NUMBERS 22 3 And Moab was sore AFRAID of the people, because they were many: and Moab was distressed because of the children of Israel. NUMBERS 27 3 Our FATHER died in the wilderness, and he was not in the company of them that gathered themselves together against the LORD in the company of Korah; but died in his own sin, and had no sons. 4 Why should the name of our FATHER be done away from among his family, because he hath no son? NUMBERS 30 3 If a woman also vow a vow unto the LORD, and bind herself by a bond, being in her FATHER's house in her youth; 4 And her FATHER hear her vow, and her bond wherewith she hath bound her soul, and her FATHER shall hold his peace at her; then all her vows shall stand, and every bond wherewith she hath bound her soul shall stand. 5 But if her FATHER disallow her in the day that he heareth; not any of her vows, or of her bonds wherewith she hath bound her soul, shall stand: and the LORD shall forgive her, because her FATHER disallowed her. 16 These are the statutes, which the LORD commanded Moses, between a man and his wife, between the FATHER and his daughter, being yet in her youth in her FATHER's house. NUMBERS 36 6 This is the thing which the LORD doth command concerning the daughters of Zelophehad, saying, Let them marry to whom they think best; only to the family of the tribe of their FATHER shall they marry. 8 And every daughter, that possesseth an inheritance in any tribe of the children of Israel, shall be wife unto one of the family of the tribe of her FATHER, that the children of Israel may enjoy every man the inheritance of his fathers. 11 For Mahlah, Tirzah, and Hoglah, and Milcah, and Noah, the daughters of Zelophehad, were married unto their FATHER's brothers' sons: 12 And they were married into the families of the sons of Manasseh the son of Joseph, and their inheritance remained in the tribe of the family of their FATHER. DEUTERONOMY 1 17 Ye shall not respect persons in judgment; but ye shall hear the small as well as the great; ye shall not be AFRAID of the face of man; for the judgment is God's: and the cause that is too hard for you, bring it unto me, and I will hear it. 29 Then I said unto you, Dread not, neither be AFRAID of them. DEUTERONOMY 2 4 And command thou the people, saying, Ye are to pass through the coast of your brethren the children of Esau, which dwell in Seir; and they shall be AFRAID of you: take ye good heed unto yourselves therefore: DEUTERONOMY 5 5 (I stood between the LORD and you at that time, to shew you the word of the LORD: for ye were AFRAID by reason of the fire, and went not up into the mount;) saying, 16 Honour thy FATHER and thy mother, as the LORD thy God hath commanded thee; that thy days may be prolonged, and that it may go well with thee, in the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee. DEUTERONOMY 7 18 Thou shalt not be AFRAID of them: but shalt well remember what the LORD thy God did unto Pharaoh, and unto all Egypt; 19 The great temptations which thine eyes saw, and the signs, and the wonders, and the mighty hand, and the stretched out arm, whereby the LORD thy God brought thee out: so shall the LORD thy God do unto all the people of whom thou art AFRAID. DEUTERONOMY 9 19 For I was AFRAID of the anger and hot displeasure, wherewith the LORD was wroth against you to destroy you. But the LORD hearkened unto me at that time also. DEUTERONOMY 18 22 When a prophet speaketh in the name of the LORD, if the thing follow not, nor come to pass, that is the thing which the LORD hath not spoken, but the prophet hath spoken it presumptuously: thou shalt not be AFRAID of him. DEUTERONOMY 20 1 When thou goest out to battle against thine enemies, and seest horses, and chariots, and a people more than thou, be not AFRAID of them: for the LORD thy God is with thee, which brought thee up out of the land of Egypt. DEUTERONOMY 21 13 And she shall put the raiment of her captivity from off her, and shall remain in thine house, and bewail her FATHER and her mother a full month: and after that thou shalt go in unto her, and be her husband, and she shall be thy wife. 18 If a man have a stubborn and rebellious son, which will not obey the voice of his FATHER, or the voice of his mother, and that, when they have chastened him, will not hearken unto them: 19 Then shall his FATHER and his mother lay hold on him, and bring him out unto the elders of his city, and unto the gate of his place; DEUTERONOMY 22 15 Then shall the FATHER of the damsel, and her mother, take and bring forth the tokens of the damsel's virginity unto the elders of the city in the gate: 16 And the damsel's FATHER shall say unto the elders, I gave my daughter unto this man to wife, and he hateth her; 19 And they shall amerce him in an hundred shekels of silver, and give them unto the FATHER of the damsel, because he hath brought up an evil name upon a virgin of Israel: and she shall be his wife; he may not put her away all his days. 21 Then they shall bring out the damsel to the door of her FATHER's house, and the men of her city shall stone her with stones that she die: because she hath wrought folly in Israel, to play the whore in her FATHER's house: so shalt thou put evil away from among you. 29 Then the man that lay with her shall give unto the damsel's FATHER fifty shekels of silver, and she shall be his wife; because he hath humbled her, he may not put her away all his days. 30 A man shall not take his FATHER's wife, nor discover his FATHER's skirt. DEUTERONOMY 26 5 And thou shalt speak and say before the LORD thy God, A Syrian ready to perish was my FATHER, and he went down into Egypt, and sojourned there with a few, and became there a nation, great, mighty, and populous: DEUTERONOMY 27 16 Cursed be he that setteth light by his FATHER or his mother. And all the people shall say, Amen. 20 Cursed be he that lieth with his FATHER's wife; because he uncovereth his FATHER's skirt. And all the people shall say, Amen. 22 Cursed be he that lieth with his sister, the daughter of his FATHER, or the daughter of his mother. And all the people shall say, Amen. DEUTERONOMY 28 10 And all people of the earth shall see that thou art called by the name of the LORD; and they shall be AFRAID of thee. 60 Moreover he will bring upon thee all the diseases of Egypt, which thou wast AFRAID of; and they shall cleave unto thee. DEUTERONOMY 31 6 Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be AFRAID of them: for the LORD thy God, he it is that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee. DEUTERONOMY 32 6 Do ye thus requite the LORD, O foolish people and unwise? is not he thy FATHER that hath bought thee? hath he not made thee, and established thee? 7 Remember the days of old, consider the years of many generations: ask thy FATHER, and he will shew thee; thy elders, and they will tell thee. DEUTERONOMY 33 9 Who said unto his FATHER and to his mother, I have not seen him; neither did he acknowledge his brethren, nor knew his own children: for they have observed thy word, and kept thy covenant. JOSHUA 1 9 Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not AFRAID, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest. JOSHUA 2 12 Now therefore, I pray you, swear unto me by the LORD, since I have shewed you kindness, that ye will also shew kindness unto my FATHER's house, and give me a true token: 13 And that ye will save alive my FATHER, and my mother, and my brethren, and my sisters, and all that they have, and deliver our lives from death. 18 Behold, when we come into the land, thou shalt bind this line of scarlet thread in the window which thou didst let us down by: and thou shalt bring thy FATHER, and thy mother, and thy brethren, and all thy FATHER's household, home unto thee. JOSHUA 6 23 And the young men that were spies went in, and brought out Rahab, and her FATHER, and her mother, and her brethren, and all that she had; and they brought out all her kindred, and left them without the camp of Israel. 25 And Joshua saved Rahab the harlot alive, and her FATHER's household, and all that she had; and she dwelleth in Israel even unto this day; because she hid the messengers, which Joshua sent to spy out Jericho.
