD. 29 And Moses said unto them, If the children of Gad and the children of Reuben will pass with you over Jordan, every man armed to battle, before the LORD, and the LAND shall be subdued before you; then ye shall give them the LAND of Gilead for a possession: 30 But if they will not pass over with you armed, they shall have possessions among you in the LAND of Canaan. 32 We will pass over armed before the LORD into the LAND of Canaan, that the possession of our inheritance on this side Jordan may be ours. 33 And Moses gave unto them, even to the children of Gad, and to the children of Reuben, and unto half the tribe of Manasseh the son of Joseph, the kingdom of Sihon king of the Amorites, and the kingdom of Og king of Bashan, the LAND, with the cities thereof in the coasts, even the cities of the country round about. --MORE-- |
