JEREMIAH 39 17 But I will deliver thee in that day, saith the LORD: and thou shalt not be given into the hand of the men of whom thou art AFRAID. JEREMIAH 41 18 Because of the Chaldeans: for they were AFRAID of them, because Ishmael the son of Nethaniah had slain Gedaliah the son of Ahikam, whom the king of Babylon made governor in the land. JEREMIAH 42 11 Be not AFRAID of the king of Babylon, of whom ye are AFRAID; be not AFRAID of him, saith the LORD: for I am with you to save you, and to deliver you from his hand. 16 Then it shall come to pass, that the sword, which ye feared, shall overtake you there in the land of Egypt, and the famine, whereof ye were AFRAID, shall follow close after you there in Egypt; and there ye shall die. JEREMIAH 46 27 But fear not thou, O my servant Jacob, and be not dismayed, O Israel: for, behold, I will save thee from afar off, and thy seed from the land of their captivity; and Jacob shall return, and be in rest and at ease, and none shall make him AFRAID. EZEKIEL 2 6 And thou, son of man, be not AFRAID of them, neither be AFRAID of their words, though briers and thorns be with thee, and thou dost dwell among scorpions: be not AFRAID of their words, nor be dismayed at their looks, though they be a rebellious house. EZEKIEL 16 3 And say, Thus saith the Lord GOD unto Jerusalem; Thy birth and thy nativity is of the land of Canaan; thy FATHER was an Amorite, and thy mother an Hittite. 45 Thou art thy mother's daughter, that lotheth her husband and her children; and thou art the sister of thy sisters, which lothed their husbands and their children: your mother was an Hittite, and your FATHER an Amorite. EZEKIEL 18 4 Behold, all souls are mine; as the soul of the FATHER, so also the soul of the son is mine: the soul that sinneth, it shall die. 14 Now, lo, if he beget a son, that seeth all his FATHER's sins which he hath done, and considereth, and doeth not such like, 17 That hath taken off his hand from the poor, that hath not received usury nor increase, hath executed my judgments, hath walked in my statutes; he shall not die for the iniquity of his FATHER, he shall surely live. 18 As for his FATHER, because he cruelly oppressed, spoiled his brother by violence, and did that which is not good among his people, lo, even he shall die in his iniquity. 19 Yet say ye, Why? doth not the son bear the iniquity of the FATHER? When the son hath done that which is lawful and right, and hath kept all my statutes, and hath done them, he shall surely live. 20 The soul that sinneth, it shall die. The son shall not bear the iniquity of the FATHER, neither shall the FATHER bear the iniquity of the son: the righteousness of the righteous shall be upon him, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon him. EZEKIEL 22 7 In thee have they set light by FATHER and mother: in the midst of thee have they dealt by oppression with the stranger: in thee have they vexed the fatherless and the widow. 11 And one hath committed abomination with his neighbour's wife; and another hath lewdly defiled his daughter in law; and another in thee hath humbled his sister, his FATHER's daughter. EZEKIEL 27 35 All the inhabitants of the isles shall be astonished at thee, and their kings shall be sore AFRAID, they shall be troubled in their countenance. EZEKIEL 30 9 In that day shall messengers go forth from me in ships to make the careless Ethiopians AFRAID, and great pain shall come upon them, as in the day of Egypt: for, lo, it cometh. EZEKIEL 32 10 Yea, I will make many people amazed at thee, and their kings shall be horribly AFRAID for thee, when I shall brandish my sword before them; and they shall tremble at every moment, every man for his own life, in the day of thy fall. EZEKIEL 34 28 And they shall no more be a prey to the heathen, neither shall the beast of the land devour them; but they shall dwell safely, and none shall make them AFRAID. EZEKIEL 39 26 After that they have borne their shame, and all their trespasses whereby they have trespassed against me, when they dwelt safely in their land, and none made them AFRAID. EZEKIEL 44 25 And they shall come at no dead person to defile themselves: but for FATHER, or for mother, or for son, or for daughter, for brother, or for sister that hath had no husband, they may defile themselves. DANIEL 4 5 I saw a dream which made me AFRAID, and the thoughts upon my bed and the visions of my head troubled me. DANIEL 5 2 Belshazzar, whiles he tasted the wine, commanded to bring the golden and silver vessels which his FATHER Nebuchadnezzar had taken out of the temple which was in Jerusalem; that the king, and his princes, his wives, and his concubines, might drink therein. 