EZEKIEL 26 5 It shall be a place FOR the spreading of nets in the midst of the sea: FOR I have spoken it, saith the Lord GOD: and it shall become a spoil to the nations. 7 FOR thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I will bring upon Tyrus Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon, a king of kings, from the north, with horses, and with chariots, and with horsemen, and companies, and much people. 14 And I will make thee like the top of a rock: thou shalt be a place to spread nets upon; thou shalt be built no more: FOR I the LORD have spoken it, saith the Lord GOD. 17 And they shall take up a lamentation FOR thee, and say to thee, How art thou destroyed, that wast inhabited of seafaring men, the renowned city, which wast strong in the sea, she and her inhabitants, which cause their terror to be on all that haunt it! 19 FOR thus saith the Lord GOD; When I shall make thee a desolate city, like the cities that are not inhabited; when I shall bring up the deep upon thee, and great waters shall cover thee; 21 I will make thee a terror, and thou shalt be no more: though thou be sought FOR, yet shalt thou never be found again, saith the Lord GOD. EZEKIEL 27 2 Now, thou son of man, take up a lamentation FOR Tyrus; 3 And say unto Tyrus, O thou that art situate at the entry of the sea, which art a merchant of the people FOR many isles, Thus saith the Lord GOD; O Tyrus, thou hast said, I am of perfect beauty. 5 They have made all thy ship boards of fir trees of Senir: they have taken cedars from Lebanon to make masts FOR thee. 15 The men of Dedan were thy merchants; many isles were the merchandise of thine hand: they brought thee FOR a present horns of ivory and ebony. 18 Damascus was thy merchant in the multitude of the wares of thy making, FOR the multitude of all riches; in the wine of Helbon, and white wool. 20 Dedan was thy merchant in precious clothes FOR chariots. 31 And they shall make themselves utterly bald FOR thee, and gird them with sackcloth, and they shall weep FOR thee with bitterness of heart and bitter wailing. 32 And in their wailing they shall take up a lamentation FOR thee, and lament over thee, saying, What city is like Tyrus, like the destroyed in the midst of the sea? EZEKIEL 28 10 Thou shalt die the deaths of the uncircumcised by the hand of strangers: FOR I have spoken it, saith the Lord GOD. 23 FOR I will send into her pestilence, and blood into her streets; and the wounded shall be judged in the midst of her by the sword upon her on every side; and they shall know that I am the LORD. EZEKIEL 29 3 Speak, and say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I am against thee, Pharaoh king of Egypt, the great dragon that lieth in the midst of his rivers, which hath said, My river is mine own, and I have made it FOR myself. 5 And I will leave thee thrown into the wilderness, thee and all the fish of thy rivers: thou shalt fall upon the open fields; thou shalt not be brought together, nor gathered: I have given thee FOR meat to the beasts of the field and to the fowls of the heaven. 15 It shall be the basest of the kingdoms; neither shall it exalt itself any more above the nations: FOR I will diminish them, that they shall no more rule over the nations. 18 Son of man, Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon caused his army to serve a great service against Tyrus: every head was made bald, and every shoulder was peeled: yet had he no wages, nor his army, FOR Tyrus, FOR the service that he had served against it: 19 Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I will give the land of Egypt unto Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon; and he shall take her multitude, and take her spoil, and take her prey; and it shall be the wages FOR his army. 20 I have given him the land of Egypt FOR his labour wherewith he served against it, because they wrought FOR me, saith the Lord GOD. EZEKIEL 30 3 FOR the day is near, even the day of the LORD is near, a cloudy day; it shall be the time of the heathen. 9 In that day shall messengers go forth from me in ships to make the careless Ethiopians afraid, and great pain shall come upon them, as in the day of Egypt: FOR, lo, it cometh. 18 At Tehaphnehes also the day shall be darkened, when I shall break there the yokes of Egypt: and the pomp of her strength shall cease in her: as FOR her, a cloud shall cover her, and her daughters shall go into captivity. EZEKIEL 31 7 Thus was he fair in his greatness, in the length of his branches: FOR his root was by great waters. 11 I have therefore delivered him into the hand of the mighty one of the heathen; he shall surely deal with him: I have driven him out FOR his wickedness. 