DEUTERONOMY 3 2 And the LORD said unto me, Fear him not: for I will deliver him, and all his people, and his LAND, into thy hand; and thou shalt do unto him as thou didst unto Sihon king of the Amorites, which dwelt at Heshbon. 8 And we took at that time out of the hand of the two kings of the Amorites the LAND that was on this side Jordan, from the river of Arnon unto mount Hermon; 12 And this LAND, which we possessed at that time, from Aroer, which is by the river Arnon, and half mount Gilead, and the cities thereof, gave I unto the Reubenites and to the Gadites. 13 And the rest of Gilead, and all Bashan, being the kingdom of Og, gave I unto the half tribe of Manasseh; all the region of Argob, with all Bashan, which was called the LAND of giants. 18 And I commanded you at that time, saying, The LORD your God hath given you this LAND to possess it: ye shall pass over armed before your brethren the children of Israel, all that are meet for the war. 20 Until the LORD have given rest unto your brethren, as well as unto you, and until they also possess the LAND which the LORD your God hath given them beyond Jordan: and then shall ye return every man unto his possession, which I have given you. 25 I pray thee, let me go over, and see the good LAND that is beyond Jordan, that goodly mountain, and Lebanon. 28 But charge Joshua, and encourage him, and strengthen him: for he shall go over before this people, and he shall cause them to inherit the LAND which thou shalt see. DEUTERONOMY 4 1 Now therefore hearken, O Israel, unto the statutes and unto the judgments, which I teach you, for to do them, that ye may live, and go in and possess the LAND which the LORD God of your fathers giveth you. 5 Behold, I have taught you statutes and judgments, even as the LORD my God commanded me, that ye should do so in the LAND whither ye go to possess it. 14 And the LORD commanded me at that time to teach you statutes and judgments, that ye might do them in the LAND whither ye go over to possess it. 21 Furthermore the LORD was angry with me for your sakes, and sware that I should not go over Jordan, and that I should not go in unto that good LAND, which the LORD thy God giveth thee for an inheritance: 22 But I must die in this LAND, I must not go over Jordan: but ye shall go over, and possess that good LAND. 25 When thou shalt beget children, and children's children, and ye shall have remained long in the LAND, and shall corrupt yourselves, and make a graven image, or the likeness of any thing, and shall do evil in the sight of the LORD thy God, to provoke him to anger: 26 I call heaven and earth to witness against you this day, that ye shall soon utterly perish from off the LAND whereunto ye go over Jordan to possess it; ye shall not prolong your days upon it, but shall utterly be destroyed. 38 To drive out nations from before thee greater and mightier than thou art, to bring thee in, to give thee their LAND for an inheritance, as it is this day. 46 On this side Jordan, in the valley over against Bethpeor, in the LAND of Sihon king of the Amorites, who dwelt at Heshbon, whom Moses and the children of Israel smote, after they were come forth out of Egypt: 47 And they possessed his LAND, and the LAND of Og king of Bashan, two kings of the Amorites, which were on this side Jordan toward the sunrising; DEUTERONOMY 5 5 (I stood between the LORD and you at that time, to shew you the word of the LORD: for ye were AFRAID by reason of the fire, and went not up into the mount;) saying, 6 I am the LORD thy God, which brought thee out of the LAND of Egypt, from the house of bondage. 15 And remember that thou wast a servant in the LAND of Egypt, and that the LORD thy God brought thee out thence through a mighty hand and by a stretched out arm: therefore the LORD thy God commanded thee to keep the sabbath day. 16 Honour thy father and thy mother, as the LORD thy God hath commanded thee; that thy days may be prolonged, and that it may go well with thee, in the LAND which the LORD thy God giveth thee. 31 But as for thee, stand thou here by me, and I will speak unto thee all the commandments, and the statutes, and the judgments, which thou shalt teach them, that they may do them in the LAND which I give them to possess it. 33 Ye shall walk in all the ways which the LORD your God hath commanded you, that ye may live, and that it may be well with you, and that ye may prolong your days in the LAND which ye shall possess. DEUTERONOMY 6 1 Now these are the commandments, the statutes, and the judgments, which the LORD your God commanded to teach you, that ye might do them in the LAND whither ye go to possess it: 3 Hear therefore, O Israel, and observe to do it; that it may be well with thee, and that ye may increase mightily, as the LORD God of thy fathers hath promised thee, in the LAND that floweth with milk and honey. 