11 There is a man in thy kingdom, in whom is the spirit of the holy gods; and in the days of thy FATHER light and understanding and wisdom, like the wisdom of the gods, was found in him; whom the king Nebuchadnezzar thy FATHER, the king, I say, thy FATHER, made master of the magicians, astrologers, Chaldeans, and soothsayers; 13 Then was Daniel brought in before the king. And the king spake and said unto Daniel, Art thou that Daniel, which art of the children of the captivity of Judah, whom the king my FATHER brought out of Jewry? 18 O thou king, the most high God gave Nebuchadnezzar thy FATHER a kingdom, and majesty, and glory, and honour: DANIEL 8 17 So he came near where I stood: and when he came, I was AFRAID, and fell upon my face: but he said unto me, Understand, O son of man: for at the time of the end shall be the vision. JOEL 2 22 Be not AFRAID, ye beasts of the field: for the pastures of the wilderness do spring, for the tree beareth her fruit, the fig tree and the vine do yield their strength. AMOS 2 7 That pant after the dust of the earth on the head of the poor, and turn aside the way of the meek: and a man and his FATHER will go in unto the same maid, to profane my holy name: AMOS 3 6 Shall a trumpet be blown in the city, and the people not be AFRAID? shall there be evil in a city, and the LORD hath not done it? JONAH 1 5 Then the mariners were AFRAID, and cried every man unto his god, and cast forth the wares that were in the ship into the sea, to lighten it of them. But Jonah was gone down into the sides of the ship; and he lay, and was fast asleep. 10 Then were the men exceedingly AFRAID, and said unto him. Why hast thou done this? For the men knew that he fled from the presence of the LORD, because he had told them. MICAH 4 4 But they shall sit every man under his vine and under his fig tree; and none shall make them AFRAID: for the mouth of the LORD of hosts hath spoken it. MICAH 7 6 For the son dishonoureth the FATHER, the daughter riseth up against her mother, the daughter in law against her mother in law; a man's enemies are the men of his own house. 17 They shall lick the dust like a serpent, they shall move out of their holes like worms of the earth: they shall be AFRAID of the LORD our God, and shall fear because of thee. NAHUM 2 11 Where is the dwelling of the lions, and the feedingplace of the young lions, where the lion, even the old lion, walked, and the lion's whelp, and none made them AFRAID? HABAKKUK 2 17 For the violence of Lebanon shall cover thee, and the spoil of beasts, which made them AFRAID, because of men's blood, and for the violence of the land, of the city, and of all that dwell therein. HABAKKUK 3 2 O LORD, I have heard thy speech, and was AFRAID: O LORD, revive thy work in the midst of the years, in the midst of the years make known; in wrath remember mercy. ZEPHANIAH 3 13 The remnant of Israel shall not do iniquity, nor speak lies; neither shall a deceitful tongue be found in their mouth: for they shall feed and lie down, and none shall make them AFRAID. ZECHARIAH 13 3 And it shall come to pass, that when any shall yet prophesy, then his FATHER and his mother that begat him shall say unto him, Thou shalt not live; for thou speakest lies in the name of the LORD: and his FATHER and his mother that begat him shall thrust him through when he prophesieth. MALACHI 1 6 A son honoureth his FATHER, and a servant his master: if then I be a FATHER, where is mine honour? and if I be a master, where is my fear? saith the LORD of hosts unto you, O priests, that despise my name. And ye say, Wherein have we despised thy name? MALACHI 2 5 My covenant was with him of life and peace; and I gave them to him for the fear wherewith he feared me, and was AFRAID before my name. 10 Have we not all one FATHER? hath not one God created us? why do we deal treacherously every man against his brother, by profaning the covenant of our fathers? MATTHEW 2 22 But when he heard that Archelaus did reign in Judaea in the room of his FATHER Herod, he was AFRAID to go thither: notwithstanding, being warned of God in a dream, he turned aside into the parts of Galilee: MATTHEW 3 9 And think not to say within yourselves, We have Abraham to our FATHER: for I say unto you, that God is able of these stones to raise up children unto Abraham. MATTHEW 4 21 And going on from thence, he saw other two brethren, James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother, in a ship with Zebedee their FATHER, mending their nets; and he called them. 22 And they immediately left the ship and their FATHER, and followed him. MATTHEW 5 16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your FATHER which is in heaven. 45 That ye may be the children of your FATHER which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust. 48 Be ye therefore perfect, even as your FATHER which is in heaven is perfect. --MORE-- |