14 To the end that none of all the trees by the waters exalt themselves FOR their height, neither shoot up their top among the thick boughs, neither their trees stand up in their height, all that drink water: FOR they are all delivered unto death, to the nether parts of the earth, in the midst of the children of men, with them that go down to the pit. 15 Thus saith the Lord GOD; In the day when he went down to the grave I caused a mourning: I covered the deep FOR him, and I restrained the floods thereof, and the great waters were stayed: and I caused Lebanon to mourn FOR him, and all the trees of the field fainted FOR him. EZEKIEL 32 2 Son of man, take up a lamentation FOR Pharaoh king of Egypt, and say unto him, Thou art like a young lion of the nations, and thou art as a whale in the seas: and thou camest forth with thy rivers, and troubledst the waters with thy feet, and FOULEDST their rivers. 10 Yea, I will make many people amazed at thee, and their kings shall be horribly afraid FOR thee, when I shall brandish my sword before them; and they shall tremble at every moment, every man FOR his own life, in the day of thy fall. 11 FOR thus saith the Lord GOD; The sword of the king of Babylon shall come upon thee. 16 This is the lamentation wherewith they shall lament her: the daughters of the nations shall lament her: they shall lament FOR her, even FOR Egypt, and FOR all her multitude, saith the Lord GOD. 18 Son of man, wail FOR the multitude of Egypt, and cast them down, even her, and the daughters of the famous nations, unto the nether parts of the earth, with them that go down into the pit. 32 FOR I have caused my terror in the land of the living: and he shall be laid in the midst of the uncircumcised with them that are slain with the sword, even Pharaoh and all his multitude, saith the Lord GOD. EZEKIEL 33 2 Son of man, speak to the children of thy people, and say unto them, When I bring the sword upon a land, if the people of the land take a man of their coasts, and set him FOR their watchman: 11 Say unto them, As I live, saith the Lord GOD, I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked; but that the wicked turn from his way and live: turn ye, turn ye from your evil ways; FOR why will ye die, O house of Israel? 12 Therefore, thou son of man, say unto the children of thy people, The righteousness of the righteous shall not deliver him in the day of his transgression: as FOR the wickedness of the wicked, he shall not fall thereby in the day that he turneth from his wickedness; neither shall the righteous be able to live FOR his righteousness in the day that he sinneth. 13 When I shall say to the righteous, that he shall surely live; if he trust to his own righteousness, and commit iniquity, all his righteousnesses shall not be remembered; but FOR his iniquity that he hath committed, he shall die FOR it. 17 Yet the children of thy people say, The way of the Lord is not equal: but as FOR them, their way is not equal. 24 Son of man, they that inhabit those wastes of the land of Israel speak, saying, Abraham was one, and he inherited the land: but we are many; the land is given us FOR inheritance. 28 FOR I will lay the land most desolate, and the pomp of her strength shall cease; and the mountains of Israel shall be desolate, that none shall pass through. 31 And they come unto thee as the people cometh, and they sit before thee as my people, and they hear thy words, but they will not do them: FOR with their mouth they shew much love, but their heart goeth after their covetousness. 32 And, lo, thou art unto them as a very lovely song of one that hath a pleasant voice, and can play well on an instrument: FOR they hear thy words, but they do them not. EZEKIEL 34 8 As I live, saith the Lord GOD, surely because my flock became a prey, and my flock became meat to every beast of the field, because there was no shepherd, neither did my shepherds search FOR my flock, but the shepherds fed themselves, and fed not my flock; 10 Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I am against the shepherds; and I will require my flock at their hand, and cause them to cease from feeding the flock; neither shall the shepherds feed themselves any more; FOR I will deliver my flock from their mouth, that they may not be meat FOR them. 11 FOR thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I, even I, will both search my sheep, and seek them out. 17 And as FOR you, O my flock, thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I judge between cattle and cattle, between the rams and the he goats. 19 And as FOR my flock, they eat that which ye have trodden with your feet; and they drink that which ye have fouled with your feet. 29 And I will raise up FOR them a plant of renown, and they shall be no more consumed with hunger in the land, neither bear the shame of the heathen any more. --MORE-- |
