2 CHRONICLES 20 9 IF, when evil cometh upon us, as the sword, judgment, or pestilence, or famine, we stand before this house, and in thy presence, (for thy name is in this house,) and cry unto thee in our affliction, then thou wilt hear and help. 15 And he said, Hearken ye, all Judah, and ye inhabitants of Jerusalem, and thou king Jehoshaphat, Thus saith the LORD unto you, Be not AFRAID nor dismayed by reason of this great multitude; for the battle is not yours, but God's. 2 CHRONICLES 25 8 But IF thou wilt go, do it; be strong for the battle: God shall make thee fall before the enemy: for God hath power to help, and to cast down. 2 CHRONICLES 30 9 For IF ye turn again unto the LORD, your brethren and your children shall find compassion before them that lead them captive, so that they shall come again into this land: for the LORD your God is gracious and merciful, and will not turn away his face from you, IF ye return unto him. 2 CHRONICLES 32 7 Be strong and courageous, be not AFRAID nor dismayed for the king of Assyria, nor for all the multitude that is with him: for there be more with us than with him: EZRA 4 13 Be it known now unto the king, that, IF this city be builded, and the walls set up again, then will they not pay toll, tribute, and custom, and so thou shalt endamage the revenue of the kings. 16 We certify the king that, IF this city be builded again, and the walls thereof set up, by this means thou shalt have no portion on this side the river. Then I was very sore AFRAID, 5 And I said unto the king, IF it please the king, and IF thy servant have found favour in thy sight, that thou wouldest send me unto Judah, unto the city of my fathers' sepulchres, that I may build it. 7 Moreover I said unto the king, IF it please the king, let letters be given me to the governors beyond the river, that they may convey me over till I come into Judah; NEHEMIAH 4 3 Now Tobiah the Ammonite was by him, and he said, Even that which they build, IF a fox go up, he shall even break down their stone wall. 14 And I looked, and rose up, and said unto the nobles, and to the rulers, and to the rest of the people, Be not ye AFRAID of them: remember the LORD, which is great and terrible, and fight for your brethren, your sons, and your daughters, your wives, and your houses. NEHEMIAH 6 9 For they all made us AFRAID, saying, Their hands shall be weakened from the work, that it be not done. Now therefore, O God, strengthen my hands. 13 Therefore was he hired, that I should be AFRAID, and do so, and sin, and that they might have matter for an evil report, that they might reproach me. NEHEMIAH 9 29 And testifiedst against them, that thou mightest bring them again unto thy law: yet they dealt proudly, and hearkened not unto thy commandments, but sinned against thy judgments, (which IF a man do, he shall live in them;) and withdrew the shoulder, and hardened their neck, and would not hear. NEHEMIAH 10 31 And IF the people of the land bring ware or any victuals on the sabbath day to sell, that we would not buy it of them on the sabbath, or on the holy day: and that we would leave the seventh year, and the exaction of every debt. NEHEMIAH 13 21 Then I testified against them, and said unto them, Why lodge ye about the wall? IF ye do so again, I will lay hands on you. From that time forth came they no more on the sabbath. ESTHER 1 19 IF it please the king, let there go a royal commandment from him, and let it be written among the laws of the Persians and the Medes, that it be not altered, That Vashti come no more before king Ahasuerus; and let the king give her royal estate unto another that is better than she. ESTHER 3 9 IF it please the king, let it be written that they may be destroyed: and I will pay ten thousand talents of silver to the hands of those that have the charge of the business, to bring it into the king's treasuries. ESTHER 4 14 For IF thou altogether holdest thy peace at this time, then shall there enlargement and deliverance arise to the Jews from another place; but thou and thy father's house shall be destroyed: and who knoweth whether thou art come to the kingdom for such a time as this? 16 Go, gather together all the Jews that are present in Shushan, and fast ye for me, and neither eat nor drink three days, night or day: I also and my maidens will fast likewise; and so will I go in unto the king, which is not according to the law: and IF I perish, I perish. ESTHER 5 4 And Esther answered, IF it seem good unto the king, let the king and Haman come this day unto the banquet that I have prepared for him. 8 IF I have found favour in the sight of the king, and IF it please the king to grant my petition, and to perform my request, let the king and Haman come to the banquet that I shall prepare for them, and I will do to morrow as the king hath said. ESTHER 6 13 And Haman told Zeresh his wife and all his friends every thing that had befallen him. Then said his wise men and Zeresh his wife unto him, IF Mordecai be of the seed of the Jews, before whom thou hast begun to fall, thou shalt not prevail against him, but shalt surely fall before him. ESTHER 7 3 Then Esther the queen answered and said, IF I have found favour in thy sight, O king, and IF it please the king, let my life be given me at my petition, and my people at my request: 4 For we are sold, I and my people, to be destroyed, to be slain, and to perish. But IF we had been sold for bondmen and bondwomen, I had held my tongue, although the enemy could not countervail the king's damage. 6 And Esther said, The adversary and enemy is this wicked Haman. Then Haman was AFRAID before the king and the queen. ESTHER 8 5 And said, IF it please the king, and IF I have favour in his sight, and the thing seem right before the king, and I be pleasing in his eyes, let it be written to reverse the letters devised by Haman the son of Hammedatha the Agagite, which he wrote to destroy the Jews which are in all the king's provinces: ESTHER 9 13 Then said Esther, IF it please the king, let it be granted to the Jews which are in Shushan to do to morrow also according unto this day's decree, and let Haman's ten sons be hanged upon the gallows. JOB 3 25 For the thing which I greatly feared is come upon me, and that which I was AFRAID of is come unto me. JOB 4 2 IF we assay to commune with thee, wilt thou be grieved? but who can withhold himself from speaking? JOB 5 1 Call now, IF there be any that will answer thee; and to which of the saints wilt thou turn? 21 Thou shalt be hid from the scourge of the tongue: neither shalt thou be AFRAID of destruction when it cometh. 22 At destruction and famine thou shalt laugh: neither shalt thou be AFRAID of the beasts of the earth. JOB 6 21 For now ye are nothing; ye see my casting down, and are AFRAID. 28 Now therefore be content, look upon me; for it is evident unto you IF I lie. JOB 8 4 IF thy children have sinned against him, and he have cast them away for their transgression; 5 IF thou wouldest seek unto God betimes, and make thy supplication to the Almighty; 6 IF thou wert pure and upright; surely now he would awake for thee, and make the habitation of thy righteousness prosperous. 18 IF he destroy him from his place, then it shall deny him, saying, I have not seen thee. JOB 9 3 IF he will contend with him, he cannot answer him one of a thousand. 13 IF God will not withdraw his anger, the proud helpers do stoop under him. 16 IF I had called, and he had answered me; yet would I not believe that he had hearkened unto my voice. 19 IF I speak of strength, lo, he is strong: and IF of judgment, who shall set me a time to plead? 20 IF I justify myself, mine own mouth shall condemn me: IF I say, I am perfect, it shall also prove me perverse. 23 IF the scourge slay suddenly, he will laugh at the trial of the innocent. 24 The earth is given into the hand of the wicked: he covereth the faces of the judges thereof; IF not, where, and who is he? 27 IF I say, I will forget my complaint, I will leave off my heaviness, and comfort myself: 28 I am AFRAID of all my sorrows, I know that thou wilt not hold me innocent. 29 IF I be wicked, why then labour I in vain? 30 IF I wash myself with snow water, and make my hands never so clean; --MORE-- |