10 And it shall be, when the LORD thy God shall have brought thee into the LAND which he sware unto thy fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give thee great and goodly cities, which thou buildedst not, 12 Then beware lest thou forget the LORD, which brought thee forth out of the LAND of Egypt, from the house of bondage. 18 And thou shalt do that which is right and good in the sight of the LORD: that it may be well with thee, and that thou mayest go in and possess the good LAND which the LORD sware unto thy fathers. 23 And he brought us out from thence, that he might bring us in, to give us the LAND which he sware unto our fathers. DEUTERONOMY 7 1 When the LORD thy God shall bring thee into the LAND whither thou goest to possess it, and hath cast out many nations before thee, the Hittites, and the Girgashites, and the Amorites, and the Canaanites, and the Perizzites, and the Hivites, and the Jebusites, seven nations greater and mightier than thou; 13 And he will love thee, and bless thee, and multiply thee: he will also bless the fruit of thy womb, and the fruit of thy LAND, thy corn, and thy wine, and thine oil, the increase of thy kine, and the flocks of thy sheep, in the LAND which he sware unto thy fathers to give thee. 18 Thou shalt not be AFRAID of them: but shalt well remember what the LORD thy God did unto Pharaoh, and unto all Egypt; 19 The great temptations which thine eyes saw, and the signs, and the wonders, and the mighty hand, and the stretched out arm, whereby the LORD thy God brought thee out: so shall the LORD thy God do unto all the people of whom thou art AFRAID. DEUTERONOMY 8 1 All the commandments which I command thee this day shall ye observe to do, that ye may live, and multiply, and go in and possess the LAND which the LORD sware unto your fathers. 7 For the LORD thy God bringeth thee into a good LAND, a LAND of brooks of water, of fountains and depths that spring out of valleys and hills; 8 A LAND of wheat, and barley, and vines, and fig trees, and pomegranates; a LAND of oil olive, and honey; 9 A LAND wherein thou shalt eat bread without scarceness, thou shalt not lack any thing in it; a LAND whose stones are iron, and out of whose hills thou mayest dig brass. 10 When thou hast eaten and art full, then thou shalt bless the LORD thy God for the good LAND which he hath given thee. 14 Then thine heart be lifted up, and thou forget the LORD thy God, which brought thee forth out of the LAND of Egypt, from the house of bondage; DEUTERONOMY 9 4 Speak not thou in thine heart, after that the LORD thy God hath cast them out from before thee, saying, For my righteousness the LORD hath brought me in to possess this LAND: but for the wickedness of these nations the LORD doth drive them out from before thee. 5 Not for thy righteousness, or for the uprightness of thine heart, dost thou go to possess their LAND: but for the wickedness of these nations the LORD thy God doth drive them out from before thee, and that he may perform the word which the LORD sware unto thy fathers, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. 6 Understand therefore, that the LORD thy God giveth thee not this good LAND to possess it for thy righteousness; for thou art a stiffnecked people. 7 Remember, and forget not, how thou provokedst the LORD thy God to wrath in the wilderness: from the day that thou didst depart out of the LAND of Egypt, until ye came unto this place, ye have been rebellious against the LORD. 19 For I was AFRAID of the anger and hot displeasure, wherewith the LORD was wroth against you to destroy you. But the LORD hearkened unto me at that time also. 23 Likewise when the LORD sent you from Kadeshbarnea, saying, Go up and possess the LAND which I have given you; then ye rebelled against the commandment of the LORD your God, and ye believed him not, nor hearkened to his voice. 28 Lest the LAND whence thou broughtest us out say, Because the LORD was not able to bring them into the LAND which he promised them, and because he hated them, he hath brought them out to slay them in the wilderness. DEUTERONOMY 10 7 From thence they journeyed unto Gudgodah; and from Gudgodah to Jotbath, a LAND of rivers of waters. 11 And the LORD said unto me, Arise, take thy journey before the people, that they may go in and possess the LAND, which I sware unto their fathers to give unto them. 19 Love ye therefore the stranger: for ye were strangers in the LAND of Egypt. --MORE-- |
